There was an issue with my number being locked because my SIM required a PUK code, which I didn’t know. I contacted Lyca Mobile, and my call was answered by Nicole, who was extremely helpful. She carefully verified all my information and then provided me with my PUK code. I’m very grateful to Nicole and to Lyca Mobile for their excellent customer service.

I give it 1 star because I can't give it less.
There should be whistles for companies like this.
On 21 August, I renewed my plan by providing my card number. I did not enable automatic subscription; it must have been enabled automatically by trickery.
Anyway, there are lots of reviews on Trustpilot saying that they steal from a lot of people this way.
On 19 September, I received a text message from Lyca saying that the plan renewal was successful.
Imagine my surprise. I wrote an email and called technical support. I have a recording of the conversation lasting over 10 minutes as proof.
The consultant told me that she would immediately disable the service and that they would refund my money within a few days.
I waited a month and nothing happened, no money, no response to the ticket number I was given, no response to my email, and then on 19 October, another text message about the automatic renewal of the service! The service that the lady was supposed to immediately disable a month earlier and refund my money. Nothing happened and I was robbed again.
I reported the case to ACM ConsuWijzer.
All those who have been defrauded report to the ACM; the more reports there are, the higher the penalty imposed on them will be.
No more theft.
Card blocked.
Dirty scammers. They steal from you quietly and deceitfully.
Edited after response on Trustpilot:
I have been your customer for about 9 years. Previously another number.
It's a shame that you only respond so quickly on Trustpilot, and not when people write or call your support team. It's clear where you have your customers.

I had a problem with my incoming calls for about 5 months. The problem is first call from any number is rejected automatically, and the operator said that the number is unreachable, but the second call is ok. Every time I tell the problem to the Customer Service, they told me that they reported it to the technical team and it will be fixed, or we will reset your profile. Please remove the SIM card and restart your phone for about 5 minutes after the call. The problem exists, and I want to cancel my subscription without an early termination fee, but they didn't cancel that. After many tries, I said that I would raise a complaint to ACM, and finally, I got rid of it.

Nicole helped me with a sim swap from my old number to my new number. She was very kind and patient and made sure all of my questions were answered and all of my fears assuaged. 10/10 should give her a raise.

Assisted by Marizabel on Old number transfer to new sim card. She s very helpful and calm which really help my nerve wreck loosing my phone. The steps from verification is smooth without pressure and allow ed me enough time to provide needed information. This whatsapp system really great. She guided me thru the process with no hassel, and correct just what needed. Whenever more info needed she s willing to repeat the request without pressuring me. I really recommend her to be an example on how it should be done, which in turn will recomend lycamobile tomy friends. Kudoo for her and whoever trained her. Thanks Matizabel, thanks Lyca 🙏👍

They’ve been charging me €20 every month for a whole year without my knowledge! Their auto-renewal policy is buried at the bottom of the website, and there was no clear notice or reminder before renewal. This feels intentionally deceptive — a big scam to trap customers into ongoing payments. Avoid Lyca unless you want to waste your money on hidden charges!

I strongly advise against choosing Lyca Mobile. Their customer service is absolutely unacceptable. I have tried to contact them multiple times — more than seven attempts by phone. On the rare occasions I managed to get through to an agent, the call was abruptly disconnected without any resolution. Emails and other contact methods either go unanswered or take far too long.
As a customer, you are left completely without support, no matter how urgent the issue is. A telecom provider that cannot provide even the most basic level of assistance should not be operating in the Netherlands. This level of service is unprofessional, frustrating, and shows a total lack of respect for their customers.
If you value reliable service and proper customer support, stay away from Lyca Mobile.

Getting spam emails without option to unsubscribe. Clicking on 'unsubscribe' leads to an error page.
Amateuristic and illegal, because the option to unsubscribe should function properly.
If I receive ONE MORE spam email, I will press charges against this amateuristic business.
Edit: it is interesting how they are quicker to reply to you on this website than when you send them an email. Still, the problem is not solved.
Even after over a month, I am still receiving illegal SPAM emails from this scam company. Seriously, NEVER get a phonenumber from these amateurs.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND LYCAMOBILE
After purchasing a 3GB plan, I actually received only 2.6GB, despite Lycamobile claiming I had 3,070MB (I have screenshots as proof).
Here are the main issues I encountered:
1. Hotspot usage is not allowed on 30-day subscription plans.
2. Topping up doesn’t work immediately — there’s a long delay before the data becomes usable.
3. Customer support is terrible — no online chat, and phone support keeps you waiting in long queues.
4. Buggy app — after paying with iDeal, the app doesn’t redirect correctly, so your payment may not complete until you call them.
Overall, using Lycamobile is very frustrating and unreliable.

I tried to contact customer support for two days, but I couldn't get through. Today, I finally managed to get in touch with customer support, and a consultant from Marizabel quickly helped me with my issue of transferring my number from a physical SIM card to an e-SIM. I'm very grateful for their help.

Still not been able to cancel or transfer my number to another provider. No response on email since 27 August 2025. Their responses here also nonsense, I have not received any response to my multiple emails to trustpilotreview [ at ] lycamobile.com since the first one I sent on 10 September
I have also contacted Lyca on Twitter, as a last resort. There they are referring me to the chat (in the chat they are saying they cannot access postpaid accounts only prepaid). The chat refers me to the phone (you wait >60 minutes, get through also to the prepaid line, have to be transferred, get someone who doesn't speak English (only Dutch) and then you have to be transferred again to the English-speaking line, who then hangs up on you.
LycaMobile is still charging me and if I don't pay they will refer to debt collectors. Please google other accounts of this.

The worst telecom Company I have ever dealt with. Quality of network is really really bad, customer service does not exist. Stay away from it

Worse service I've ever received since I've been in Netherlands. They couldn't perform a sim swap even after calling 4 times in one day and I've all necessary information. I called 4 times, spoke to 4 different people and they're all Indian, talk too much and you can't understand anything they're saying. I was so upset and I switch to vodafone and my problems was solved within minutes. It's 2025 idiots.

This whole Lyca Mobile is a scam and customer service a farce. They don't want to help you and stealing your money monthly. Don't give them your bank details because they will try to take out your money every month. Even if you want to stop it.

The data connection is often very poor and there are always issues when using Roaming data abroad. My last experience with the customer support has been awful. My regular bundle data for the month were almost done, so I received a SMS from Lyca with an offer to purchase 3 GB with the DATA BOLT On bundle. I purchased it. When the regular bundle data run out, the 3 GB additional I purchased were impossible to use. I tried every configuration of APN network, but i ended up buying an additional (different) Data bundle. I contacted the customer service and it was an awful experience. Via email (i was abroad), they take forever to reply and do not understand your problem, constantly trying to close the issue. Via call, terrible experience. They tried to convince me that I never bought the additional data, while i was right there with the receipt on the Lyca app on my hand. Annoying, impolite and rude people. The worst customer service experience I ever had. I kept sending email but they keep giving answers completely out of topic, it was completely frustrating. I will change provider and hope to join a class action soon!
