If I could give zero stars I would. Booked a luxury room with ocean view, paid double the price to get a decent room. I travel across the globe to find that they sent a standard booking to the hotel. 3 hours fighting them on the phone. They promised to call me back and follow up with an email. NO RESPONSE! customer service barely speak proper English which made this event even more stressful. False advertising is FRAUD! STAY WAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

I paid extra for the "Refundable by Hopper" option during booking as given my wife is pregnant we were uncertain if we could travel or not. With 10 days to go to the holiday we discovered she could not due to medical complications and doctor recommendation. I called Hopper to get the refund, but they silently witheld the "refundable by Hopper" amount of ~£400. I complained on the phone saying this is not advertised anywhere that they will keep this 'refundable by Hopper' amount and that it is severely misleading. How stupid is it that the company keeps the premium you paid for a refundable fare!!
AVOID if you have ANY uncertainty that your holiday dates might change/cancel.

Do not book with Hopper if you ever need customer support.
I had a simple name correction needed on my ticket — not a name change, just a fix so my ticket would match my ID. Hopper refused to help. After multiple attempts to resolve this, I was forced to purchase an entirely new ticket out of pocket just to be able to fly.
This is not a minor inconvenience — I paid twice for the same seat because Hopper's customer service is either unwilling or incapable of handling basic ticket modifications that every major airline and booking platform accommodates.
Save yourself the money and the headache. Book directly with the airline.

UPDATE: Hopper did fix the issue and I’m officially rebooked. The representative was patient, understanding my frustration with days of going back and forth!
The phone line system is annoying because it’s A.I. and takes too long to get to a live person… Otherwise, I’m all settled!
Hopper is horrible with hotel accommodations! I only wanted to change my reservation date by 2 weeks and they gave me the run around so that I would lose my money. And I paid the extra money/insurance!!
The fees add up!!! So you really do NOT get a discount!!!
DO NOT USE THEM FOR HOTEL BOOKINGS!!

WARNING!! DO NOT PURCHASE A FULLY REFUNDABLE TICKET FROM HOPPER!! IT IS NOT STATED IN THEIR POLICY TO MAKE THE CUSTOMER WAIT FOR 2-3 MONTHS TO RECEIVE THE REFUND! IT IS A RIDICULOUS POLICY AND THE RULES ACCORDING TO NTA (NATIONAL TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY, THE REFUNDS MUST BE PROCESSED BETWEEN 7-20
CALENDAR DAYS!!
I purchased a fully refundable airline ticket through the Hopper app. Hopper has acknowledged that I am due the refund. However they are making me wait 2-3 months to receive it. This is a ridiculous amount of time for $363. I have complained numerous times but they keep giving me the same answer. Nowhere does it say on their website that refunds take 2-3 months. See below for their response. I also reached out to Avianca Airlines and they have put the responsibility solely on Hopper USA.
This is Hopper’s response.
Hopper: “Thank you for reaching out to us for an update on your refund request. We sincerely apologize for the wait and any inconvenience this may be causing. Please note that we’ve already submitted the request to the airline for processing on their end. While the standard timeframe provided is 60–90 days, refunds are often completed within approximately one month”.
It’s been 6 weeks and counting…
I also asked Hopped if their policy is transparent and if it’s stated that the standard timeframe for refunds is 60-90 days? The response was No.

The worst app ever. They charged me for a reservation I didn't make. There's no way to get back the money they stole from me. They say there's a chat feature for filing complaints, but that's a lie. There's no icon or help chat. They're thieves. Don't buy anything here.

The booking was straight forward but the system is terrible. It never told me that the currency was not of my region so the price was deceiving only realised it was on USD when I booked. Cancellation was easy and promised to give me a full refund but when I did get the refund, it wasn't in full however the refund invoice still shows the full amount.

Don’t use Hopper, they never answer, no customer service. Why are they allowed to operate in the UK if they don’t have a chat available for Uk. They send us to a US number. Why do we need to pay for the phone call? The hotel was absolutely filthy and I cannot speak to anyone. Never book through Hopper! Nobody’s will support you if you will need help.

What a useless company. I booked a flight with them with the flight protection, tried to change my flight, there was supposed to be no change fee just the difference of the flight (totally fair) tried to charge me more than half of my total for round trip flight. I could easily buy this on their app or the delta website for a fraction of the cost. Turan said that this was not the case. When I was looking right at it. I asked to cancel and be refunded, it was points, sure. Points never came. Total scam. Dont waste your time. Wouldn't give me any sort of reference number for this as he said it was against company policy

I had an absolutely harrowing experience with Greenview Hotel and Hopper. I booked this stay for a birthday celebration, but upon arrival, the provided door codes did not work. We were completely unable to access the building or our room. Despite multiple attempts to contact support and filling out registration forms five times, we were left outside with no help.
We never even made it into the unit. After being stranded, we were forced to drive three hours back home in the middle of the night. This caused significant distress and anxiety for my family. To make matters worse, the hotel’s claims about arrival procedures and staff availability were completely contradictory to our experience. I am currently demanding a full refund for this total failure of service. Avoid this property and booking through Hopper if you want a reliable place to stay.

We rented a car through Hopper and had a receipt showing zero dollars due. When we arrived to get the car, we were told we had to pay HUNDREDS of dollars extra for a daily toll fee and they refused to let us decline insurance even though we were covered in two other places. So our cost was going to at least double. We left without the car and had to go rent directly from Budget. We tried to dispute the charge (I had paid for upgraded customer service on Hopper and had been talking to someone through the whole debacle, so they were aware of the problem). They refused to issue a refund of the money I had already paid so I was out for the whole $300 plus had to rent another car. They say I didn’t follow cancellation policy, and refused to acknowledge my receipt showing zero dollars due at pickup of the car. I will NEVER use Hopper again.

