Ordered some medication online only to receive an email later the same day to tell me that they did not have any stock due to an ongoing issue. If the product was not available why was it for sale online and why was the order approved! They took my money straight away but now I have to wait 2-3 days for a refund! Awful service!

Very disappointed with how a faulty medication pen has been handled
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Superdrug Online Doctor.
I received a Mounjaro KwikPen which I believe is faulty. The plunger has no tension and, when I attempted to administer my dose, medication leaked out. This left me unable to determine how much of my prescribed dose had actually been administered.
Considering how expensive this medication is, I expected my report of a suspected faulty pen to be taken seriously. Instead, I received general information about how to use and troubleshoot the pen, which did not address the specific mechanical problem I was reporting.
I have now had to formally escalate the matter and request a refund. I have been advised that I can return the pen by post, which is important to me because I have mobility difficulties.
My main concern is not simply that a product developed a fault — faults can happen. It is how my concern has been handled afterwards. When a customer reports a problem involving an expensive prescription medication and cannot even establish how much of their dose they received, I would expect the issue to be investigated promptly and individually rather than answered with generic guidance.
I am currently awaiting the outcome of my formal complaint and refund request, and I will update this review to reflect how Superdrug resolves the matter.
