On arrival at your ORLANDO office via your transportation from MCO pickup bay 11 as advertised we started the procedure to pick up the rental car.l produced the booking from VIPCars Ref G 57661992 which included my details and rental includes the man asked me for my driver's license and bank card which I supplied after some minutes he said his computer would not allow him to go any further as my age was 81 and there maximum age was 75 this information was clearly shown on the rental agreement we continued a somewhat heated discussion but they after more than 1 hour decided to book me with another company and take us back to MCO .I took this up with VIPCars when I returned to the UK they were understanding but when they contacted OTOQ they said that we never arrived at OTOQ desk and were treating it as a no show they are professional liers and shouldn't be in business.
Use this company at your peril you can't believe a word they say Martin Bleackley

If I could give negative stars I would. We’re told we had to put a deposit down that would be refunded after rental return and now crickets. There site is not at the airport as advertised. Took hours to get a shuttle, car and then wait for someone to show up at the office! Total scam trying to act like they have no idea what’s going on.

Rented through OTOQ, listed as “at airport,” but required a shuttle. Upon arrival, they informed me my insurance wasn’t accepted, forcing me to buy theirs for $500, tripling the cost, with no prior notice during booking. My father-in-law’s insurance qualified, so I asked if he could rent instead. They agreed, and I waited while confirming multiple times his insurance was sufficient. Hours later, with my wife and three kids stranded at the airport, he arrived, only to be told his coverage was insufficient. Frustrated, I agreed to pay their insurance, but they then said my reservation had been canceled because over an hour had passed. The agent claimed she was too busy to inform me, despite making eye contact and sitting idle at times. They kept $25 from my original reservation. This company operates on deceitful practices. Avoid at all costs.

We rented an otoq car via VIPCars near the Miami airport for the full month Nov. 2024. MIa rental car co did not accept initially concluded online rental contract with VIPCars, but discarded our contract, and insisted on a new contract. The argument was, that we get only a car based on a local contract, not on a contract as prepared and agreed by the international VIPCar organisation. Due to time constraints we were forced to sign a new contract with prices more than double as high as initially concluded. Furthermore, the new contract included insurance coverage which we did not want as we had our own comprehensive coverage by our credit card. We had to agree to these terms as dictated by the local office manager, as otherwise we would not have obtained the car. It should be noted that in the initial rental agreement with the international organisation we did not buy any coverage due to our own creditcard insurance.
When we were at the local sales office, no information was given regarding any car availability . We were pressed into a tiny intermediate Toyota Corolla car whereas the rental car as booked with the int. organisation was a Standard limousine Hyundai Sonata.
VIPCars was up to now no help in supporting our contract with them. (See also my more extended review in the german language)

Rented a car from them at Orlando Airport via Priceline. Paid in full. Van dropped me off to a site miles from the airport and left. When I tried to get my car they said I had to pay for SLI (Supplementary Liability Insurance). I showed them my proof that I had SLI both via my own auto insurance and the VISA card I rented with. They said I either had to pay them extra for something I absolutely did not need or walk back to the airport. This was extortion plain and simple. Don't even THINK of renting from them.
Sorry that I even have to add one star for this review to post. They should not be in business.

BE CAREFUL!!! Worst Rental Car service ever. They made our thanksgiving misserable. I’ve been renting cars for decades and never had this kind of rental place ever. Not recommended at all. Please be aware of it. First of all on Priceline it says it’s at the airport. Then you found out it’s not there. Took us about 1.5 hours to get there. 2 other customers in front of us reservations were cancelled even though they paid and reserved the car. They put a guy in one of the little office don’t even know what he is talking about. Barely speak English. He is trying to upsell you tolls insurance etc. With his broken English. I told them that I have my own insurance but he still tried to charge me $49 /day for insurance. I had to end up canceling the reservation and took uber. It’s thanksgiving with 3 kids on Uber right now on a thanksgiving day. Waste of time and money. BE CAREFUL!!! Tampa “Airport” location MIAMI

Zero stars! This company is a complete scam. First of all you need to take a shuttle 20 minutes out of the way to get to the lot. Upon arrival, three other families were leaving the shuttle we were dropped off in. They warned us about this company and how it is a complete scam. The driver graciously let us out the door and went to open the door for the rental company. Well, it was LOCKED at 9:03. The other couples saw the workers leaving the facility out the back door leaving us without a rental. Fortunately the shuttle driver was willing to drive us back to the airport where I promptly rented a great vehicle at a fair price from Dollar. Stay away from this disgraceful business!!

I recently rented a car here, and while the vehicle itself was spacious and in good condition, the service was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival, I had to wait over an hour for a pickup, and when I called for assistance, the person on the phone was located in a different city and came across as slightly rude. Once I finally arrived at the rental location, there was no one at the desk. The driver who brought me there contacted the front desk representative, who said they had to leave due to an emergency and instructed us to wait.
After waiting another hour, the driver simply left, leaving us alone in an unsecured office with piles of car keys visibly lying at the front desk. This lack of security made me uncomfortable, as it seemed anyone could have walked in, taken keys, and driven off with a vehicle.
When the representative finally arrived, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the long wait. To make matters worse, I was hit with unexpected charges that significantly raised the cost of the rental, making it more expensive than a typical car rental service. Overall, while the car was nice, the disorganized and unprofessional service made this experience incredibly frustrating and concerning. I would not recommend renting here.

