I broke one of the securing lugs on the flap which covers the twin SD card slots on my Nikon D780 DSLR. I immediately started to search online for a replacement and sent a request to Nikon Parts UK for a price and availability. I also phoned around dealers nationwide. There were plenty available from China on eBay and other places, with prices ranging from £34 upwards but, no way of telling if they were OE or pattern parts. The following day I received a quote to supply the parts from Nikon which came in at £21.94 including springs and P&P. Needless to say, I placed my order. A few days later I received an email notifying me that there was a delay for one of the springs. I emailed back to say I only really needed the cover and nothing else. The following day I received a call from a lady at Nikon who wanted to check that the springs weren't required and that there was no other damage to the camera body before the cover was shipped. That was yesterday and at 11:00am this morning UPS delivered the cover which I fitted within the hour and my camera is fully useable again. It just goes to show that you should check the manufacturer before deciding to purchase parts from other sources. I cannot fault any aspect of Nikon UK's service. Thank you very much indeed.

They were honest and clear from the start about the repair as the camera is old , all information was clear, it was also quick. A company that can be trusted

My Nikon 1 lens was part of a product recall - only issue was that no one told me and I am now told that it is out of the recall period. Left with a paperweight with no attempt by Nikon to resolve the issue despite them knowingly selling the product with a dodgy lens. Should avoid at all costs.
p.s. customer services contacted me and the resolution was for me to buy a spare lens they had in stock but that wouldn't come with a warranty. You couldn't make it up!

Nikon made the whole journey for returning my camera, getting it analysed and sending it back so easy. It was a real breath of fresh air. I received constant updates, and was surprised and delighted by the fact that the work came in way under the quote that was originally suggested it might cost. Sending the camera back free of charge was a nice touch and I will never go anywhere else to buy camera equipment from now on. Excellent customer service on every level.

I have had my nikon z6ii for just over a year so decided to get Nikon to give it the once over .
I sent the camera to nikon uk on 6th september 2024 opting for the premium maintenance package £119,which stated 5-6 working days from receipt of camera
They acknowledged receipt on the 9th .The tracking page on the site was then not updated until several weeks later , with "with technician"
I made a telephone call to Nikon who stated that they were waiting for spare parts , but the person didnt know what the spare parts did .Despite being in the technical department.
I heard no more until i made another query on the 30th september , and was told that it was now done and would be returned shortly. No mention of works carried out or what the spare parts were .
The camera arrived a couple of days later 3rd october and was well packaged , the receipt simply shows a list of things they say they did , other than the hdmi/usb cover now fitting ,the camera seems no different to when i sent it . The lack of communication ,time taken and knowledge or rather lack of seems dismal for a such a high branded company

Nikon support services are committed to looking after there customers. They are the only people I would trust my cameras and equipment with.
The technical support they offer is second to none.

Nikon received my D700 on the 13th of August. Today on the 1st of October my camera was delivered back to me. It arrived in clean condition, nicely wrapped in a soft Nikon branded origami-type cloth. The support agents I spoke to were kind and helpful. Nikon repaired my camera free of charge, offered me 30 per cent off new stock, and also offered a Nikon D780 as a loan

As an Irish customer I was directed to Nikon UK to buy a new focus screen for my camera. My experience with customer service (or lack of) is enough to make me avoid buying anything Nikon ever again. What should be a simple interaction has turned into an absolute nightmare. I am over 2 months emailing back and forth to Nikon trying to get the part despite being told early on they could supply it and having paid for it. I started out dealing with Holly who in the end stopped responding. When I emailed again I spoke to Chris who assured me the part was “being processed as we speak”. Another week goes by and still no part, on emailing again Chris then tells me the order time expired as 30 days had passed (their fault) and I would have to pay again. Im not sure if they thought I would just guess this information as nobody communicated it to me just left me sitting waiting on a part that was never sent. I was then directed to pay again through the website which is so bad I had to ask for a screen shot to be sent of my estimate the first time as an error kept occurring while trying to view it or option 2, call a customer support number that doesn't work for Irish customers. I have a lot of money invested in Nikon gear so for the moment I am stuck with them but I would urge anyone starting out or any Irish customers to go with a different brand as at least you might have some hope of support if anything goes wrong.

