WASTE OF YOUR TIME. DONT USE IT!

The bus service from Dubrovnik to Kotor is a joke. The bus does NOT run by its schedule. The trip to Kotor took 4:15 hours instead of the advertised 2:10 hours. Almost DOUBLE the scheduled time. The return trip was exactly the same. It’s crazy. Driver completely respectful. Does not care. All passengers furious. Don’t use this service!

Now delays of the buses in high season are common, due to an increase in road traffic and the bus companies are all trying to make that as less as possible, but of course there are some situations which are impossible to predict or prevent.

GetByBus is only an intermediary in online ticket sale and our agency cooperates with numerous bus companies. Our company sadly cannot directly impact on the quality of service, although we do our best to avoid unpleasant situations, but some things are unfortunately impossible to predict and prevent such as traffic situation on the road

It was indicated on our website during the ticket purchase, that unforeseeable delays might occur due to heavy traffic during high season and the possible border traffic.

We are sorry that you are unsatisfied with the service, and apologize for all the inconvenience this delay has caused you.

Excellent Customer Service and Flexible Voucher Policy at GetByBus

Due to changes in my schedule, I needed to cancel my original ticket. The customer service staff at GetByBus were extremely patient and thorough in guiding me through the process, and I received a 100% exchange voucher. This voucher can be used for new bookings within six months. This service offers flexibility for travellers' plans, and I highly recommend GetByBus to anyone in need of booking tickets.

This is a complete scam company

This is a complete scam company. They pretend to be partner of various ferry providers and sell you "tickets". When you go to the ferry provider, they will inform you getbyferry.com is not a partner of their company, the ticket does not exist in their system. At this point you would request for help or refund from getbyferry.com, and then they will expertly quote "No refund if you did not inform 24 hours earlier", even if the ticket u purchased was for a departure less than 24 hours. So if you purchased the ticket on Tuesday night for a departure on wednesday morning, you're supposed to magically know and inform on Monday.

They play on terms and conditions loop hole and is a complete scam

This means that we are obliged to process refund requests in terms set by other companies. When booking your ticket, you had to confirm that you have read and agreed with General Terms in which it is clearly stated that the ticket can be canceled or changed 24 hours before the departure.

I booked a ferry from Bangsal, Lombok to Nusa Penida. When I arrived at the office they said they did not have my booking. I actually had a receipt from Getbybus/ferry but not a pdf ticket. I ended up having to buy a second ticket for the ferry and then got in contact with getbybus to explain the situation. They were very apologetic and refunded me straight away. They said there was an error on the website… whether this was true or not I’m not sure but I got my money back. If you decide to use them, make sure you get the pdf, if you don’t receive it, email them at info@ + company name .com immediately for confirmation.

Missed flight because of them

Today I have such a terrible experience, when I was buying the ticket, day before, I saw the schedule and I saw the arrival time, which was good for me, because I had the flight after. I went from Baška Voda to Zagreb. In schedule arrival time was 13.45, but they arrived at 14.50. And because of that I missed my flight to Doha. Don’t recommend them.

I had an extremely frustrating and…

I had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience with this airport transfer service. What should have been a smooth journey to the airport turned into a stressful ordeal due to unclear policies and unprofessional staff behavior.
Unclear Luggage Fee Policy
The main issue arose from the company's ambiguous luggage fee policy. While the ticket mentioned that "there may be a charge" for luggage, it failed to specify the exact amount or that it needed to be paid in cash. This lack of clear communication led to a significant problem when I arrived at the station.
Driver Refusal and Rudeness
Upon arrival, I was shocked when drivers refused to take me because I couldn't pay a 2 euro luggage fee in cash. As a traveler relying on digital payment methods like Google Wallet, I didn't have cash on hand. The drivers' response was not only unhelpful but also incredibly rude. They laughed at my predicament and argued that I would be left behind, which is unacceptable customer service.
Lack of Payment Options
The insistence on cash-only payment for the luggage fee is outdated and inconvenient, especially for international travelers who may not carry local currency. In today's digital age, not offering alternative payment methods is a significant oversight.
Suggestion for Improvement
If luggage fees are consistently charged, especially for airport-bound passengers who are likely to have luggage, it would be more transparent and customer-friendly to include this fee in the ticket price. At the very least, the exact fee and payment method should be clearly stated on the ticket to avoid such situations.
Resolution
In the end, I had to resort to asking a stranger at the station for money to pay the fee, which was embarrassing and should never have been necessary.
This experience was highly unprofessional and customer-unfriendly. I would strongly advise the company to review their policies, improve communication, and train their staff in proper customer service. Until significant changes are made, I cannot recommend this service to others.

Scam Agency

I purchased a Bus Tix from Ohrid to Tirana Regional station on 6/7/2024 from Get by Bus. It was very important I get to Tirana REGIONAL as I needed to catch a second bus to Shkoder and the regional station is the only place to catch it and Drita the ONLY operator that offered this route.

The contractor Drita never showed for the 7am departure. I and 2 others were there EARLY and paid the station fee-we have receipts. All 3 of us went to the station attendant at 7:15 after we could not see the bus in the tiny station-who said "Drita often does not show up".

All 3 of us were forced to buy a second set of tix to Tirana INTERNATIONAL on the 8am bus-I have a receipt. because that was only bus that would get us into Tirana early enough to try and catch our connecting buses.

This second bus as mentioned went to a different bus station in Tirana so all 3 of us were FORCED to pay a taxi to get to the Regional station Drita was going to take us too-3 of us had onward bus tickets from the regional station.

When I told Get by Bus this and asked for a refund for the tix for the bus that never came, they immediately took the side of Drita rather than the paying customer who has no reason to lie.

Both Drita and GET BY BUS not only stole our ticket money but cost us a great deal of extra money for the second set of tix, taxi fees, and headaches. We both were hours late to our destination because of them.

It was 39 degrees C in the area that day. Shame on Get by bus for dealing with rogue contractors that steal from tourists visiting and spending money in their country.

ABSOLUTE RUBBISH

I’ve gone to download the ticket for the bus driver to scan to get on the bus and it wasn’t loading. He typed my name into his system and it wasn’t coming up either.
Now I’ve found out that my ticket isn’t valid, it isn’t coming up even when I’ve tried to retrieve the booking on flixbus it says ‘booking not found’..
The money came out of my account when the booking was made..
It’s now cost me double this price to get another ticket at a similar time with an additional cost of luggage and is now taking an additional 2 and a half hours to reach the destination.
