We love SimplyCook. We've subscribed for over a year now and we've never eaten so well. Vegetarian meals at restaurants are very very rarely as good as what we cook ourselves with these magic pots.... See more

As a family with vegan, vegetarian and neat eaters, I have always found many recipes that everyone loved, that can be adapted to suit us all

Excellent Management for rapid response

Recipes are always easy to follow, and really tasty.
Been having the boxes for about 6 months now, had a problem with the box this month, not SimplyCooks fault but was still sorted quickly by the customer care team. Would highly recommend for convenience and helping with the choice of something different for dinner.

I would honestly give no stars if that was possible. We joined recently with a 'free trial' but you have to pay postage. This then signed us up to subscription that apparently you can cancel at any time but their website as others have said make it difficult to do. The other issue I have is that you never receive emails from them confirming your subscription and the date of your next order. The idea behind Simply Cook is that you can customise the box you receive but as you never get emails telling you your order is about to be placed, you don't have the option to choose. I cancelled and submitted my feedback on their web form as they are apparently 'so keen to hear from you' but no response. I then emailed a complaint about my experience, again no response. Honestly an awful experience and their replies to other feedback shows that they don't care. I have lots of subscriptions and this experience is by far the worst. Also the taste of the sauces was not pleasant.
Update: emailed (again!) to Simply Cook with my details as I do have orders with them.

Wonderful customer service. When I ordered my simply cook as a Sky VIP treat, I was not aware the it would be a regular subscription. However I emailed Simply Cook who responded straight away & cancelled the subscription. Friendly staff.

Like many others - signed up for a free trial (understanding I could cancel the subscription if it wasn't for me) however.......(Read their reply below as well)
GOOD LUCK unsubscribing. I don't think I have ever seen a company make the process more opaque or unclear as Simply Cook . I imagine many people give up, then ring up when they can and cancel.
There is no 'unsubscribe' or 'cancel subscription' link... You're supposed to hunt around the account management section wondering whether the 'pause' will take you to the right section (it doesn't).
When you do find the right section, it then says "You can't unsubscribe whilst in your 7 day free trial".
So, I'm supposed to wait for the trial to finish, then cancel at which point (no doubt) I'm already committed to a second week/month subscription.
This is a con.
It should not be difficult to cancel a subscription, and this is not an accident. It's a cynical attempt to make cancelling as difficult as possible, knowing many will either assume it's their fault or not bother at all.
I eventually gave up and found their email.
If you are in this predicament - email them and insist on being immediately unsubscribed keeping a copy of the email trail.
A shame what should be a decent idea, ruined by the fact you can't shake off the feeling you're being conned.
They should fire the idiots in marketing and IT design who thought doing this was a good idea.
100% WOULD NOT RECOMMEND purely because of this, not because of the product.
UPDATE FOLLOWING THEIR REPLY BELOW:
NOWHERE on the site does it tell you to email them. Nowhere at all and their email address isn't even listed.
Their standard response below probably tells you all you need to know about how much they care about the situation with the subscription
SECOND UPDATE. Simply Cook have now updated their response below. It's almost as though their initial response made it seem like the customer had missed something. Here's an idea - under 'Manage my account' have a button called 'Unsubscribe' or 'Cancel'. That would be easier and clearer wouldn't it Simply Cook? Idiots.

Great way to cook, just adds flavour and interest to meals whilst giving you flexibility to choose alternative ingredients to suit preference. Customer service give a fast response to help with any niggles. I have tried other food boxes but was always disappointed with the quality of ingredients. No such problem with simply cook and they last a few weeks to give you flexibility around cooking dates and fits through your letter box so no worries about when it is arriving ☺️

We have used SimplyCook for many years and love it. The whole family enjoys many of the recipes which are great for midweek meals. Plus certain recipes are great for weekend treat meals too.
Great customer service too. I recently had an issue with delivery and it was resolved very quickly.