ANYONE WHO SPENDS MONEY WITH HOPPER NEEDS TO UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS A HIGH PROBABILITY YOU ARE THROWING YOUR MONEY INTO THE GARBAGE. AFTER A DOZEN PHONE CALLS, HOURS ON HOLD AND LOTS OF EMPTY PROMISES, I GAVE UP ON THE REFUND FOR MY CANCELLED SANSA FLIGHT. DON'T FLY SANSA EITHER. THEY DON'T HAVE THE SLIGHTEST IDEA HOW TO RUN AN AIRLINE.

I live in London and needed a car for the weekend. Booked through their app for a local rental. At pick up, Europcar showed me that Hopper had booked using US rates - which do not include basic insurance - which is only allowable if you are a US resident.
Had to pay another £75 to get the car - despite having "£0.00 to pay" on the email confirmation from Hopper.
If you try to contact them you get chatbots, unless you want to pay to call their US number, which seems unreasonable - and I suspect a waste of time.
Should have checked Trustpilot. Do not use. You will get ripped off.
UPDATE: I actually called their helpline. Waste of time. They just gas lighted me saying that I declined insurance. I tried to book another car to test this. At no point is insurance offered. DO NOT USE HOPPER.

Do not use thus service. These people are criminals.
I bought Hopper “cancel for any reason” insurance for a spring break flight to Guatamala via Volaris. Months before the flight we realised that we would need to reschedule the trip for family reasons.
I was on the phone for hours to cancel the flight as it didn’t work online or by chat.
I have had many calls with the goal of getting my refund.
It has been 4 months and still no refund.
Embarrassing really to be so blatantly criminal. Do not give this company your money under any circumstances. Together we can put these losers out of “buisness”.

I’ve unfortunately had to add another negative experience with Hopper, similar to many others.
We booked our hotel in Phuket, Thailand through Hopper (via CBA), assuming it would be reliable given its association with the Commonwealth Bank. However, upon arriving at Duangjitt Resort & Spa, we were informed that our booking had been cancelled.
We then spent nearly two hours in the hotel lobby dealing with Hopper customer service via chat and phone calls. They were unable to resolve the issue on the spot and claimed it was due to an internal system error. With no alternative and needing a place to stay, I was instructed to pay the hotel directly, which I had no choice but to do.
It wasn’t until midday the following day—after I chased them again—that they finally acknowledged the booking and contacted the hotel to confirm it.
This is the last thing anyone wants to deal with during a holiday—spending hours sorting out booking issues, dealing with frustration, and facing unnecessary embarrassment. The Hopper team showed little sense of urgency or care for customer service and overall satisfaction.

I can never find a deal. When I look at the deal, it is advertised for a certain price, but then when you actually click on the advertised deal, the price jumps anywhere from 200-400$. For example, just today, Hopper advertised a flight "deal' from Montreal to Barcelona for 623$ with departure dates in May. I click on it and the starting price for a plane ticket is 850$ with a total flight duration of over 20h because of a 12h layover in Amsterdam. When I check the prices on Google flights, the same flight from Montreal to Barcelona is 816$. So not only does Hopper not find a deal, but it shows prices that are more expensive than Google flights.

If I could give a lower grade, I would. Today marks day 73 of asking Hopper to reimburse me for the flight I paid for out of pocket after I was issued an invalid ticket to visit my dying mother. Also to reinstate the flights they subsequently cancelled. I have spent all my roaming minutes calling with no resolution and the emails completely disregard the fact that I have no flights back home. I was supposed to fly back on May the 2nd, and it looks like Hopper stole money with no intention of actually providing a service.
My poor husband called and cried on the phone because of the way I was treated and they told him he could call back when he calmed down.
Thankfully we have recorded all phone calls showing the poor customer service treatment and we have all the emails saved to present this publicly.
Absolutely, under no circumstances, should you reply with a number for me to call. I spent all my roaming minutes calling you, I have nothing left! You have my email address, reply with a resolution there

If I could give this website 0 stars, I absolutely would! I had never used this website and someone recommended it to me. I booked a hotel room for one night in NYC. TWICE did I see the notice of HOPPER SHOWS ALL FEES INCLUDED IN THE PRICE. TWICE! However when I got to the hotel, they imposed an additional resort fee charge. My sister was with me and had booked her room through Booking.com and there was no additional fees. They are HONEST when they say all fees are included. HOPPER is not. When I called them to inquire, they said you have to scroll past where you would place the booking and that is where you'll see the additional fees mentioned. Even though I read twice while booking that ALL FEES ARE INCLUDED. They didn't care and are purposely deceiving customers hoping they won't scroll down past the booking. When I had looked at another booking website, before choosing Hopper, they were honest and mentioned at check-out that a resort fee would be imposed at the hotel. So I didn't book there. That's how it should be done. And now that I'm writing this review, I see how many other bad reviews HOPPER has received. They should be out of business. HIGHLY RECOMMEND NEVER TO USE HOPPER.. BOOKING.COM IS DEFINITELY THE SITE TO USE.

Astonishingly bad customer service from three different operatives two of whom Susan and Jennifer were rude and patronizing. I wanted to make a simple flight change and after three calls, an hour on the phone and multiple emails it still could not be done. Avoid this company at all costs.
