Long drawn out process to close my mother's widows pension upon her death. As her son and sole executor. I sent them the death certificate and they continued to pester me every month for the Grant of Probate despite me telling them I didn't want the small payment that was outstanding. When I got the GOP a year later I sent them it and they then send me yet another form wanting more ID and signatures that they could have sent me from the start or with one of their multitude of letters they'd sent throughout the year. There was an issue with competing it. Decided to ring them. It took 6 minutes and 9 seconds to get through their many menu options and recorded messages and eventually be placed in a queue which I am number 32. Apparently after 1 hour and 23 minutes in the queue "their customer service representatives really want to speak to me" and I'm still waiting. I've decided after all the hassle I'll have whatever balance there is. I expect there will be some more forms!

After a death in the family we tried to claim the pension. Saint Gobain paid the land lord instead of the legal next of kin because the landlord has the right to a certain standard of living. So where are the rights of the family who received nothing? The funeral was paid for by family while the landlord paid nothing, not even a penny.

This leave ALL landlords with the ability to claim the pensions of ALL their tenants? This is not legal.
