YOU CALL THIS CUSTOMER SERVICE????

Had to call one of the three people in the bakery to attend me as two were too busy talking to each other one of who said she would be right back after getting gloves but never returned and the third one was too busy on her phone until we called over to her.
At check out we had to change toi different cashier because the line we were standing wasn't moving because the cashier stopped processing the order to talk to the other customer.

I fell in love with Longos 10 years ago…

I fell in love with Longos 10 years ago and actually worked closely with the CEO of Grocery Gateway around the time Longos acquired them, so I met executive leaders at their head office up in Bolton, ON. Very good produce and decent butcher. Now, 10 years later, they're owned by Sobeys, and they opened a new location near my house in South Etobicoke. I had also tried their location in Applewood, Mississauga as well. As of today:

- Almost all of their produce is from the USA during a time when we're supposed to be boycotting them
- Quality of prepared meals is terrible in my opinion. I bought some of their premade pizza, which tasted like watered-down reddish cardboard.
- Expensive! Even more so than before
- People who work there are friendly, and I felt welcomed when I last visited. I even joined their rewards program because they asked so nicely.

Because of how close they're to my home, and how friendly the people are, I might pop in if they have a deal worth getting, but I won't be doing my grocereis here anymore.

I visited Longo's Dundas and Trafalgar…

I visited Longo's Dundas and Trafalgar this past Saturday, Asked the butcher about blade vs prime rib - one twice the price of the other - but blade is good. The blade roast he cut off looked good - some marbling. ($60.00 worth) My wife slow cooked it yesterday. The flavour was okay but the roast was so graining it had to be cut with a steak blade and I chewed more than I thought I should have too. Very disappointing. Lesson learned. They should be ashamed; but they won,t!

I'd give this a fat Zero if there's an option to select it. We bought the Lasagna from Longos on Highway 7/Warden and we're completely disappointed! Not only did it take 100 hours (exaggerating here) to bake, what was disappointing was the sporadically droplets of little ground meat tucked away on the mushy layers of essentially pasta and tomato sauce. It feels like we're peeling off layers to see inside like looking for ants in an abandoned ant colony. Don't waste your money on this one! If I had chosen to buy uncooked lasagna noodles, a bottle of Classico pasta sauce, use a few cheese and droplets of ground beef, it would not amount to $12.99 plus tax. they've advertised this making it look like you're getting superb deal! Totally false, disappointing, misleading and it's daylight robbery!

“Meat” in Name Only

“Meat” in Name Only
This is marketed as Traditional Meat Lasagna, but that description is fundamentally inaccurate. There are no discernible meat pieces—only minuscule meat crumbs, so sparse they’re practically theoretical. Not bite-sized. Not layered. Barely present at all.
This isn’t a meat lasagna. It’s noodles, sauce, and cheese with a microscopic trace of ground beef that seems included solely to justify the label. If you removed the word “meat” from the packaging, nothing about the eating experience would change.
From a consumer integrity standpoint, this crosses into misleading territory. The name sets an expectation that the product categorically fails to meet.
Bottom line: do not buy this if you’re expecting meat. I won’t repurchase, and I’d caution others to look elsewhere.

Disappointing caramel cheddar popcorn

I bought the caramel cheddar popcorn. Despite the positive reviews I read, I am not impressed. There were very few pieces of caramel popcorn - perhaps 12 pieces in the entire bag. The picture on the bag is very deceiving. I won’t buy it again.

Longos cooking class

My daughter purchased a cooking class for my husband and me
My fault I mixed up the date and missed our class.
My daughter reached out to longos asking to reschedule a class not a refund
And their response was no.
They got their 150 bucks and so what to the customer
Not a great way to treat customers makes me think about shopping at longos in the future.
What would the big deal be to reschedule a cooking class
You got your money screw you

Antonio,

Antonio,

I am writing to express my deepest and most heartfelt gratitude for the beautiful shower cake you created for my future daughter-in-law. From the very beginning, your warmth, kindness, and genuine passion for your craft shone through, and seeing the final cake truly moved me.

This celebration means so much to me. My son is my only child, and watching him prepare to marry the woman he loves has been an incredibly emotional and cherished time in my life. Every detail of this bridal shower holds deep sentimental value, and knowing the cake—such an important centerpiece—was in your hands brought me tremendous comfort. When I saw what you created, it brought tears to my eyes. Your attention to detail, the care you put into every element, and the pride you take in your work were evident in every inch of that cake.

You went above and beyond in every possible way. Not only was the cake stunning, but you were pleasant, patient, and caring throughout the entire process. You ensured it was ready on time, exactly as promised, and you treated this order with a level of respect and dedication that I will never forget.

Longo’s is incredibly fortunate to have someone like you. You embody what true customer service should be, and you are a remarkable example for others to follow. Your talent—and the heart you put behind it—brought something truly special to a very meaningful day in my family’s life.

Thank you, Antonio, from the bottom of my heart.

With sincere and heartfelt gratitude,
Valerie

Terrible Thanksgiving Turkey Meal

We ordered the Longo's Thanksgiving meal this year. We had ordered from another caterer in the past but he no longer was offering this meal.
The turkey came precooked and to warm it up we followed the exact directions on the label.
I was concerned over the length of time and temperature for what was supposed to be a pre-cooked turkey but figured better to follow they're directions.
Sadly the turkey came out over cooked and very dry.
The gravy that came with the meal was watery and lacked any flavour.
The green beans were raw but apparently they were supposed to have been cooked but clearly were not.
The only good part of the meal was the stuffing.
We were very disappointed with this meal and will not order it again especially given the cost of the meal.

Diana assisted me today and acted above and beyond!
The Chocolatine Croissant I love were out and I asked Diana she told me that she made them today but that they are finished!
Diana told me, I will check if we have in stock, I will make for you as she knows that I always take them on the weekends. Yes, they were available and Diana asked how many I need. I said 2 and she said by 9:30am. When I arrived, they were ready. I really don't know what to say. Diana not only love her job but like to help customers. Longos is really fortunate to have Diana among it Team members!

Absolutely unacceptable

I am absolutely incredulous over the substandard produce offered by the Bolton Longos location. Rotten fruit , dried garlic and despite my complaints nothing has changed. How can this company offer this community such garbage at high prices? What is going on here? This location was run as Garden Foods for decades with the most high level of service and products demonstrating such respect for its customers and Bolton community. No respect for loyal customers and to think that they still have not made not one change to improve is beyond my comprehension as a consumer. Who is running this location anyways? I give it one star but honestly it’s a zero.

Their Longo's card account reset frequently

Their Longo's card account resets frequently, you always have to enter the password usually when you're in the checkout. Today the fast checkout machine wrongfully charged me on carrots, I asked for help but after waiting for over 10 minutes I decided to swallow the price difference in longo's favor. BAD BAD

Longo’s have too many American products. Fortino‘s seem to have more Canadian products and other countries like Chile, Mexico, and more Canadian produce which are a little bit more costly but better quality than the American produce in some cases. You can do better Longos elbows up!!

Passover Products

It was disappointing to find such a limited supply of Passover products this year at the Leslie and York Mills location. Your store is supported by a sizable Jewish community. There is no excuse for this.
