Poor experience

The watch looks good and is exactly what I wanted. The date was difficult to set with random dates appearing but I got to the right number eventually. Then the watch froze after a few days. I turned the hour hand to reset the time, but the dates just kept appearing randomly again but the watch seemed to be working with the second hand going round. Then it stopped again after a few hours. I realise that these things happen but I have to say that the after sales service from Timex has been atrocious. They just reply with computer generated answers. I'm writing this purchase off as a bad experience not to be repeated.

Had my Timex Easy Reader watch for 8…

Had my Timex Easy Reader watch for 8 days. The leather band completely fell apart. My guess a Chinese contribution to this mistake I bought. Customer Service is a joke and would not send me a replacement band. What they would do is ship me a new watch once this one is returned and that I should expect a replacement within 3 months! At one point these watches were suppose to take a licking and still be beating. The only thing that's being beat is the consumer. This piece of garbage will be in the garbage all because of a watch band that they wouldn't replace after 8 days use.

Purchased a Timex Ironman watch direct…

Purchased a Timex Ironman watch direct from the Timex website in the UK. Wore it for 2 weeks. Wore it in the bath a couple of times. Water ingress into the display. Watch now unusable. Tried to return but their process is a (deliberate) pain in the butt. So, decided to just throw the watch out with the trash and write of the £90.

Lasted 6 months

Purchase watch on 4/8/2025. 6 months later the stem came out. Timex has made it so difficult to warranty, with so much documentation for a $30 watch. I’ll just throw it out and NEVER buy another Timex watch. John Cameron Swayze is rolling over in his grave

Appalling company!

I’m surprised that Timex got as much as 1 star! I went onto their website to buy a watch (thought they would be pleased) and they offered me a 15% promo code off the price of watch which I would receive ‘shortly’ Put the watch into the basket and waited for the code which never came. Tried to contact them and all I got was an Ai reply or a machine! Gave up after 48 hours of trying to talk to someone. Crap service, crap company! Don’t waste your time with them. I’ve gone back to Casio. Hopefully, they will value customers a bit better!

I hate this Timex

I hate this Timex. First time to buy online from Timex US. I received email for the Flash sale with 31% off. i keyed with space of the coupon and all sudden go through without discount! I paid for the full price , and i am unable to stop the payment!! I immediately emailed to its customer support, and confirmed that the order was unfulfilled, and they said they don’t allow any cancelation and updated detailed info in policy. I was told as it is unfulfilled so my request will be forwarded to a human agent to review. I had waited for 2 days, there is no reply and item is marked as shipped 2 days later!!! It is totally unacceptable!! if there is no discount, i can get it from my country with much cheaper price and i don't have to pay for the imported tax! I really hate this company. I will not buy any watch from you anymore in the future!

Bought a Deepwater in March of 2025

Bought a Deepwater in March of 2025. Sometime in July I noticed the second hand was moving but not the minute or hour hands did. I brought it to a watchmaker thinking it may be a week battery. I was told the stem was broken internally. I contacted Timex sometime in late August. I was told I had to send it to the Timex OFFSHORE FACILITY and it could take 2 to 3 months. No local repair! They received the watch on August 15. I got it back around October 22. Wore it a few days and it stopped. Timex said to send them a video. They responded that all looked of. I asked if they noticed the minute and hour hands not moving. No reply.

Poor customer service

Ordered a watch and then found it quite a bit cheaper on amazon. Rang to cancel order but they said it was too late even though payment hadn't been taken and the watch was still in the warehouse. Their customer service was shocking, had to go to all the hassle of returning it. What a waste of everyone's time and money.

A truly terrible experience with Timex!

It’s been over 10 days since I placed my order and nothing has happened — no shipping, no communication, no way to contact anyone who can actually help. I can’t change the delivery address, can’t cancel the order, and the customer service is completely unresponsive.

Honestly, this is unacceptable for a brand like Timex. Once they’ve taken your money, it feels like you no longer exist as a customer. Avoid until they fix their service and start treating customers properly.

Avoid buying their watches online

I placed an order 2 weeks ago and haven’t received an email confirmation. The money was deducted when I placed the order. No update on shipping at the order tracking page. No customer service line that works. Honestly this is just unacceptable from a so called “global brand”.

I would not recommending ordering from them. I've ordered a watch weeks ago, and my order has still not been fulfilled. When I email customer service, what I assume is AI, responds very quickly "escalating" the problem and then nobody responds again for days. They've "canceled" my order and then un canceled it when I asked why it was canceled. When I asked if we could cancel it because it's a watch that's supposed to be a Birthday gift, they say it cant be canceled. But its also not been fulfilled. They're basically just modern day crooks stealing money

Bought a recently reissued 1972 domed face watch. Superb looking watch but alas with a plastic dome face. How could they not have learned that this is a major floor in it original design. I’ve had it a day and now have a lovely big scratch on its face. My 1979 Casio classic reissue that cost &49 even has a glass face. Why on gods earth would Timex not upgrade their reissue to glass!
Well that was £220 well spent.

