Someone tried using some of my personal information for a fraudlent credit application. After reporting to crime and fraud prevention agencies I tried to contact the company to inform them and rrquest my details be purged.
Their website is amateur to say the least. They have no email addresses and can only be contacted via post or phone. I'm in the UK, they are in the US and they don't even explain which of their addresses are for what purposes, this can only be determined if you have a card issued by them.
I wish them the best of luck if they ever recieve a GDPR sar or data removal request!

Tried to open acct of camera lens. Not a huge amount. Had to answer questions to someone that I had to call. The asked me about my ex-wife and where she owns property. Someone I haven't been with in over 21 years. Got declined 2 days later because the couldn't confirm my identity. Actually happy not to use them as they seem bootleg as hell!

I was approved for $8000.00 at 11.99%. I have a credit score of 815 and about 25 Cards: AX Centurian, Disc, Visa, MC, Elite World Mastercard (Unlimited - Very Rare), Visa Black (Rarest Card to Get) etc. My Available credit is over $100K and Unlimited. I just wanted to put a cash loan on my credit and a small one it was (8000) - I have over ten times that in my personal checking. When I went to upload my ID they responded back and said they would not be able to help me. "Unfortunately we are not able to offer you a plan because we could not verify your ID. Please see our FAQs for additional information on why this may have occurred." WHAT? I am real, real Federal ID, SC DL (Gold Star), and a USA passport card. I am legit and they said I was not who I said I was - LOL. This is one lowlife chintzy company that was probably opened for someone on their board for a son or daughter to play with. I'm not going to mess with them as they would probably put some bad stuff on your credit report that would be very hard to remove. Also, I have 4 Credit Cards with Comenity Bank, which is the owner of this Bread company. What really bothered me is what if someone who really needs some cash to fix their car went with this company and was turned down because their computer ID Verification program sucked? That probably happens a lot with this company and they are losing a good bit of numbers allowing this to happen. Stay Away !! Want some verification? email me - yalilfatar at gmail dot com

THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE I have EVER had with a financial transaction, truly shameful and they should be EMBARRASSED.
COMENITY bank, who I have 2 credit cards with, should review how they handle this. The representative that I spoke with to "confirm" my identity was not understandable, asking questions with peoples names that she could not pronounce, but I am supposed to decipher what she says, her phone connection made it worse, was a waste of time and I would have missed a sale since it took so long, THERE ARE BETTER OPTIONS, just look around.

They won't let you make a past due payment on line. They make you wait till a certain time/date that they make, then process the auto payment. You can not do it manually.

Was prequalified for $5,900 and was about to make a purchase for $1,400. While completing checkout I was redirected to my email stating that I needed to further secure my identity - ok. I called and did that with a Bread representative then she told me I was going to have to wait around 3 days for my application to be processed. Before I receive an answer about accepting my purchase. I have a credit score of 780 and make six figures, how did this not instantly get approved? Anyways, I cancelled the purchase which is really unfortunate for the company I was going to buy from. Bread financial needs to get it together, another similar company approved me with 0 issues. What a shame.

Whatever you do do not get alone with bread financial. Once you get the loan they will not let you cancel it. I would not recommend getting this loan I would not recommend getting this loan

Although I didn’t like using a code to login every time I made a payment, Bread was great and super easy. I love my 2 separate purchases with them and will make another purchase in the future.

I attempted to use Bread for some new furniture and while the app approves me, it says there's a problem with my payment method, the very same method I use every day for every purchase without issue.

I reach out to customer service and they send a stock email template saying it could be insufficient funds, an expired card, etc., and say to reach out to my credit provider.

Well none of those are the issue, I have funds, it's not expired, you get the idea. Maybe my bank flags them as a scam, I can understand why they might after the next thing happened...

When I attempt to log into my account (because support is useless) and I input the four digit code they text to my phone it says it's the wrong code. This happens repeatedly. I receive it, type it in in 2 seconds and it's wrong?

They obviously do not have their sh..tuff together. Why would I trust them with my personal and banking/card info when I can't even access my account? Seems very untrustworthy to me.

I am very pleased with how simple Bread was able to finance my new Scooter and their communication / emails reminding me of up and coming payments. It was also easy in that I was able to have the payments taken directly out of my account. Easiest financing I have every had. Thank you!

Misrepresents and deceives. I signed up with BREAD to do monthly payments for hearing aids. They approved me and accepted my HSA card. When they went to charge the card, they had programmed their merchant code as a bank instead of a health products division so - rightly - the HSA Bank declined the transaction. They sent me an email blaming me for not having enough money in the HSA account, which was untrue. When I got through to a supervisor she said "that happens a lot" and they don't warn people ahead of time that will can't use the payment form they actually accept. No good people! Beware.

I ordered from Pompeii store and at checkout they had Bread as an option, after filling all information, then you get to another site where you have to upload photos of your ID and after it told me to call the costumer service where she asked couple questions to confirm your identity only to find after that the staff that supposed to review that information is not there till Monday. The bad thing the item I wanted to purchase was on sale and the sale will end in less then 6 hours so it was all for the cat. About four days I got an email stating they could not verify my identity. Im definitely going not to use bread again, this is a Mikey Mouse Operation. I ended up making the purchase with KLARNA
