I have had hire car excess insurance cover with Reduce My Excess for several years. Way cheaper than buying cover directly from the car hire companies. For the first time, I also had to make a claim recently for a damaged windscreen. The online claims process is straightforward and the claim was settled within a matter of days.

My experience of making a claim…
I have subscribed to Reduce my Excess for a good number of years now, but only actually made a claim last year for damage to a wheel/tyre and associated costs. Everything was sorted very quickly and efficiently and I was repaid for all associated costs.

Straightforward
Bought (a 1 year policy) for a car hire last year, fortunately didn't require it so I don't have any experience in regards to that side of the policy.
Was a bit worried that when I signed up last year they would have some sort of dark pattern to try and trick me into letting the subscription renew (as i don't require it anymore). Fortunately have just received an email with plenty of time and a very straight forward process to cancel the renewel.
