Oaklandfurniture 

This sector unfortunately has many companies with very similar names. I ordered some furniture online through a site labelled 'Oakland Furniture' - all except one item was delivered on 14th October. I discovered that the legal entity behind the order. site is 'Forest Tec' who only seem to have a single employee. Despite chasing seven times, I only got two replies - "first 2021 delivery to Portugal will be February 7" on January 17th and "will look into this" on February 11th. Only remaining option must be legal action.

My husband & I visited a store in Horwich Bolton very recently and were served by a member of staff named David Fisher. We were looking for a dining table & chairs plus 2 other items. On our first visit we had made a decision and he completed paperwork but we wanted to check out something at home. We changed our mind and went back the next day. David was very patient, and extremely helpful, and repositioned numerous styles of chairs and colours from various parts of the store to assist our decision. He redid all the paperwork and we left as two very satisfied customers, as my husband and I had wanted different chairs and with David’s assistance we were able to compromise. Couldn’t fault the customer service he provided. We are just hoping when our furniture arrives in the summer, we will feel equally satisfied. We would recommend Oakland Furniture as a result of our experience.

My husband and myself went into Thurrock store yesterday evening.
We were greeted by Jason Waller who was very helpful to us.
Throughout our browsing Jason answered all questions knowledgeably yet never was too over powering and pushy .

Had some Bedroom furniture delivered on 2nd April, 2 of the items were damaged, they offered a small compensation to keep the goods but you dont pay nearly 2000 pounds to have to put Tippex or white paint on new furniture.
Have sent several mails since asking for resolution of the matter as bedroom has been out of use since 2nd April --- as of today no reply
I normally judge a company or person by how they deal with problems, hence the 2 star review at present

Awful service , will replace but expect to wait another 3 weeks before you get your goods.offered a miserly compensation, can never speak to anyone as the ones that make the decisions hide behind other people.
All in all would of been 4 weeks without a bed and furniture, so in the end you have no choice to accept the compensation to avoid all the inconvenience of boxing it all up again and waiting 3 weeks to replace

Just had my delivery of my sofas can't review the sofas yet but the delivery men Tim and Jay were perfect fast and efficient no problem at all and very polite I would rate them 10 stars if I could big thank you to them both

Update review. After having made a previous review of product, which I had a problem with,I can say this company contacted me and were very helpful to solve the problem which I was happy with.

There service goes from bad to worse. From a website that promises 14 day delivery to an actual service that is 19 weeks delivery time (due 2nd June 2021) I’ve now been contacted multiple times (due to my poor review here) saying my order is now ready for delivery but every time I’ve contacted them it’s still due 2nd June 2021. Very disappointing I won’t be using them again.

Great experience, beautiful furniture, delivered on time, great price

Our son took delivery of a chest of draws today which had already been delayed beyond the original delivery date. My husband witnessed what can only be described as an absolute shocking experience. When the item was unpacked from the box it was a total shambles, all broken to bits, quite incredible, never seen anything like it. Had to wait over an hour on the phone to be told that a replacement would be sent on 12.4 unbelievable! Offered £75 compensation which given our son had to take a day off work & my husband will have to make a round trip of 40 miles to be at the property when they collect it is an absolute insult. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY ABSOLUTE DISGRACE

Recently we have ordered several items for our living room and hallway as we moved into a new home.

As part of it, visited Oak Furniture Land Watford store couple of times. It was great experience. Both times, salesperson Michael attended us. He explained the product rages, ordering process and how to look after oak furniture, etc. Good man!

I am so glad I went to that store; whole experience was great. Our order is due to be delivered in 3rd week of January. I hope the experience of the delivery will also be as pleasant. We have plans to order several more items for our upstairs and bedrooms; for that we will certainly be visiting that store again. Thank you.

Awful company! Ordered furniture back in October 2020 due to be delivered 11th December, had an email on the 10th of December to say contact them. Contacted them to find out my order won’t be here until January 2021. Last minute cancellation! Booked day off work! Never ever buy again from this unreliable company. I’d have given no stars in that was an option.

