I’ve used send my bag to send a suitcase to the UK from Aus and in reverse and have had zero issues. It’s VERY quick, reliable with tracking and seamless with the packing slips they offer.

From beginning to end, this was an extremely easy company to work with. The live chat was very helpful when I did have questions.
DISGRACEFUL USELESS service
This is the second time I had to use this service. Unfortunately, BOTH times the driver didn't show up. Being in the middle of an international relocation is already stressful, without having to waste a whole day stuck at home from 9:00 to 18:00 waiting for someone to show up!
This time, I called the support line 3 times: at 12:30 and at 16:30 - and I was reassured they had contacted the driver and he was "on the route" and at 18:00 when nobody showed up. However, I was informed that at 18:00 FedEx lines are no longer reachable. How convenient!!
So my only options were 1) to reschedule collection, and having to waste another entire day, with NO GUARANTEE the driver would actually show up or 2) drop a 30 KG suitcase to the drop out point - PAYING FOR A TAXI OUT OF MY POCKET, on top of having wasted a whole day!!

Winning Experience
I have used them twice, from the US to Spain. It's been a good experience both times. The customer service is uber-excellent. Night or day, via chat I've been able to reach a real person almost immediately. They are patient, understanding the stress one goes through when shipping overseas. I recommend them heartily.

Love working with you guys. Have sent bags four times already and you are my only GO TO.
I was a little disappointed in how filthy my suitcase was when it was delivered but that is not your fault. Still, perhaps you can mention it to the suppliers you use (This one was FedEx). Unless they rolled it in the mud, there is no reason it should have been that dirty!

My advice-don’t.
They pick up your bag. Then that’s it. When things then happen or don’t happen they simply say it is a matter for you to take up with the agents (their agents mind you) and nothing to do with them. They appear to have a fundamental lack of understanding of simple contract law. My advice. Post things.

Very happy with the whole experience
Very smooth booking process and reasonably priced. The whole process from start to finish was faultless and quick. My shipment from the UK to Australia arrived before something I ordered on the same day coming from Melbourne to Sydney. Tracking was accurate and up to date and even the delivery courier was so pleasant and helpful! Have used before and will use again!
Incorrect customs handling and no accountability
I used Send My Bag to send a suitcase of my own belongings from France to the UK.
The shipment was clearly classified as personal effects, and I have the actual packing list (FedEx-approved personal effects pro forma invoice) which states:
- “used personal effects being forwarded”
- correct HS code for personal effects (99050000)
- and even explicitly that duties and taxes should not be applied.
Despite this, FedEx processed the shipment as a standard goods import under a completely different commodity code, and I was charged VAT and fees.
When I raised this, Send My Bag stated that no customs instructions were passed to FedEx, which is very concerning given that the correct customs documentation clearly existed.
As a customer, I provided the required information and followed their guidance (including being told my labels were fine after making updates). I have no control over how this documentation is transmitted to the courier.
Delivery itself was fine, but the handling of customs documentation and the refusal to take responsibility when something clearly went wrong is disappointing and have left me out of pocket. I would avoid them at all costs.

Always pay to be able to cancel your order, or lose it all.
Unfortunately the purpose for my trip was cancelled, so I no longer required the service. I (foolishly?) didn't pay for the ability to receive a full refund for the service - I think it's appalling that companies can do this, I cancelled several months before the trip so it's not like it's any inconvenience to them or going to incur a cost on their end.
If you're booking, be sure to pay their premium to be able to cancel your booking in the event of anything happening. I received £72 account credit on a £120 order, so that's £120 down the toilet as I likely won't need the service again in future.
