Disappointed with the sheer volume of people versus the space on the ship. Whil I can't praise the ground staff enough I feel MSC have a lot to improve on when it comes to entertainment quality in particular and maybe consider lowering overall numbers on board as I found the sea days unbearable onboard due to volume of people.
My cabin assistant was fantastic.
Restaurant staff fantastic
Bar staff not so much
First time cruiser and after this unfortunately probably my last, after this experience.

I found the ship, facilities, staff, rooms all lovely. We booked the ship for the destinations it visited and they were great. in had read reviews of the ship and was a bit put off but everything was lovely.
There could have been signs up at bars and buffets about what's included in each drinks package, people were very confused and kept asking staff.
The food buffet was lovely on deck 11 but seemed to be the same food for lunch and then dinner and very little variation in the menu each day. but the food was hot, there was a pizza bar and hamburger bar outside the buffet and you could sit where ever you wanted and bring food between all the seating areas on deck 11. Only the hamburger bar had chips, none in the main buffet. At the back of the man buffet where the desserts were is another litrle bar which serves alcohol and soft drinks. Also some times someone goes around the main buffet with a card of drinks to make it handier.
The rooms were as in any other ship, although the shower was very small and the shower curtain very short, but had plenty of space for luggage and accessoriessohad the safe and 2 seats. The TV had mostly MSC channels and only 3 English speaking channels and they were all news.
The announcements were in different languages but not very often so you don't notice, and they aren't heard in the bedrooms.
The only thing I would warn people, especially older people is that on embankment day there is a lot of queuing, firstly at the airport, you have to go to the MSC desk to book in to get a bus to the port, so first there was a long line to get a coloured sticker from the desk, this is so you can que again to get on a bus. Then when the bus gets to the port there is very long lines to que to register with MSC, then when you have this done you need to go throught security, and then down stairs to wait on the ferry to the ship, again more queing and waiting. After a very early start foe most people to get to airport, and fly to Venice these long ques are very tiring, especially to anyone who mightnt be very sure in their feet. Also you have to drag thw luggage with you all the way, even when the bus gets to the port you again have to get your own luggage off the bus and into the port. Other cruize lines do it different.
There were plenty of sun loungers for everyone, some were a bit broken and the sun shade part didn't stay up, but there was plenty. There's also lovely chairs at the end of each deck, out at the back of the ship and these were lovely and mostly in the shade and gave a great view when you were leaving the ports, especially Kotor, as leaving the port to get out to sea took over an hour and it had spectacular views the whole journey, well work the sit.

Never again the staff were rude two grown people tried to steal my 10 year old daughter’s gaming pass and vouchers out of her hand when my son tried to protect her the man grabbed him by the arm and tried to stop the kids from Leaving. all the staff did was take a statement the people were allowed to stay onboard my kids spent the rest of the cruise scared they would see these people again and nightmares every night.

Overall, we enjoyed our MSC cruise and had many positive experiences as a family of four. Mykonos was a particular highlight, with its beautiful scenery, charming streets and relaxed atmosphere.
There were some areas that could have been improved. Our cabin felt very small for two adults and two teenagers, particularly when the sofa bed was open, as it took up nearly all the available space. We also found the onboard shops expensive and did not feel they offered good value for money, so we purchased most of what we needed during the port stops. Naples was our least enjoyable stop, as the walk from the port into the city felt dirty and unpleasant. However Naples is a lovely city to walk around.
The outstanding part of our cruise was the exceptional service we received from Vincent and Jess in the Black Crab Restaurant. They were consistently friendly, professional, attentive and helpful. It was also my birthday while onboard, and they went out of their way to make it a very special and memorable occasion.
Vincent and Jess and all the staff are a real credit to MSC Cruises, and I hope their excellent service and dedication are recognised by management.
