Profit orientated, zero service

Ordered a package from Germany, arrives in Finland after 48 hours. Then spends 5 days with posti to be delivered a few km across Helsinki. Eventually it gets dropped at Easton mall 3.5km from where I live even though there is a couple of hundred lockers in 3 supermarkets 200m from my door.

Currently waiting for another package that has been with posti for 5 days but no sign of delivery. Worst postal service I've used in any country.

Zero notifications of customs duty to pay

Delays and not even able to give estimations

Terrible service, no update on a package for more than 7 days, after some congestion at the airport, apparently due to change in EU regulations. I contacted the consumer services twice. First time, I got some wrong estimation, the second time, they were not even able to give an estimation on the delay at all.

Meanwhile, a parcel ordered from the same country of origin but using Matkahuolto, found its way without any delay.

Clearly, not up to the standard of other Finnish services.

To avoid as much as possible.

Horrible service

Horrible service, they simply don't even bother doing their work at all, last package tracker update i got was the day i ordered my item, the delivery was postponed twice and then AMAZON (not Posti) let me know that it was probably lost. Also, if you want to contact Posti's customer support, you need to create an account on their page, giving them all your info:) I'd also assume you will need to pay money before doing that, since it's called "Posti Pro", but of course i didn't go that far to find out.

Somalia has a better post office system

I believe if you go to Somalia, the post system there works 10 times better than in Finland. I sent an xxs package. At the register 2 people were present to get the package. 2 days later I am now going back to pick up my own package, because it was too big for xxs package. So you have 2 people there and neither could've told me this info as they registered and sent the package? Now I have to pay the return fees and to again send the package. So what should have been 5.90€ will end up costing me 20€ about and package not making it now in time to its destination by Christmas. How in the F this country is still standing when 2 people cannot tell me simple most basic stuff I should know about their work? Then I have to pay for their lack of brain cells. 🤦🏽

Package was sent on 15th of Dec 2024 and Returned on 17th of Dec 2024 from Järvenpää K-Citymarket post office and then back to it.

Delivery to a wrong address

I ordered a gift for my girlfriend to my home address. Admittedly I expected it to be redirected to a nearby store like it always does, but it went a little unexpected. It got redirected to a random apartment block (Puuvillatehtaankatu 6, Tampere), to which I have no access as I do not live there. So there is no way to get the gift I waited a month for. I did get in contact with posti and they are going to redeliver it but it is only going to get to me the next week. I do not know if they just started dumping deliveries wherever most convenient to the delivery man, but I would strongly recommend using any other delivery company until posti sorts out their problems.

Unhelpful and rude

Tried to get in touch with them as for some reason my delivery was missing the phone number, this was to try and expedite things. They plainly refused to update anything. Chances are the item will be delayed or worse.

Bought second hand. Puzzle instead of jeans

Bought second hand. Got puzzle instead of jeans!! Seller told me they didnt recognize bags that it was packed in. Either got scammed by seller or Posti did this somehow. They also changed destination of parcel. Suspect they did that to swap package somehow.

Absolute shi-te company

Absolute shi-te company. I've been in Finland six days and I still don't have a delivery from them. The item is stuck in their system somewhere. The item is only 1.5 hrs from my house. Absolutely ridiculous. I could have walked and collected it myself.

Worst ever

Worst ever! I was waiting for a package at home that I received a message that I was not home and the parcel is delivered to an office to pick up. Also another time I was waiting for an important envelope and did not receive any update etc.

Careless

Since we have moved three weeks ago we have not received any letters. After many calls it seems that the problem was the location of our postbox. But where our letters are (some important documents) is still unknown. Instead of putting a note in the postbox, nothing was done. Seems like posti does not care at all about someones letters. For this overpriced service theres no service at all!

Incompetent liar

What I am telling you is based on multiple experiences. It is amazed me how Posti manages to p*ss me off consistently.

They repeatedly promise home delivery, but they just drop it in pick up point without even trying to make home delivery and said that they tried home delivery but I was not at home. Absolute knobhead.

Once, I bought massive piece of furniture and chose to pay more expensive delivery fee to have it delivered at home. They did not even try, immediately got notification to pick it up, are you joking? When I contacted Posti and the retailer, they said, 'You can just pick it up.' Of course I can, but that was not the point of purchasing home deliver service, and it is a big furniture. At the end they delivered it at home after I showed my google map history in which I did not leave house during the promised delivery time. I dared them as well, if their vehicle has GPS, show me the proof that the delivery person was around my area around the time. Incompetent liar!

They also like to move around delivery point. If Posti box in my area is full, they will move it far away based on their convenience, not customer convenience. Even though it's clear there is Posti box nearby my area that is empty.

I wish there are more options in choosing delivery company when do online shop, so I don't have to use Posti.

Posti sucks! I was waiting for an important letter…

I was waiting for an important letter from the UK and got a letter from Posti saying it is in Leppavaara to collect. Rushed off to Sello. Travel almost 10 kilometers there and back and there is no longer any Posti in Sello. So now I have to travel almost 20 kilometers there and back to the most terrible horrible place on earth Iso Omena to sign for this letter. Is Posti really serious that to collect or post items in this area of Espoo area we have to go to Matinkylä? What kind of insanity is that FFS! Did the clowns take over the Posti circus?

LOST PACKAGE

I sent a package of 20kgs on 13/12/2023 from Finland, after doing an erasmus, more than two months ago and i NEVER receive it. After MY calls for two months, because no one sent me an email or called me to update me about the delay or the MISSING, some days ago they sent me an email saying “your package is lost… sorry for the inconvenience… have a nice day” and a link to fill out with my information for a refund, that is 20€ x 1kg; since my pack was more expensive than 400€ they lost also a lot of MY money. It’s impossible to know where it is and NO ONE can help me to find it because I called Posti services since TWO DAYS and NOBODY ANSWERS, the voice says that they are BUSY and that they will call me again (i’ve never received a call again). it’s impossible that in 2024 they CAN’T FIND A PACKAGE OF 20KGS. I hope someone will help me because i had important things for me inside and i will do all i can to find it again. For sure i will not use posti again in my life.

Mail from abroad taken hostage

It’s been two letters from friends and family that I didn’t receive from France and Canada. I’m beside myself. This is unacceptable. I don’t even know where they are. I told everybody not to send me anything anymore. It’s the first time I experience something like this in a country!

We don't know who has the parcel or where is the pick up point

Somebody sent me a parcel from Finland to Spain and their tracking says that is ready for pick up... but not from where. When you call them they say "Oh, yes, we don't know who has the parcel or where is the pick up point". What kind of tracking is that? First time in my life I see something like this!

Disgusting behaviour!

I have lived long term in 4 different countries over the years, Finlands postal service is the worst i have ever experienced.

Multiple packages lost over the years as soon as they enter Finland, takes a week for a delivery from Helsinki to central Finland, and yet in 24 hrs the same package can travel from Canada to Finalnd!

Pay for express delivery (1-2 days) and it will travel from holland to Finland in less than 24hrs and then 4 days later in moves inside Finland.

And use the tracking system for automated parcel collection, everyday it states it will arrive tomorrow, then it changes the next day and states again tomorrow.
A week can go by like this!

They never deliver to home either, so why am i paying for home delivery and not using my car, and then need to get in my car anyway to go and get the parcel from the post office because they won’t do what we are paying them to do?
I should charge them for doing their job each time!

Despicable behaviour!
