In Palermo airport I had to wait 1 hr at the desk before it was my turn to arrange my pre-booked car. At the pick-up I had to wait 30 min because my car was not available. In addition I didn't receive the correct car, it was a level lower than the car I booked... so I paid too much. The car I received was dirty inside and full of scratches at the outside, when I mentioned this they told me to take pictures. The guy at the desk was very unfriendly, the people that gave me the car didn't have time, they just gave me the keys, no explanations or support at all. I had sometimes serious difficulties to use the rear gear of the car. It was a very bad experience and I was afraid to return the car to get some comments about the scratches. Next time NO Sicily by car... for sure

Our experience with Sicily by Car in Pisa was 100% perfect! When we called to let them know our flight was delayed, we were met with great friendliness and patience. We were immediately reassured that our car would be held for us until our arrival. The service at the pickup desk was also exceptionally friendly and patient, and everything was handled in perfect English. Picking up the car (a new vehicle with barely 7,000 kilometers on the clock) and returning it went smoothly. After all our previous experiences with other rental companies over the years, this first experience with Sicily by Car was a breath of fresh air. Based on our experience, we can highly recommend them and will certainly use their services again in the future.

Picked up a car on friday. Car was abused by the previous driver. Has a leaking right tire. Warning lights pop-up like a christmas tree without any clear reason. Customer service is unreachable, road side assistance picks up the phone hut does nothing.

No issues whatsoever, courteous and polite staff. Efficient pick up and drop off service.

Extremely rude and unprofessional staff at Sicily by Car, Alghero Airport. From the beginning, the employee had a very bad attitude and an unpleasant tone.

We had a confirmed and prepaid reservation through DoYouItaly, but instead of simply giving us the car, he kept looking for excuses and asking for additional things such as cards and documents. He never clearly told us what the actual problem was and simply wasted our time.

Very unprofessional company with terrible customer service. I would never book with them again and definitely do not recommend them!

In general everything was OK, but the service should pay more attention to the vehicle cleanliness.

The collection of our car was fine and effortless, we were given an upgrade and received a clean “almost new” car. All the documentation was easy to follow and emailed to me before I had left the car park. Returning the car was also seamless and quick and again the return documentation was emailed to me before our flight left. A great service overall and we will continue to use S.B.Car for more car hires.

Very satisfied. People at the company could easily communicate in English this time and they were very polite and helpful.

They gave us a car with engine problems and we had to return to change it. The rental car had 85.000 km on the clock already.

We had rented a VW T-Roc, but we were handed a smaller car of an inferior brand with a non-functional aircon. Without prior notice the company withdrew 1600 euros from our account for alleged damages. We registered no damage apart from some minor scratches which were already there, and of which we have photo evidence. But Customer service does not reply to our messages.

If I could give zero stars I would. The car we got broke down, which wasnt the problem, this happens. But the way the SBC dealt with the issue was appalling. We were told to get it back to the nearest airport, approx 2 hrs drive away (which wasn't possible). Or call road side assistance to get a tow truck to take it away. But we were then told, with the tow truck option, which really really annoyed me, we still had to get to the nearest airport to collect a new car, at our expense, financially and time. With 2 snall kids, one with additional needs. I asked why the tow truck couldn't bring us the new car and then take away the old one, to which THEY DIDN'T EVEN REPLY. we had to get the car jump started 7 times over 3 days. My husband is mechanically minded and knew the "starter" but they didn't care. Cars break down, this happens, but the way they handled the situation was awful, stay clear of this company!!! Such an obvious solution to keep everyone happy was get the new car delivered while taking away old one, but it shows common sense isn't all that common!!
