Bad online order process - No update on expected delivery dates

I ordered a product on the website and there was no mention of the fact that the product is not in stock or it is an "order in" product only. I only found this out after I had ordered a supposedly "in stock" product.

It took three phone calls and approximately three weeks for the item to be delivered. The item was in "Awaiting fulfillment" status until my third call in three weeks.

Each time I was told that the product would be sent by the end of the week or next week and it wasn't until the third call. It looks like the staff were just giving out a timeline without checking and without any knowledge of when the item will be in stock.

I think there is no process in place to update customers automatically on expected delivery or shipment dates.

Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologise for the delays in dispatching your order. We initially attempted to send it from our own stock, but despite an extensive search, the items showing in our system could not be located. As a result, we placed an order with the supplier, which was unfortunately delayed further due to an error on their end.

While this explains what happened, it does not excuse the delay. You are absolutely right that we need stronger processes to keep customers informed, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

Had a hick up with the freight company

Had a hick up with the freight company. Spoke with John Chartres from online sales. He done everything he could to fix the matter and offered to rectify the problem. He found a solution and the problem was solved.
Great customer service and great guy to deal with!