I used otoQ Chania station (airport). I had a great experience. They were very helpful, polite, transparent and professional. They contacted me a day before my trip to make sure that I have all the information I need about my booking with them and they also picked me up from the airport and dropped me off on my way back. I will definitely use their services again in the future

ZERO STARS. I went to Orlando with my family and we made the bad decision of renting a car with OTOQ Car Rental, the service was terrible, they charged for a lot of extra things that in the reservation were promoted as FREE, the car they gave us was damage. It had an alarm that kept ringing, the doors didn't close, it had broken cables that came out in different places. Likewise, they made a discount on the card saying that it was a security deposit for 500 dollars which was never returned. When I tried to contact the company, the person who answered informed me that his name was "Hugo Chaves" and he could not provide a solution. DO NOT RENT A CAR WITH THEM, THEY ARE GOING TO STEAL YOUR MONEY.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent rental car booking through Priceline (Priceline Trip Number: 663-307-005-17). I booked a compact SUV from OtoQ for the period of November 1st to November 9th, 2023, with a total cost of $181.14, which included all taxes. I was under the impression that the only additional fee would be a refundable deposit.
Upon arriving at the Tampa airport and reaching the OtoQ office, I was presented with an additional charge of $398.47, bringing the total cost to $579.61. This was a significant increase from the original agreed-upon price. When I questioned the charges, I was informed that they were mandatory and non-negotiable.
Furthermore, I was pressured into paying an additional $19.50 per day for toll charges. I explained that there is only one toll on the Skyway Bridge and it costs only $2. However, I was falsely informed that the toll gates had been removed and that I would be subject to a hefty fine if I didn't pay the additional fee. This turned out to be untrue, as I passed through the same toll gate and paid the standard fee.
I attempted to seek assistance through Priceline's chat support, but unfortunately, no resolution was provided at that time. As a result of this unexpected and frustrating situation, I was forced to take an Uber to my hotel.
The following day, I booked a rental car from Budget for the same duration at a much more reasonable rate of $307. This is a typical price for a rental car in Florida.
I contacted Priceline and complained with photos of the additional charge contract which they showed me. Priceline immediately processed the refund. However It was really frustrating as It wasted my time and I ended up paying extras for my Uber rides and lost the benefit of reduced rates as the budget booking was done last minute.
***Update: There are three lies in your reply and all three can be verified***
1. My Driving license is in English. How did you get into such a conclusion? If required, I had uploaded my passport and license copy in your website as part of pre check in. You can verify it from there. Alternatively, I can send a copy of my license again if required.
2. I had sufficient balance on my card (more than 8000 USD). The deposit is only 1000 USD. I need to know from where did they create this statement "this was not possible due to the absence of a sufficient balance to cover the deposit.". Was the transaction declined? If it is declined, they should have the declined receipt, please show it as a proof. Btw, I can share my Credit card statement if required. Also please note, I booked and paid for Budget car rental using the same card and the same card was used for my purchases in US during my stay.
3. Counter staff didn't offer any alternative. It was just "Sign it or Leave it". There was CCTV in the counter. Please get the recording and verify these false claims.

Orlando Branch lied and added on liability insurance even though it was not required (and challenged at purchase)
I have contacted o to q directly only to be ignored and refused a refund "as a contract was signed" based on false information given at the time and pressure put on me whilst travelling alone with 2 children. Very unprofessional and i will never use or refer this company to anyone in future,

Great experience! Mike was most gracious and professional, getting us a practically new MG suv, clean and ready.
Great communication and rental cost as well.

We tried to rent a car through DiscoverCars.com and selected otoQ. We fully pre-paid, got to the pick-up, and they pulled out the old bait-and-switch. Tried to charge us another $250 for liability, which we've never had to pay for before, and wasn't disclosed beforehand. My husband took a picture of the rental agreement the guy gave us, and he was NOT happy about that. So we walked out. They may well be ok in other countries, but in Tampa, Florida, they are not. Beware!

Perfect car rental experience in Crete!
Mike had everything prepped and ready to go, making the whole process incredibly smooth and hassle-free. The handover was punctual, and everything worked exactly as promised - no hidden fees or unexpected issues.
I particularly appreciated how straightforward and easy the entire rental process was. The car was in great condition, and the service was excellent from start to finish.
Highly recommended - this will definitely be my go-to rental company for future trips to Crete. Mike and the Otoq team know how to run a professional car rental service!

Little to no existent customer service.
Try to contact multiple times their customer services to ask them clear price of their full insurance. They never provided me with the figures.
I still don't know if they can't understand what I asked or they pretend to not understand.

I booked a rental online, and when I arrived, they insisted that I buy their insurance, even though I have premium coverage with State Farm that fully protects rentals. For context, I drive a McLaren 720S under this insurance, so being pressured to pay extra for a mediocre Mercedes was ridiculous.
On top of that, they tried to push toll passes, claiming they'd charge $20 every time I used a tollway on top of the actual toll fees. This is a blatant scam. Save yourself the headache and rent from a reputable company instead.