Ordered and paid for our new furrniture in July this year for delivery last week in September.
Phoned today just to check all was ok. The salesman laughed and said all will be OK unless you've had an email.
He then checks and the date is now October 19!
No previous call or nothing to in form us of the delay.

The salesman tells us to ring customer service 19th in the queue , over an hour on hold.
TOLD NEW DATE IS NOW 29 October.

Told them to cancel the order. The lady then says we have other ranges available if we want to change our mind. She was very understanding.

Totally useless customer service on the part of the store.

Don't bother going there if you want quality customer service with a guaranteed delivery date.

Refund processed today again by a nice lady who offered £400 off our original order if we didn't cancel.

Got a text message last night. 24 hours before the original delivery date say delivery delayed.

I realise there are problems due to cover 19, but why couldn't they have kept us informed.

Put a review on about oakland furniture that I was unhappy with the way I was treated over our insurance policy with our table and chairs, after a phone call from the company and discussing my query they were very understanding with my issue and have rectified all misunderstanding that took place and I am very pleased to say they were very helpful and has now resolved my issue in a very professional way so thank you will definitely buy from this company again

Purchased dining table and 6 chairs 13 months ago ,only ever used 4 until last week when we needed to bring the other 2 down ,my mother in law who weights about 8 stones sat on one of the chairs for the first time and the leg cracked just above the seat , we went on line and followed the guide sending pictures and after 3 days got a reply of out of warranty can’t help ,so I went on line looked up reviews and knew I was wasting my time ,but ever hopeful I rang them up and they asked if I had waxed them as instructed which we had done she said I’ll speak to my manager after a few minutes she came back said it was accidental damage can’t help amazing how they can work that out from a picture and dismiss straight away ,to be honest I wasn’t surprised by the response after reading reviews they didn’t disappoint all I’ll say is they are not as solid oak as they claim and they will not be getting our bedroom furniture order now or any order ever well done Oakland furniture Hope in these hard times when your struggling for business you’ll look at your reviews and see why

I ordered a book shelve from Oakland Furniture Land back in May and was told that due to COVID i would have to wait until August for delivery (i had to pay upfront) fair enough i understand. The furniture was due to be delivered next week, just had an email saying that it will not be delivered until November!! so over 6 months wait!! Unfortunately im not prepared to wait another 3 months and would like a refund. However surprise surprise their not picking up their phone. Oakland Furniture Land this is appalling customer service could arrange for my order to be cancelled and a full refund provided as i was not informed it could take up to 6 months to fulfill orders.

We received a sideboard from Oakland. Needed to fix center leg. The company refunded $60.00 to us for taking care of the issue. We would order from them again. Sideboard is beautiful

We purchased a king size corsham pillow top mattress for £649. Product description was good stated no roll together and very comfortable. We’ve had now for 4 weeks and have not had a good night sleep yet . Constantly roll together , feel every movement from your partner extremely soft so the heavier parts of your body sink into it which has caused us both to wake with pins and needles!!
We have tried to contact them to discuss an exchange however very unhelpful . Sadly we have had to purchase another mattress from elsewhere which I can not wait until it arrives Then have the problem of what to do with this nearly new unwanted uncomfortable mattress !! Do not buy this product if you want to sleep well !! A very unhappy customer 😠😠

full delivery right to your doorstep, even told this applies for flats, i said i lived in top floor penthouses 4 floors and the lift was broken she said "yeh yeh yeh thats definitely fine sign here".....ME"are you sure" "yes yes", when it was delivered they got to front of the flat and said there you go i said right its on the top floor its the penthouse they asked if i had a lift i said yes but broke, so they said ooh well this is technically your door step here.... after 5 mins arguing and coming to realise a 100kg sofa 50kg chair, table, cabinet ect could be left outside i had to change my approach so i bribed them 50 quid each while they lifted the stuff up i contacted the store which said sales women was busy she will phone you back, she dodged me till i gave up after a week, pathetic, i will be poping in the store soon and hope to see the sales women face to face.
