I had to undergo PEC process and this just complicates everything when providers are trying to to claim everything was rejected, very stressful and unnecessary one would think once PEC is approved system updated to cover treatments

I think the no gaps program worked well. There was a good choice of doctors and hospital. My selection of both was easy to accomplish. The Medibank office I went to gave me clear information about my coverage and up front costs. The surgeon and hospital did the same. I was a little uneasy that the rehabilitation hospital wasn't confirmed before surgery, but that proved to be not a problem. The rehabilitation program seems to be the key to the success of the surgery. Being able to continue with this program is very important to me, especially once leaving the rehabilitation hospital. Knowing the costs for this will be covered by my insurance gives me peace of mind, an important component in my recovery.
Overall, while the cost of insurance has taken a big slice out of my monthly pension, (as I haven't had insurance before), it has been worth paying.
In retrospect, I wish I hadn't procrastinated for so long, before embarking on the whole process. Everyone has been only supportive. We are very privileged to have the amount and level of health care in Australia. Thank you.

Medibank did everything right. They were helpful, gave me all the information I requested and needed and generally they made the whole process easy. Emotionally and physically my bilateral knee surgery journey has been difficult. I really appreciate the fact that Medibank Private has assisted me the whole way.

From the minute I attended the Northern Private Hospital, there were no hidden fee's other than my Anesthetists $100.00 out of pocket cost which I was aware of. All the Staff at the hospital were great, very caring, I expected that from a private hospital, and was pleasantly surprised, finally on leaving the hospital all I needed to do was sign a few documents and the reception staff said that's all you need to do, everything is covered by your Health Insurance, I was very relieved and happy. Thank you Medibank.

I'm sick of trying to get in touch with this company, whom I pay over $300/month to, it's almost impossible. Ridiculous hold times after you've gone around and around in circles with the AI rubbish that can't understand a thing i'm saying and tries over and over to fob me off to their website self-help instead. This is why people are already angry by the time they finally get through to a human, and then their employees probably get abused by pissed off customers.
They'll in touch with you quick enough if you miss a payment, but trying to get in touch with THEM, even as a paying member - good luck!