I recently sent my Nikon D500 in for repair as it had developed a fault with the shutter mechanism fault , having something across the view finder in all the images i was taking.
I rang Nikon .co.uk in first instance a lovely lady insured me that it was something Nikon UK could fix for me but may take a few weeks to be done.
She gave me a link to there website where i i filled a few details in serial number and a brief description of the fault very easy to do, and an address where to parcel it up , and and a address near to me where it could be courier collected.
What's great about their service is you get continuous emails letting you know how its being dealt with , and a web site that you can actually track the service on timing and when the courier will be delivering your camara to your door.
In all fairness mine took a bit longer for repair and took around 6 weeks as parts had to be ordered for for job to be completed . but i was being emailed to let me know to that effect.
There where a number of components changed , the fault rectified , and with a full service and comes with full 6 month warranty .
and only paid £160 .00 from start to finish , i thought that was extremally good value for money.
Thank you Nikon UK

My Nikon binoculars needed repair. After sending them to Nikon I was impressed with their good communication throughout the process and the quality of the repair result. The binoculars were returned clean and well presented.

Great service at reasonable price for a lens repair.
From the initial assessment, to receipt of the repaired lens, the Nikon team kept me informed of progress.
Easy service to use from Nikon issuing the couriers label, to signing for delivery when it came back.
I would recommend this service and will use it again should i need a repair.

After several years of good service, I thought my camera and two lenses needed good service and check-over so I went through the Nikon website to get it done. The uploading of the details and paying a reasonable deposit was very straightforward and the courier collection was arranged. I had several emails sorting out the details of the collection from George who was amazingly helpful and, more importantly, seemed to take a personal interest in this customer.
Dispatching several thousand pounds worth of camera equipment to couriers, etc. was a little stressful but it all went very smoothly with regular updates.
Nikon’s progress website did not always work for me but an email to their support desk resulted in a phone call giving me the update I needed.
The estimate was clear (and less than I was expecting!) and, as I was unable to access their website to ask them to go ahead, I emailed them and, again, they were efficient, personable and helpful.
The progress website was, when I could access it, clear with the whole process visible.
My camera arrived back safely and the packaging was first-rate, I think they could have dropped it from an aeroplane without it coming to harm.
Of all the companies I have dealt with, Nikon is, without doubt, the best for communicating with the customer, keeping the customer up-to-date and for their customer service personnel’s attitude.
I cannot recommend Nikon highly enough and would not hesitate to use them again.

I must say that I have been very impressed with Nikon. The speed at which the (Very reasonable) estimate arrived and then the quality of the final job.
As for the bomb proof packing I can say no more!

Placed an order but still no shipping details 48 hours later. Phoned customer service who promised an email but hours later, no response. Unclear whether my order will arrive by Thursday and if not, it will have to be returned as required for an event.

Nikon Optical do not deserve even 1 star. My Nikon lenses did not last the warranty period - less than 2 years. Nikon flatly refused to replace them and blamed the fault on me. I’ve worn other varifocal lenses for over 20 years and have never had a problem. These were the first Nikon lenses that I bought. My optician has stopped selling them which confirms my review.
In response to your reply - my optician has gone through the official process. I have even written to you. You refused to replace the lenses. You said that my varifocal reactolite spectacles had been worn in the sun. I was not aware that they could not be worn in the sun. What is the purpose of having reactolite lenses when they can’t be worn in the sun?

I can't praise Nikon UK highly enough. My 8 year old, out-of-warranty DSLR was having some intermittent shutter issues. When I investigated it, it turned out there was an active service advisory (from 2016!) and my camera had never had the work done. I assumed that I'd missed the boat on that recall notice as it was so long ago.
When I called them they suggested I send the camera in and they performed the recall work (and a complimentary service) at no cost to me. I can't think of another manufacturer that supports their products so well and for so long.
I just got my DSLR back and it's like new.

W300 the most expensive disposable camera you'll ever buy.
After 30 years of being a Nikon customer I will now no longer purchase another Nikon product, nor will I ever recommend them.
The product is clearly flawed as I've had the same issues now with two cameras, other customers have reported similar issues online and the camera has actually been discontinued.
Nikon's inability to accept liability for issues with their product is disgusting. The fact they try to pass blame onto their customers is insulting and unprofessional. I cannot believe they find it acceptable that customers are spending £350 on a single use camera.
I will NEVER recommend them again. Avoid!
UPDATE: this isn't within the warranty period, hence the issue with your customer service. The under water feature was used once. The camera is NOT waterproof. It's the second W300 camera you've given me as the first did exactly the same thing! It's been falsely advertised as being waterproof. As someone who's experienced at using a variety of underwater cameras I know this isn't user error, as implied by your rude staff. There are other online reviews who have experienced the same issue as me and been fobbed off by your customer service in exactly the same way even though the camera has been discontinued, so there's clearly an issue with it! DISGUSTING!!!!!
