Collect and Sell PII.

Microsoft is too busy trying to steal your information to sell to realize that other things, that SHOULDN'T bee a problem are devastating the experience. Like forced notifications that won't go away, or Genuine pop up ads from Windows essentially telling me to give them access to said information.

Have a problem with windows, reinstall windows. Windows has a problem with you? They need your social, mothers maiden name, access to your email, access to your logs and records. Basically "Give us everything so we can sell it."

Maybe stop being predatory, and people will like you more. That's really all any customer asks these days. Just don't be predatory.

It's like a scam it forces you to…

It's like a scam it forces you to register for a 5.99 monthly fee, then you can't stop them billing you. I've had to block all my bank accounts, then they say I can't cancel without paying them. we can't contact them because they only have help bots, and the website is horrendous with circular routed screens bringing you back to the beginning. I'm steering clear of anything Microsoft for life.

windows 10 update oct 2020

windows 10 update oct 2020
Probably the best advertisement for buying Apple. Everytime Microsoft update this idiotic software, something gets messed up, but this latest update is the ABSOLUTE PITS!!! So many problems on my PC now, and not being a computer minded person - I am stuck with them. Dear Microsoft -please test your updates before you force them on us - the poor long suffering users of this pile of cack - or just leave it alone! - it will never work properly, OR give us the option not to receive your "improvements?"

I purchased Windows 10 and Microsoft…

I purchased Windows 10 and Microsoft office 365 in August to update my Dell Inspiron Laptop. On installing the Windows 10 and Microsoft 365, the Laptop crashed.
I traded in the Laptop at Currys PC world, Uk and got a new Dell Inspiron and thought all problems solved.
To my horror I realised on 29th September that the email account I used to purchase windows 10 got hacked (I think someone from Microsoft itself) and created a fake outllook account and through that hacked all my outlook and yahoo and linkedin accounts. They are sending emails to all my contacts world over, asking for money.
Since September 29th, I am talking and mailing to Microsoft customer support, including their data protection officer. But they have no idea on how to support or deactivate a fake outlook account!!!!
They are all just diverting and closing the query!
When Bill Gates is travelling world over and teaching everyone what to do, I was appalled to see the employees of his company Microsoft has no idea on how to support their distressed customer or safeguard their customer's data. No empathy to Microsoft customers at all! SAD.......

I purchased a Surface Keyboard

I purchased a Surface Keyboard, and I regret it. After a few months, this Keyboard looks terrible. I did clean it a lot, but still, this kind of texture gets not clean, no matter what you do and how often! All the sweat sticks to the keyboard, and now i don't even use this keyboard in public anymore as i am to embarrassed to show it in public. Waste of money! I dont belive this issue happens accidentally but i believe they made it on purpose to purchase multiple keyboards. (This is just my personal opinion!)

Pride Comes Before A Fall

Update

LONG SAGA theme-tune, as the credits roll out...

Windows 11: greater internet interactivity directly from the desktop - without use of browser. The leader, now, in terms of how interfaces should be designed in terms of a look to the future. Limited still, in its advancements, as a jump forward.

There are reconnection issues, whereby if one disconnects whilst the computer is turned on, one has to restart the machine in order to get back online.

There is a lack of automatic start-up security features, while the ones which come packaged in the settings are problematic in their preset configurations - driver incompatibility, for one thing.

So, Windows 11 is ahead of the game when it comes to interactive elements (stable desktop architecture, permitting) and (increased) security.

Downside: computer integration issues.

Old Review

Popular idioms (though based on actuality) aside for one moment and get to the basics:

The three stars represent Microsoft's role in history - that cannot be denied - in having contributed as a key component to the development and production of computer-technology for businesses and home-users, such as myself, the world over:

The Windows XP look and feel, in hindsight, has a special something.

Windows 7 was impressively stable and for many, the system of choice - updates lasted a bit longer, although some caused Internet Explorer issues.

Windows 10 was fun and a look to the future - Microsoft making the update to the operating system available as free for a limited time only, despite advertising for Windows 10 having being forced through via automatic updates to whatever Microsoft systems were running, bad business further exposed by the eventual retraction of the offer. If one has a Windows 7 serial number then that can be used to gain a full download of the Windows 10 ISO from the Microsoft website; only, for those whose serial numbers have worn away or are lost, the opportunity to run the full program is not available - the capped functionality (personal customisation features) is not made immediately obvious to those downloading the Windows 10 ISO, so one loads it up, only to find that it doesn't show as fully-activated.

One star lost due to Microsoft's tendency to involve itself in controversial matters, founder and company too notoriously linked for political intervention.

Another star lost for the company's treatment of customers:

As the timeline of LoveFilm came to nothing, evidently thanks to Amazon's monopolising market-strategy, so the same could be said for Nokia - a small fish to the Blue Whale that is Microsoft.

