Before I started using New Wash my hair felt dry and looked dry. It was even difficult to manage. I've never even heard of Hairstory until one day while playing a game on my phone, I ran out of points and they had the option of completing offers and get points. So I took a chance and what do
you know. No shampoo build-up, my hair looks and feel healthier, and easier to manage. I love it!

Hairstory Rich has been a game changer for my hair and scalp! Especially during the winter when I get dry skin. It does an amazing job of protecting my color treated hair, and the color lasts sooooo much longer now than it ever did before using regular drugstore shampoo. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to extend the amount of time between washes! I still use detergent-based shampoo once every couple weeks because my scalp is super finicky, but I use new wash every other day. Any my hair has never been so soft!!

Hairstory has changed my hair and scalp and I will never go back to regular shampoo. After years (a decade?) of scalp issues, using Hairstory restored and repaired my scalp after 3-6 months of regular use. It continues to improve even 9 months in. Thank you Hairstory!

I love Hairstory! Their new wash has simplified my shower routine. My fine to medium hair feels clean and hydrated but never weighed down. I also adore the hair balm and their powder product. Adds such beautiful texture and feels lovely in my hair!

Hairstory was a game changer for me. My hair was not loving showers everyday and was looking about as stressed out as I was feeling but Hairstory has my head happy :) Wonderful experience to look forward to at the end of each shift.

LOVE this product!! I was skeptical at first because of the texture, but within 2 washings (rinsing a lot is the key), my hair is super clean, silky, has more body than it ever has in my 65 years of life, and I do not have to use ANY products to make it look good. I can go 2 days between washings and it still looks great. Went to salon for my haircut and they used regular products on my hair and it looked terrible. Had to rush home and use my New Wash, and then all was right. It's a one-and-done product for me!

With high expectations invested top dollar for a small satchel of shampoo and the aftercare product for 'beach hair'UNDRESSED.

The shampoo has been beyond underwhelming -I have long, layered, normally naturally amazing hair that became drab, lacking sheen entirely, and a scalp that's dank & greasy (I don't have greasy hair). Worst condition of my life (unfortunately!)

UNDRESSED is a $60 version of a drug store product that has an identical effect.

Very disappointed. Extremely.

I was pleasantly surprised with the shampoo, and am very happy with it, will continue to purchase. I also tried the balm, but found it to heavy for my fine hair, even when using just a little bit. I gave 4 stars because the products are pricey.

I just got back from getting my hair cut. I had two different stylists working on my hair at different points throughout the appointment. Both of them commented on how soft and silky my hair felt (without knowing that the other person said the same thing). I have been using the Rich New Wash for about four months now and love how it gets rid of my frizz and softens my hair.

It took me a long while for my hair to adjust, but once it did WOW! I have straight, fine hair that I wear in a long bob... I struggle with grease and limpness. My hair is softer than it has been in YEARS, and definitely has more body.

I also use Powder on non-wash days, which I can go 4-5 if I really want to, and Dressed Up on blow dry days. Full disclosure... I hated heat styling my hair and NEVER blew it dry, that has changed with Dressed Up! My hair is so soft and silky post-blow dry and I actually get excited about styling.

I don't care too much for Undressed, but I'm trying to learn best practices.

I bought the deep new wash from Hairstory. Unfortunately the product wasn't for me but the service from the company was 5 star.

When the product was first delivered it was super fast and well packaged. The product itself also comes in a recyclable non plastic pouch which I loved.

After using around 4 times and realising it was not the right haircare product for me, I contacted customer services to initiate the money back guarantee.

My email was answered swiftly and the refund processed straight away.

Such a shame the product wasn't right for me as the customer service from the company was amazing!

I have used the product for 7 months now. I thought it will rebalance my scalp and stop my hair from getting greasy. After every wash hair feels good but only for short while and then it gets quickly oily again. I can’t see advantage of using it over regular shampoo and to wash hair is a lengthy process and it’s expensive if you need to use it every day. Have to look for another solution.

Hair ended up worse, ends of my hair became dry, brittled and hard to brush. I tried it for a month and it took so much product to even have my hair feel like it even was washed. My hair felt extremely heavy in not a good way and the longer I used it, the worse it got. I have very thin and fine hair, so it lost all of it's flow, it just became gross. The roots always stayed greasy and my hair needed to be washed WAY more often. Prior to using New Wash, I already was washing my hair 1-2x a week with a HiBar. But with New Wash, I tried to still go 1-2x a week, but my hair got so greasy and unmanageable that I had to go every other day. I have been using paraban free and sulfate free shampoo already for years and with how little I was already washing my hair, how is this a "transition" period. My hair was already used to barely being washed and having it's normal oil amount. Even when I switched bar shampoos there was no "transition" period. My hair treated it the same.

The biggest thing is in the short time I used it, my hair ends became so dry and brittle. I've been trimming them more and more than usual just so they don't get knotted and so I can brush through it. I have mildly lightened hair and with the pandemic and working from home, I don't use any products in my hair, I don't style it and barely even use my hair dryer. So how is it, that the tips of my hair are just as damaged like when I bleached my hair to dye it pink over 7 years ago?

I really wanted to like this and it had "rave" reviews. I know all hair is different, but I've never actually had a shampoo actively make my hair worse. Even cheap sulfate shampoo you get at the drug store hasn't done this to my hair. I washed my hair for the first time in over a month with my Viori bar shampoo and my hair has felt so much better, and now going on 2 days without washing and I have almost no grease build up. I'll just stick to this.

I’ve used regular New Wash for about a year. I’ve got longish, medium texture, type 1-2, hennaed hair. Before I started using New Wash, my hair was tangling the minute the comb left it, despite max-moisture conditioners. Now my only problem is laziness ... I need to “new wash” my hair every 3-4 days for it to look its best. The silicone scalp massage brush helps!

I wish I could leave a better review for this product. I love the idea, the customer service is good but the product itself is poor.
I've tried it for approx a month now. I really wash and massage it in. Leave it maybe 5 mins and rinse for ages, but it just leaves my thick wavy hair lank and greasy. It hasn't felt clean or shiny in a month.
I won't be buying again, it's pretty expensive but probably the same price as a shampoo+conditioner you buy separately.
Nice idea but it didn't work for me.

I wish I’d read these reviews before I bought but I was sucked into the advertisement and the promise of wonderful hair. Looking through the reviews I feel there’s a pattern. I have fine, thin, flat, weak hair that’s naturally frizzy. It really stresses me out, I’d try anything for better hair! I’ve been using New wash deep for around 4 weeks now and it’s constantly flat, dull, greasy, itchy and flaky. I’ve been waiting for this transition period to complete but I feel it’s a loosing battle and it’s really getting to me. Goodbye new wash, Hairstory and good riddance!!!

I have very thick, coarse hair and I thought the new wash and dry shampoo would be the perfect products for me! I went all in and bought the huge refillable bottle of new wash and have been using it for almost a year. I also use the dry shampoo, so at this point, I've exclusively been using Hairstory's products. They state over and over again that these products will not irritate the scalp but wow, these products dry out my scalp like none other. I constantly have build-up from the dry shampoo and flakes and my scalp is so dry it bleeds. I thought I just needed to get through the "transition phase" but things are worse than they've ever been. I finally had to stop using the products altogether. I recognize everyone's scalp and hair is different but I feel like these expensive products didn't live up to any of their promises. :(
