I went for the NUC10 i7 in the tall case with Ubuntu. It’s the ideal local dev server.

Great customer service. The delivery was missing the OS Restore Key and after a quick chat with the CS team, they arranged for it to be sent immediately.

While unboxing, I noticed that there was an upgrade of one of my hard drives from a SSHD to SSD. The CS team mentioned that since it was an error on their part while building my PC that they wouldn't charge me the difference. Great experience!

I am very happy with the NUC so far. I had some issues originally with the pre-installed ubuntu, it didn't want to boot up. I have tried a few things, if I recall correctly after disabling network boot option I was able to boot up once, but almost immediately after Ubuntu started it froze completely.
Anyway a day later I formatted the whole SSD and installed arch-linux from scratch, and after that point I had 0 issues with the machine itself. :) It is exactly what I was looking for, I am using it as a work-machine (I am a web developer) and with this much RAM and CPU power it is wonderful to work with. :) Also it is surprisingly quiet, except for some noise from the build-in power supply sometimes, which only seems to happen if I connect it at home (probably a problem with the extension cord at home so no problem really).

All in all I am more than happy with the product and special thanks to simlynuc for delivering it so quickly.

Received my NUC in record time but it came with an incompatible power cable. No response to my e-mail pointing out the fact. Fortunately I had a spare cable lying around but would have appreciated a reply / apology.

Update: Got a very nice phone call from a representative with an apology and an accessory discount. Updated my rating to reflect this. :)

Absolutely stunning customer service. The NUC they recommended was exactly what I needed, incredible machine, with performance that made my two year old Dell workstation look pretty silly.

My experience of using SimplyNUC was very good and I liked the fact that I could configure the NUC to my own needs. Also, the despatch and delivery of my items was surprisingly quick and I received timely and appropriate email's to update me on the progress of my order.

The NUC itself is a fantastic bit of kit. I'm still amazed at how small it is and how well it performs. It's practically silent compared to my old PC and has handled everything that I've thrown at it (including some photographic processing) with aplomb. I installed the latest version of Linux Mint OS and it's making for a great computing experience.