Timex deepwater

Bought a timex deepwater online.
Pros:
Looks decent
Appears to keep time

Cons:
1. The rear section of the second hand is about the same color and size as the hour hand so can make it difficult to quickly see the actual time
2. The second hand doesn't line up accurately with the second markings on the watch so makes it difficult to track a second count.
3. Lack of attention to detail and poor design overall

I brought myself a watch - it's not even a year old, but the colour has faded massively and the strap has picked up every colour going, so looks dirty! No matter how I clean it :(

Was given a Timex Expedition Chronograph as a gift

Was given a Timex Expedition watch with chronograph for my birthday. 5 weeks later, none of the stems / buttons work I can not change the time, can not use the stopwatch feature and when I push the stem in for the indiglo light, it remains on unless I forcefully pull it out. Call warranty and they said I would have to send it in for repair "offshore" with an expected wait time of 2-3 months and would be informed of the cost of the repair before they fixed it.
So dissapointed in the company that I have bought watches from for over 40 years.

No Instructions For Timex Easy Reader And Poor Dial Quality

Its good for telling the time, but its impossible to change the date. When I got it my Easy Timex Reader I saw that the date was wrong. I looked in the instructions on how to change the date, and all the instructions said was stuff about the battery, literally nothing else. I don't know if it was meant to come with actual instructions or not, but either way it didn't have anything useful in it. I tried pulling the dial out, which was absurdly hard to do, but I could only change the time. I had a look on Timex's site, and the model of watch they used to explain how to change the time was significantly different to mine. I found a video on Amazon (the only related instructions I could find) showing me what to do on what I thought was the same watch (later realised it wasn't). I tried pulling it out to 'two' for the date, but it wouldn't pull out. I found out the hard way that these were the wrong instructions for the watch, and that therefore there are no instructions for this watch, as when I pulled the dial a last time, it flew out across the room and I had to hunt for it. I gave it to family member to help, turns out you have to pull it out to 'one' for the date, and 'two' for the time. Because the dial is almost impossible to pull out, and the margin for 'one' is so miniscule, it's basically impossible to change the date.

In summary, Timex Easy Reader did not come with any real instructions, and the dial doesn't work properly/is a really really poor design. Who on Earth designs, or makes, a watch like this?

Faulty Recycled Fabric Strap

Bought my Expedition Watch less than 4 weeks ago - the fabric ‘recycled’ strap is fraying at the end and around the pin holes. I have a collection of 18 watches of various makes so I don’t wear my Timex every day…
When they asked for a review about my purchase I told them about the strap and sent photos. Basically they have point blank & categorically refused to exchange or provide a different strap - it’s not their ‘policy’ I’ve been told. All their responses are clearly AI generated, written by a robot! They have acknowledged the strap is faulty and to ‘consider my feedback for the future’ so effectively they admit it’s faulty but are unwilling to rectify the situation. So I will never buy a watch from ‘Terrible Timex’ again! Customer Service is non existent - only ‘Robot Responses’ 👎 It seems their policy is…
“I don’t have any solution but I certainly admire the problem”

Timex: a bad time

I ordered several Timex watches last spring and tried on several different Expedition versions to find a great fit for me. Ultimately I selected the Timex Men's Expedition North Tide-Temp-Compass 43mm in brown/black/stainless. The battery died pretty quickly on the watch, that was a disappointment. I got less than 2 months of wear out of the watch before the battery life ended. I live in a rural area and watch support isn't readily available for pressure sealing watches. I've taken the watch to two different jeweler shops and have struck out on having the battery replaced. Most recently, a jeweler suggested to toss the watch because it was "discardable fashion" and "not a durable good". This was also pretty sad news. Currently I have a Timex Expedition with the back pate removed, but not reseated, after visiting a jeweler in Seattle as well as Port Orchard, WA. Sadly, I'd like to return the watch. Replacing the battery is a temporary solution to a unit that' difficult to service and even more challenging to find a service provider for. I have the receipt from purchase available and can confirm it's tragically virtually unworn. There've been several other Timex watches on my wrist over the years, this one seemed very promising and looks great but doesn't meet the challenge of basic wearability.

Timex support requests files to support warranty/repair claims, then the email server rejects them. Timex's AI email response ensured me my issue would be resolved, then was rejected by a customer service team member. Timex's watch arrived with partial life batteries and needs to be sent overseas to be repaired. The watch has been unwearable for the majority of the time I've owned it and two jewelers have rejected repairing it. The product and service is a sham. Support was unable and unwilling to resolve my issue. Timex is known for simple, affordable, and durable timepieces--this unit and the support has not lived up to that expectation and has been a disappointment and wasted expense. I'm very saddened by the response Timex has offered.

Dear Mr. Reiss-Schmidt,

I am reaching out to express my deep disappointment with my first customer experience with Timex. The handling of my recent order issue has been frustrating and does not reflect a customer-first approach. I want to bring this to your attention, as I believe it highlights serious deficiencies in your customer service process.

To summarize:

I received a faulty watch with visible defects under the crystal.

My initial request for assistance was met with a generic response that lacked acknowledgment of the issue.

After providing images and clarifications, I was advised to return the product at my own expense—an unacceptable request given that the item was defective.

Upon further inquiry, I was eventually provided with a return label, but was then asked to repurchase the watch at full price before receiving a refund for the 20% welcome discount I had initially used.

This process is unnecessarily burdensome and time-consuming. As someone who works in the Customer Success space, I find it unacceptable that Timex expects a customer to go through such hoops for a resolution. The approach taken by your support team suggests a lack of genuine care for customer satisfaction, which has left me with no confidence in the brand.

I had intended to be a long-term customer, but this experience has made me reconsider. I urge you to review this case and take corrective action to ensure future customers do not face similar frustration. I would appreciate a prompt response with a reasonable resolution.

Best regards,
Andrew Clements