So it is that many customers were left swimming around with Windows-Nokia phones which had unsupported firmware (the Nokia Lumia, for example), certain lines designed in such a way, one cannot easily change the operating systems. The windows 10 Phone software allowed for access to the Microsoft Store in the providing of applications which oftentimes were limited in standard, and many of the default apps that came with the phone itself non-working. The level of manufacturing, overall, not masked by the interactive user-ability and possibilities available for external customisation, was poor, with the phones lacking the robustness of other brands.

Whilst the future of computer-technology will probably look to apps as the way forward, apps are apps, no matter in what form they come and so therefore the 'tiling' look and the potential for interactive possibilities for smartphones was not pursued as far as it could have been. However, as for home-computing, overall, having used Windows 10 both on a personal computer and on public ones, in the state that it is, as a system compared to other global concerns, have found it to be slow and lumbering, completely lacking in performance, with its filing system anything but intuitive and somewhat archaic. Nice touches with the automatic changing of colour-scheme for taskbar and system-appearance, yet that is it.

The development of a further desktop OS, 'Pride', to the neglect of previous operating systems (inclusive of the abandonment of phone-technology) was an unethical decision due to both its lack of the objective principle and in its denial of computer services being providers for modern-day public services - companies, organisations and even banks all but enforce customers to use online methods of communication-transfer - underlining Microsoft's abandonment of customers as tantamount to the refusal of basic necessities, those of which Microsoft customers have the implicit right to obtain.

My conclusion drawn, Mac and Linux are dimensions ahead of Microsoft in home-computing terms, Windows 10 being nice in places, yet still old-hat, the company itself leaving something to be desired.

I purchased a surface laptop 3 business…

I purchased a surface laptop 3 business version on June 11, after two weeks I found out that there are some problems with my laptop, so I contact the customer service to do the replacement. Because I bought a business version, so I can see the web shows that business version has the Advanced Exchange, which means Microsoft will ship me a new one and after I receive the new one, I can ship the old one back. But I contacted the customer service several times, they told me they don’t have this service, so I was wondering why Microsoft put this in the web?
So I decided to ship the old device back, I drop off the package at local UPS store on June 30. After a week past, there is no any updates for the tracking information, I noticed that UPS maybe lost my package. I contacted Microsoft on July 9 to tell them UPS lost my package, I want them to contact UPS to find the package or pay the refund for me. The customer service told me they are going to working on this case and it will take up to 10 business days, that is the first time I contact Microsoft about my refund.
On July 20 I called customer service again to see if there is any updates about my case, they told me I have to wait another 5 to 7 business days, so I wait again, this is the second time I called them.
On July 27, I called customer service again, that’s the most angry day I have ever had. I called 5 times on July 27, the first guy told me he will put me on a hold, and he is going to check that for me, after half hours past, he hang up my phone. The second guy do the same thing except he didn’t put me on a hold, he just mute me, and after 1 hour past, I try to talk to him so many times, there is no any feedback, so I bang up the phone. The fourth girl helped me, but she told me the upper department don’t even know this thing, there is no any tip or updates for my case, my case is even closed already!!!!! I was so angry about that, so she helped me to create a new case and she told me to wait 5 to 7 business days, this is the third time I contact customer service.
And today which is August 3, it’s already one month past since the first time I contact Microsoft. I called the customer service today, they still told me there is no any updates for my case. I’m crazy now, I spend $1700 on my laptop, but now UPS lost the package, Microsoft don’t hep me, what should I do now???????
I’m still comtact Microsoft customer service every coupe days, and those are timeline about the contacting:
August 10:
Thet told me to wait 10 Business days from August 7th

August 12:
They told me to wait 10 Business days from August 4th
By August 17th

August 15:
They told me to wait 5 to 7 business days from August 13th

August 18:
They told me by the end of this week I can get refund.

August 21:
They told me up to 10 business days from 18th can get refund
And they will call back on Monday

August 22:
They told me wait 10 business from 13th.

I decide to call police on Monday if they can’t give me an answer. I think I gave them enough time to do the invesgation, the reason they still can’t pay me is that they just didn’t help me to contact UPS at all, they just keep putting off the time and wait until the day I guve up. This is really irresponsible, hurting consumers again and again.

my mouse was working perfectly fine few…

my mouse was working perfectly fine few minutes ago before I was guided and after being pointed with all sorts of warnings and notifications that there is an windows 10 update. After the update the mouse only works when hoovering over their own internet browser EDGE that I never asked for and was forced on myself without choice to say a thing. They showed us the middle finger. This update seems to have changed my other browser start theme too. Shameful, disgraceful, dirtiest tactics out there. My computer deemed in usable in minutes from allowing an update. You frustrated freaks... aajjkakl ah idiotic
