At same date from Germany was dispatched two packages handled by:
1) DHL - handled by Smart Posti
2) Smart Posti itself
Tracking for DHL - Smart Posti wasn't working, but delivery was done in 4 working days, acceptable.
Tracking for Smart Posti own delivery worked, but item showed as arrived in destined city in 2nd day, at moment its loaded in delivery car and 3rd day going around without delivery.. They have marked that they tried delivery once, but road was blocked .. these are lies, firstly road wasn't blocked, secondly no-one called, thirdly they always send message that for today is planned delivery - there wasn't such message. Late delivery isn't so disappointing as false statements.
As I see this, they have afraid of penalties from other companies under which they do deliveries and those deliveries are prioritized.

This company goes above and beyond in its inability to carry out the most basic tasks. 4 times in a single week a heavy parcel has been dropped off at the wrong pick up point, despite me having contacted them twice to explain the error. The pick up point is miles away with no public transport access. Yesterday I contacted them for a second time. I was assured it would arrive at the correct pickup point this time. It didn't. It went to the same (wrong) one again, which essentially means they've picked up and dropped off the same parcel at the same place numerous times. Is this ineptitude? laziness? By this point it seems almost schizophrenic. Item is probably damaged by this point so I'm having to get a taxi at my own cost. Avoid this company at all costs. They're an absolute waste of time.
Fast, tracked, and reliable
Although I haven’t directly contacted this service, several Finnish bookstores have sent parcels to me via Posti. I’ve got everything very quickly and without any problems. It took 7 days to get the parcel from Orimattila, Finland, to Ukraine and 4 days from Helsinki to Warsaw, Poland. The costs were pretty in the same range as for other deliveries from abroad. The tracking service gives extremely detailed information, about any stop and any movement of the parcel. I am happy the online bookstores I order at use this postal service!

Poor Service
Ok. I was very patient, but enough is enough. Let's be clear. POSTI is a company who is profit minded. The concept of public service has disappeared a long time ago. That company has been closing numerous offices to use stores and their employees to do the job that Posti is supposed to do. Consequences? The people working in those stores are not trained and keep making mistakes over mistakes. They do not know how to serve public. Offices are messy and not welcoming. You pay more than you should pay. We see our letters and packages being returned to us because those mistakes made by those untrained employees. On top of that prices are awful!!! Their stupid all digital services is another way to make you work while they keep rising prices. All profit I told you. Today (and it's not the first time!) I see my letter to the US returned because the employee had forgotten to make me filling the green sticker for customs declaration. At the same time what is that country that now requires from you to declare what is in a simple letter!?? I paid for nothing, and my birthday card won't arrive on time!

The package was already in the city to be delivered, but I don't know why Posti returned to the previous city to reclassify the package. The estimated delivery time is a lie, I didn't receive any notification.

Terrible. Worst delivery experience I've had from Finland. Literally takes more than 3 weeks to deliver a package that should take less than a week with other carriers. I still don't have my package at time of writing (over 3 weeks). Don't use or insist on another carrier to deliver your package/s.
Fast and reliable
Been using them for years and they're very efficient and reliable compared to other postal services. Most of my parcels are delivered within 1 or 2 days after landing in Finland, and delivery options can be changed in the app/website, instead of having to call them.
One annoying thing is that the guys delivering parcels don't have the building keys like those delivering letters do, so they need additional instructions like putting door code on the address.
Defund Posti, it's useless
A very important priority signed letter sent from UK took 4 days (including a weekend!) to get to Finland. Then it took the lazy f*cks at Posti 4 days to "sort things", only to send it to the completely wrong pickup point, after which the delivery tracker basically said "oops, wrong place, letter going back to sorting", where it's been stuck at for almost a week!
It's now been almost two weeks (13 days) since the letter left the UK, and it has so far spent 70% (and counting...) of the time in Finland!
Defund Posti and leave it to the private professionals. And put the money in healthcare instead, which is crumbling because Finland pays corrupt executives to steal all the money and pay their employees nothing.
Posti is not what it used to be.
For the past 15 years I have witnessed first hand the steady decline of the Finnish Postal Service, also known as Posti. Once again, a short story of a delayed package which arrived late and completely destroyed.
I ordered 4 small air-tight sealed bags of traditional coffee from another European country and the package arrived torn, someone opened and tried to close it again and 3 of the 4 coffee bags were completely torn open, the content spilled everywhere. This could have even been from the Finnish Customs, looking for drugs or other substances as if 2 people (the sender and the receiver, myself) would put drugs in coffee bags that are sealed at a factory from a company that exists since 1920, then proceed to put our actual addresses and await delivery as if nothing is wrong... Then they put all the opened bags back into a large plastic poly-bag that was clearly used and very dirty.
Opening one package is understandable, enforcement agancies have mandates and a job to do, but destroying 75% of the order is a deliberate action, to what end I dont know.
Shameful and unprofessional behaviour, and of course Posti has no department for complaints or any proper customer service, just an expensive number to call on the weekdays.
Posti, if you read this, the package number is dated 13.6.2025 and the ID is MT730017924FI. I also have photos.

Worst service ever, we should STOP using posti and there are other much much much better options (Matkahuolto, Postnord,...)
Since many days my package is in Transportation from Helsinki to Jyväskylä..... I start wondering if Posti started using Donkeys for delivery to save costs :/
