Terrible company, even worse support

I purchased a ticket to a concert for 6/26 in September of 2025 - 10 months ago. SeatGeek says you will have your ticket at least one day before the concert. I did not receive my ticket the day before, so I began to attempt to contact their support team. They ensured me that the ticket would be transferred to me before the event, that sometimes you may not get the tickets until the day of.

By the morning of the concert, I still did not have access to my ticket after driving 8 hours to the concert destination and paying for accommodations, so I began the support process again as soon as their support hours started, at 8AM my time. I spent 12 hours trying to gain access to my ticket to no avail. The support chat was insanely unhelpful, I actually got more answers from the initial AI chat bot than the actual human support employee. 3 hours before the concert I called their support line to try to get any information about my ticket, and I was met with the same type of communication. Not only were they not helpful, they called me the wrong name several times. They also told me they would 'make sure I was at the concert tonight.' They claimed they were going to contact the seller and call me back, they never called me back. I called back an hour before the show and was on hold for two hours.

Support chat never responded to me, I received no information or solution, I was not offered replacement tickets or a refund, I was just left there to deal with it after missing a highly anticipated AND EXPENSIVE event. After the two hour hold, I was put into contact with another support team member who finally was actually able to give me information on the situation. The only offer I received in form of a refund was an offer to refund only the ticket price, no extra fees, and a 20% discount on my next purchase. They have a 'Ticket Guarantee' where they claim every ticket is protected: "Have your tickets in hand before you get there. Get support when you need it most." I did not receive ANY support, and I did not have my ticket in hand at all, and was not given the opportunity to get a replacement ticket, as they only replace tickets for the same day event. Everyone should avoid purchasing tickets through this company.

Horrendous

If i could rate this website negative stars, i would. I purchased tickets to a baseball game and nowhere on those tickets or when buying those tickets did it say I was buying handicapped wheelchair seats until the DAY OF THE GAME. I am so disappointed

Terrible Customer Service, no refunds period.

To long to fully explain. Show in over a month and no refunds. Customer service via email was terrible. They sent us and F-U response. Called the help line. Estimated wait time 10 minutes. 43 minutes to answer the call. Then terrible customer service. Avoid using them at all costs

Lied to about the tickets I purchased

Lied to about the tickets I purchased. I purchased Yankees tickets because they said Jim Beam suite, and it will be a hot day and I want the option to go into the air conditioning to cool down. When I received the tickets, they were not jim beam and I am unable to talk to anyone. Stay away.

Seats were restricted view but that was not indicated at purchase!

I recently purchased tickets to a Broadway show. From how the app presented the tickets I thought they were in the center of the row. However, when the tickets were delivered (the day before the show), they were all the way on the left side with obstructed view. Nothing on the site said there was any possibility of obstructed view. Because the tickets were in the same row as indicated when I purchased, SeatGeek refused to make any concession. Very disappointing experience.

Smart pricing sold my tickets for %30…

Smart pricing sold my tickets for %30 cheaper than what tickets are selling for right at the moment (well out of the margin range they are claiming). I was even looking at the live prices when they sold. So x4 tickets - %30 = A lot. Yes, I am taking "their cut" into account. They don't allow setting a minimum price, so I should have bailed and gone to Stub.... next time.

This is the worst platform I bought the…

This is the worst platform I bought the ticket for Shakira concert in Dallas. Their ticket barcode didn’t work and American airline centre doesn’t accept their ticket. Called the agent to help and waited like more than 1.5 hours. Eventually I couldn’t even attend the ticket. So don’t buy ticket here on SeatGeek

It is not clear that the tickets are not cancellable. It says that nowhere on check out. I won't have the tickets until the day before, which is also a load of crap because it gives me zero time to figure it out. I will never use seat geek again.

Absolute nightmare. Scummy practices and terrible customer service.

This has genuinely been the worst experience I have ever had with any company in my life. I tried purchasing tickets for a show, but the platform consistently issued tickets for the wrong time. Thinking it was a temporary glitch, I attempted this three times hoping the issue would be resolved—but it happened every single time.

When I reached out to customer service to get a refund for their system's mistake, they flat-out refused. They will only offer a credit. I just want my money back so I can buy tickets from a reliable platform, but they are holding my money hostage.

