If anyone is thinking of getting a pair of Scarpa Terra boots think again I’ve just Brocken in my pair so comfortable, but to my alarm the soles are hollow filled with foam hardly got any wear out of them at all, when purchased I was assured that resoling was possible 🥵

Boots very comfortable but unfortunately I had a problem with the sole. I wrote to the company who have arranged free pick-up to see how they can assist.
All the staff very very helpful.

Scarpa boots won me over for their immediate comfort and no need to 'wear in'. However, at over £100 a throw I expected them to be more durable. They are the first boots I've ever had (I'm 67) that have had soles that leak due to normal wear and tear. Also the uppers also proved frail. So, unless you live in a desert or are an SAS man with a carefree Ministry of Defence budget to offer you a new pair each mission, then give Scarpa a miss.

I've had a pair of Scarpa SL's for 20+ years they are truly exceptional.

I've had my Scarpa boots for a couple of years. They are my first pair of fabric boots and they have been really comfy. The best! BUT they leak and that's appalling in a boot costing over £120. Never again. I was going to write to their customer service team, but in view of comments from other dissatisfied customers, I won't bother. And I won't ever go near Scarpa again.

Hi the scarpa boots are really comfy but the layer between the sole and boot just breaks down, it's like a a black spungy foam

Surprised to see negative reviews. I'm on my 3rd pair of lightweight boots and find them well made, comfortable and supportive. They are a smaller than the normal uk fit so I purchase a uk size larger than my other footwear. There again, I have the same problem with Italian clothes

Paid £140 for a pair of boots and the sole was worn out in less than a year. Customer services told me that there wasn't a manufacturing fault, that the wear would soon cause water ingress and they would not refund me. NEVER BUY SCARPA PRODUCTS!

I bought a pair of Scarpa Cyrus in September 2019 for £140. They are very comfortable and fit me well as I have narrow feet.
However after 9 months I started to feel the soles were wearing a little thin. A month later the inner layer started to show. I returned them to Scarpa saying that I felt the wear was unacceptable for an expensive quality product.
They were not really interested, saying that I had worn them on the wrong terrain (!), my foot position was wrong, I had been wrongly advised in the shop etc etc.
They offered me a discount against another pair of more expensive shoes. I explained that I didn't want to put another £100 towards a pair of shoes which might also wear out in less than a year.
i was very disappointed in the outcome and in the brand as a whole, I certainly expected better and I don't think that's unreasonable for a shoe costing £140.

I bought a pair of Scarpa Terra GTX boots on recommendation, oh what a mistake
A handsome, seemingly well made boot, but in use probably the worst boot I have owned bar none
I bought these for an expedition, broke them in gently on local undulating tracks, yet the 1st time they were used in anger was doing the Three Peaks in North Yorkshire in training. When I finished there was nary a trace of flesh left on my heels, blister on blister and the heavy walking socks were blooded and shredded.
I merely assumed at the time that I had used then too soon, and that they were not yet fully broken in.
After large number of weeks to allow the skin to heal, I tried them once again. Not a particularly long walk, some 25 miles in hilly terrain; ground that should have been ideal for this type of boot, according to the company hype.
Besides a fresh, new pair of walking socks I also strapped the heels with oxide tape, belt & braces. Result huge blisters, tape ripped to bits and the nap on the sock totally eradicated.
Initially I blamed it on the harsh, coarse heavy stitching across the spine of boot heel, but this is now much smoother than when first out of the box.
I have given them one more try, of only some 10 miles on a relatively easy surface. Once more, one heel ripped to bits, just to a slightly lesser degree
This has taken me back to my early day in the army, of many years ago when we wore heavy, metal studded, leather soled boots; the difference being they would break in reasonably quickly, and could be extremely comfortable; whereas these Scarpa boots are a constant useless walking disaster
I have gone back to my old, cheap made in Indonesia, boots: worn out they all be be but they are still far, far better than these over hyped bits of useless tat

I am somewhat surprised at the previous reviews as I have previously had a pair of Scarpa climbing shoes, 2 pairs of Scarpa shoes, 2 pairs of high altitude mountaineering boots and currently own a pair of 3-4 season mountain walking boots. I feel so confident with Scarpa that I have just ordered a new pair of winter mountaineering boots.
Scarpa is an Italian company and, like many other Italian companies, their boots can be a bit narrow in comparison to a British or German boot. It is, therefore, advisable to try boots on before you buy and get some expert advice.
My Scarpa footwear have always been made to a high standard and have served me well. They have performed as intended and have certainly never leaked. They can be a bit more expensive than some other boots and not every pair that I have tried on have been as comfortable as others. However, their price is on a par with other companies selling similar quality.

Paid £260. for Scarpa Rebel Lite 4 season boot. They leaked after a short time. I persevered with them after trying to waterproof them with spray waterproofer. No good. Sent them back to be told that my foot shape did not suit the boot last. I also lift my toe whilst walking which ruptured the goretex lining. Offer of 40% off a new pair was made. I refused this. The point being that the basics that you need whilst walking is a reliably dry foot, otherwise you are cold and uncomfortable. You can get better boots at a cheaper price. I only used mine for walking the dog on footpaths, the boots were rubbish. I will never buy Scarpa products again and I would advise anyone to do the same. They are rubbish.

Poor customer service. I sent boots back with a letter as uneven wear had cause damage to my Achilles’ tendon. Boots were sent back to me with no letter or explanation. Will never buy Scarpa again.

£140 walking boots that literally fall apart at the seems, I sent an email to the company customer services 2 weeks ago, cpmplainig that the Scarpa boots I bought, had split at the seems,and absolutely nothing back. A product that I won't purchase again and a customer care team that leaves a huge amount to be desired.
