I don’t usually leave reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough to share.

I called Lowdham Nottingham today regarding a brand new Swift caravan. I explained upfront that I was calling from out of town, as our local dealer has poor reviews, and I told the gentleman exactly what we were looking for.

To be honest, he didn’t seem particularly interested. I asked for some finance figures — he did call me back, but the numbers didn’t match what was shown on the online calculator. That wasn’t a huge issue, but as I was driving, I asked if he could email the details over.

He simply said “no.” When I asked again, explaining I was driving and potentially looking to do a deal that day, he reluctantly took my email address, as if it was a chore. Unfortunately, the email never came.

We ended up contacting another dealer, got an appointment the same day, drove an hour, and had a completely different experience — helpful, polite, and professional. We secured a better deal, signed the finance, and have delivery booked for 12th May.

It’s a shame, as I contacted Lowdham based on their reputation, but this experience didn’t reflect that at all. Perhaps it was just a bad day, but first impressions count — especially when you’re ready to buy.

Their sales team are excellent. I purchased a brand new sunlight cliff 540rt off them last september. A 75 plate.
Within weeks it had a faulty roof latch.
8 months later after awful customer care from Lowdhams i managed to source a local dealer that would undertake the repair, under warranty, a job that Lowdhams was supposed to be undertaking. Hind sight is a wonderful thing. I will never be using them again and i would avoid Sunlight campervans as the build quality is awful.
Since posting this review I have been contacted by Lowdhams, not to apologise though and see if they could help improve my experience but to try and justify the timeline of my issues. Some one desperately needs some training in after sale service and customer care.
Well done for attempting an apology, I should have had one before I issued you a one star review though. You really need some training for your staff, the last young lady I spoke with was outright rude and had no empathy for my issue or the point I was trying to make.
Please try harder to look after your clients when they have problems.

We have just taken delivery of our new Swift motorhome from Lowdhans Leisureworld. Kevin Holmes ( sales) handled the sale from placing the order to delivery in an exemplary way, keeping us updated regularly with progress and arranging additional items to be fitted ready for collection. Kevin's personality & knowledge made our experience very enjoyable.

Jamie and the team provided exceptional service. Jamie spent the time to understand our requirements and budget; identifying a brilliant campervan.

We bought a new motorhome from Lowdhams at the NEC motorhome exhibition.
They had several different types of motorhome on show, all available to look around at leisure.
After deciding which one we wanted we spoke to one of their representatives (Gordon). He was very professional and knowledgeable and took us around the motorhome and explained and showed us its features.
Gordon was great to deal with and took us through the purchasing procedure and documentation. He explained the procedure from then onwards and we set up a date to pick up the motorhome from their Nottingham showroom.
We were contacted by Gordon by email and phone prior to us picking up the motorhome to fine tune the arrangements so it all went smoothly.
On the day we met Gordon at the showroom and we signed for the motorhome. After this we were given a handover where all the features and workings of the motorhome were shown to us. The motorhome was spotlessly clean both inside and out, was fully fuelled and had a tank full of clean water and was ready to go!
We chose to stay at their on site campsite for the night so that we could try everything out and always ask for advice in the morning should anything not be working correctly.
This is the first motorhome we have bought and have found the whole experience from the initial viewing through to driving it away easy and enjoyable.
Buying a motorhome is a big investment and could be a rather daunting experience but it has been reassuring to be buying it from Lowdhams as they are very professional and experienced.
We would especially like to thank Gordon for his help and assistance throughout the whole process. It has been very reassuring to have had the continuity of dealing with the same person from the first contact with Lowdhams through to driving the motorhome away.

The sales team were exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. The handover was thorough and complete. It does take time to absorb the systems - a bit like a new computer!

We purchased our motor home long distance (from New Zealand). Right from the get go Steve from Lowdhams gave flawless support, answering our numerous questions via emails immediately and also was proactive in giving us helpful information.
We planned our arrival into the UK to the timing of availability of the 2026 model that we ordered. This went flawlessly with no delays in pick up, even with last minute addition of a Gas Low system that we requested.

The whole experience dealing with purchase of our new tracker motorhome was brilliant. A massive ThankYou to Adam who has dealt with everything and nothing was to much trouble he was amazing. And Paul doing the handover was very helpful with all we asked of him so ThankYou for your service 👍Teresa and Tony Larkin.

Caroline the sales person that worked with us to get the motorhome we wanted was fantastic, we stayed on the rally field for a few nights on change over from our caravan, that was great to be able to do that. What I have experienced is lack of communication when phoning Lowdhams, and I'm not sure who did the PDI on our new motorhome, but who ever it was needs to book an eye test at specsavers. Front blind was visibly damaged along with the shower screen having multiple fractures in it, flooring had deep marks in it, trim missing from above fridge, ( that was on the floor ) and a mark on the rear outer panel that will need repairing. Our very first motorhome purchase and very disappointed these were not picked up and put right before it was handed over to us.

We have recently brought a motorhome from this company and from start to finish we were treated amazingly by the lovely Gordon whitehead the service he gave us was second to none thanks so much Gordon

Staff were brilliant and had the knowledge to get the right part for us. Very friendly and helpful was Robbie One person in particular was exceptional Dean Brownlow.

Great service from start to finish. Since getting our Motorhome we've had a couple of questions and these have been dealt with really quickly. Everybody at Lowdhams has been friendly helpful and have taken their time to support this process and us. We couldn't be happier.

We recently purchased a new Hymer CrossTrail from Lowdhams and the entire experience was first class from start to finish.

Kevin Holmes, our salesperson, was a true gentleman. He was professional, knowledgeable, and an absolute pleasure to deal with throughout the process. Nothing was too much trouble and he made everything smooth and stress-free.

As for the Hymer CrossTrail itself, it is an exceptional motorhome and has exceeded all of our expectations. In just four weeks, we’ve already covered over 2,000 miles and are absolutely loving it!

We would highly recommend both Lowdhams and Kevin Holmes to anyone considering a motorhome purchase.

We recently bought a Malibu motorhome from Lowdhams and have been very impressed by the experience. We initially dealt with Kevin Holmes in the sales team who couldn't have done more to help and respond to all our initial queries and from then on with Caroline who dealt with our actual sale. Caroline was extremely helpful in dealing with pre sale requests and along with Mark (Sales Control Manager) has been extremely efficient at sorting out a few teething problems since we collected our motorhome in March. These issues were prioritised through the service centre and got sorted very quickly. We must also mention Paul who gave a very thorough and comprehensive handover and was extremely helpful with a particular query we had post purchase.

The whole experience from start to finish was excellent,Richard kept me updated on the whole smooth process of buying my first Motorhome..I would definitely recommend buying from Lowdens leisure 5*plus