To make matters worse, their credit policy is incredibly scummy. If you use the credit on a ticket that costs less than the credit amount, the remaining balance is completely voided. You are literally forced to spend more money out of pocket just to use what you are owed. Do yourself a huge favor and avoid SeatGeek at all costs. I hope no one else has to go through what I’ve dealt with.

I purchased tickets 6/15 that were…

I purchased tickets 6/15 that were advertised as “instant delivery”. When the tickets were not delivered in 2 days, I reached out to see what the issue was. I was told that I just missed the email in my inbox. That was not the case -1 painful day of phone calls later, seat geek informed me that my tickets were voided in a rare error. I was offered replacement tickets which I accepted, or so I thought. 5 more days go by, no delivery of the replacement tickets. I spent 2 hours on the phone with them today, only to be told the replacement tickets I accepted were no longer available. I was offered another set of replacement tickets that were $300 cheaper than my original tickets and was told that I would not be refunded the difference. $3,000 and 8 days later. I still have no tickets in hand. I was promised a call back today but it does not look like that would happen. Save your money and time and purchase directly from the source.

SeatGeek is an authorized NFL ticket…

SeatGeek is an authorized NFL ticket reseller. I am a New England Patriots season ticket holder and wanted to list some tickets for sale to the Patriots- Dolphins game during the second week of Jauary, 2027. I could not do so, because the game was not listed on the Patriots schedule in the area where ticket bar codes are entered to sell NFL tickets. Communicated through a Bot, email, speaking to an agent, and speaking to a supervisor. Nobody understood what I was talking about except the supervisor (maybe). Been over a week and still can't lis the tickets. I like the site, presentation, etc., but they should not take this long to fix mistakes!

Do not, repeat do not use this site! You will regret it.

This site is a scam. Don’t use it. Repeat do not use it. We bought tickets for the World Cup. My wife, who has Parkinson’s had to make special arrangements to get to Texas. We paid for the tickets and we strung along by SeatGeek who told us everything was normal until the day of event. We paid a bit of $400 for the tickets were now selling for over $4,500. They told us they couldn’t get the tickets and would give us a refund of $400.

What I figured happens. Resellers by tickets sell them on SeatGeek. If they drop in value you get the tickets. If they go in value. They sell them at the higher price again. And SeatGeek simply gives you a refund and the reseller is hedged against loss.

Invalid ticket scare the day before my event — terrible customer service and a credit that comes with strings attached

Bought a ticket to a festival 6 months in advance. Weeks before the event, I still hadn't received the transfer, so I reached out to SeatGeek multiple times with no resolution. The day before the event, they informed me the ticket was invalid and that my only option was a credit — not a refund — back to my account. By that point, ticket prices had quadrupled.

I requested escalation. Heard nothing back until an hour before the event the next day, when they suddenly informed me the ticket was actually valid and I could use it. The whiplash and stress of not knowing whether I could attend the event was unacceptable.
To make matters worse, it took a full month to receive the credit, and it comes with a minimum spend requirement of $197 — meaning I can't even use it without spending at least that amount again with a company that already failed me once.

Poor communication, slow resolution, and a credit system that feels more like a trap than a solution. Would not recommend.

Extremely poor customer service

I was gifted tickets to an event through email link. I was able to accept the tickets. Tickets then showed up in my seat geek account. But tickets disappeared two days before the event. I reached out to customer service right away. Chatbot was not able to help after 20 min pf chat. I was told technical support will reach out via email.

Technical support person then reached out via email few hours later. I provided requested info. But did not hear back from them till today afternoon. Today was the event date. Today customer service wanted more info. I provided that as well. But did not hear anything. Event went by without resolution.

Their customer service is horrible. No phone number to call or real time online person support staff to resolve the issue in timely fashion.

I would not even give them a 1 star…

I would not even give them a 1 star review…bought 15 tickets and only got 5 of them delivered. The rest were to be delivered 48 hours before concert. We are calling and trying to get someone on the phone to help us get the tickets we paid for the day before the concert. They could care less about helping you and helping you get your tickets you paid for. I would not ever use seat geek again. Ever! There are plenty more reputable companies to go through. I have learned my lesson.
