Ideal location, very clean and well equipped. Best cottage we've ever stayed in. Owners were friendly and on hand if needed.

The Garden Cottage was lovely. Very comfortable, clean, well equipped & the owners are very welcoming. I felt very safe here as a solo traveller. Blue Anchor Steam Railway and seafront less than a minutes walk away. Easy drives into Minehead, Watchet & Dunster and further afield to Lynton & Lynmouth & Glastonbury.

Fantastic property, in a great location in North Devon with such friendly and welcoming hosts. We had the best 5 days here here and will 100% be returning. The views are spectacular towards the coast and waking up to see the cows so close on the neighbouring field was so good. We loved the hot tub at night watching the stars in the sky. Our hosts made us really feel at home in such a well equipped, spotlessly clean property with fantastically comfortable beds. The added bonus of the sun shining every day was the icing on top of the cake. If you are fortunate enough to stay at this property you will not be disappointed.

Beautiful cottage, tastefully done. Very clean and in a great, quiet neighbourhood. Easy to get to the beach, walkable distance of the village beach and pubs/ restaurant.

Efficient and professional emails regarding arrival and departure - accurate depiction of holiday let - no hidden costs

We booked a weeks holiday with Holiday Cottages, payment is made to Travel Chapter Ltd, the property was dirty, tired and worn, we have tried to get a refund, Holiday Cottages don’t want to know and we can’t claim through our credit card company due to the company and the payment company being different names, AVOID AT ALL COSTS

This cottage is disappointing. It has been furnished with a host of mismatched items in my opinion and some basic items are missing. The lighting was very poor and all it needs to rectify is better bulbs and lampshades. Also, there are basic items like waste paper bins, hanging space in the bedroom, clothes dryer and decent cutlery that are missing.

Location is good and the infrastructure of this property is good but not finished well.

The owners were horrible. The property was not cleaned to anywhere near the expected standard for a 5 star house. When we very politely asked if the cleaners could come out, the owners came to the property and confronted us in a hostile and totally unexpected manner. I do not expect mouldy walls, faeces in toilets, rust and grease caking up the dishwasher sides or grubby kitchen cupboards when splashing out on what was supposed to be a high end holiday cottage. Even more than that though, I am shocked by such a poor response from the owner, which was so upsetting that we left and lost out on our family summer holiday (as well as a lot of money).

Booking was straightforward although when I can a query about WiFi (mentioned in the reviews) I didn’t feel 100% reassured.
Logged into the app/booking 7 days prior to arrival and we were unable to change bed configuration so spoke to someone from the team who was helpful and changed it on the system to twin beds in one room. However when we arrived it was made up as a double. We split the beds and when we called were advised of where to find alternative bedding. Turned out the note on the system had been logged as “not twin beds” rather than “now twin beds”. Just a minor error but it did mean that the first half hour of our holiday was spent sorting it out and remaking beds.
Finally, I called the day before to check garage access (info on the booking said that the owners could make the garage available so wanted to request this). During the call one lady advised that the garage may be too narrow to park a car in and that they would call back to confirm if that was the case and also that it would be available. We didn’t hear back, but fortunately when we arrived the garage was easily accessed and plenty wide enough (although wouldn’t have been long enough for a car any longer than our Golf). Would just be helpful for the team to know so they can advise accordingly.
Other than that everything went smoothly and we had a fantastic week. Appreciated being able to give feedback on the house to owners and a separate review visible to the public.

Perfect relaxing break and amazing to have a properly enclosed garden for my dog to roam.

Description of cottage was fair & explanatory. Good communication. Booking process straight forward. Did not have to contact with any issues, so cannot comment on whether issues would be dealt with efficiently?

Easy to book online, good range of properties. They emailed clear instructions 2 weeks prior to holiday with contact numbers, which we did need to use halfway through the holiday, but the issue with uncleared bins was resolved promptly. Will definitely use again.

Everything about this property was excellent. Perfect cottage for 2 to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Northumbrian countryside.
