Nice surprise

Didn’t even know this company was dealing with Thomas Cook refunds. Money put into my account yesterday - nice surprise and done within the 60 day deadline. Good stuff!

Absolute shambles of a company

Absolute shambles of a company, 3 claims for failed Thomas Cook Holidays, I've submitted all data to them for them to ask for the same details a further 4 times, it's not really hard to see I have my atol number, my final receipt from Thomas Cook and where I want my money putting in. Don't use them unless you want to wait months just to be asked for the same thing over and over again.

No hassle and money received within timescale

They dealt with my claim on behalf of CAA after collapse of Thomas Cook.
The CAA said that they aimed to process claims in 60 days from date of claim. A claim reference number was given and told if they required any further info they would be in touch.
Refund received after 51 days which is great considering they are dealing with several hundred thousand claims
Claim was dealt with jointly by 2 companies so same review left for each company

absolutely appalling service

absolutely appalling service. never return calls until you chase them.
My suitcase was lost on a cruise back in March. as the cruise line have now told me it is in Japan but they cannot retrieve it, the claim company will not cover as the suitcase had been 'found' - albeit 7 months after and on the other side of the world.
no conversations - all on email and very rude and abrupt
Read your policy as it's only covered on transit apparently and as i did not actually touch it on my homeward journey that is also impacting.
Quote from them........'What is covered 1. We will pay you up to the amount shown in the schedule of benefits for the accidental loss of, theft of or damage to baggage and valuables during your trip. The amount payable in the event of a total loss, will be the value at today’s prices less a deduction for wear, tear and depreciation (loss of value), or we may replace, reinstate or repair the lost or damaged baggage and/or valuables

As you can see from the above extract it does advise total loss of luggage is covered, as your case has been located cover would not apply.

Turning now to delayed luggage, within the policy wording it does state the following:

2. We will also pay you up to the amount shown in the schedule of benefits, for the emergency replacement of clothing, medication and toiletries if your baggage is temporarily lost in transit during the outward journey and not returned to you within 12 hours, as long as we receive written confirmation from the carrier, confirming the number of hours the baggage was delayed.

As your luggage was not delayed on your outward journey, unfortunately the above section would not provide cover.'

Following your review, I am very sorry to hear of your negative experience, as independent agents we are bound by the terms of each policy however, quite separately, every customer should receive great customer care as standard, therefore we take reports that this standard has not been met on this occasion very seriously. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we are investigating matters internally in order to address areas for improvement. James | Rightpath Claims

Avoid this company at all costs

Avoid this company at all costs. They are absolutely awful. When a claim is made for personal accident holiday compensation against a hotel they are not interested at all in pursuing it - even though the limit is £50,000 and you have all the paperwork necessary to make the genuine claim. They have absolutely no idea what they are doing and ask the same questions over and over again and do not read anything that is sent to them. Also you have dealings with different people every time. Seriously, pay extra to go with any other company apart from this one.

Bunch of jokers

Bunch of jokers. We missed our flights due to a sick child and road traffic accidents on the way to the airport. Had to spend the day in the airport and book new flights, via a different airport. Didn't realise the excess was £95 PER PERSON (hadn't read the microscopic print on the policy) which wiped out most of what we'd spent. Then they asked us to provide proof of the road traffic accidents - a month after the incidents, presumably via a foreign language police force. Won't be buying from Rightpath again...

My wife started bleeding from her nose…

My wife started bleeding from her nose while on holiday in Jordan. On our return we made a claim for less than £150 for treatment from a local clinic. We didn't even claim for emergency transport to receive treatment, just a basic treatment claim. We had to provide travel documentation, travel agency confirmations, flight details to and from Jordan. Lots of hoops to jump through.

Altough we provided evidence of the bill from the clinic, Rightpath said without an official stamp they would not pay our claim. The clinic had ticked the box on the bill to say we had paid, but Rightpath said it should have been stamped to prove we paid. Even though that is not the procedure in this Jordan clinic. Although we provided contact information for the clinic, Rightpath would not ring them to confirm the bill had been paid.

In the end we gave up trying to get the claim paid and will certainly avoid this company at all costs.

Horrible claim process.

Made a straight forward claim a load of hassle. Delays of 5-7 working days with each correspondence you send them - means that a simple claim took them 6 weeks to settle.

CoverForYou can do better than these.

Not even worse spending my time on…

Not even worse spending my time on writing here. Poor, a hustle, a lot of time and energy wasted to receive my money although it should have been a "straight forward claim", like the emergency services advised me. They also did not tell the truth claiming that they can't locate the call I made to the emergency services. It took me less than a minute to prove it to them, and only when I threatened to involve the ombudsman they finally admitted and reimbursed me.

Soooo dodgy

Soooo dodgy! They’ve been instructed by the Financial Ombudsman to pay out my claim as well as a penalty. Now they’re trying to dodge paying the penalty! This lot are hilarious - apparently very simple maths isn’t their strong point.... along with honesty!

Avoid at all costs!
