Communication was easy and prompt
Communication was easy and prompt. This was my first purchase and I needed the delivery for a set date. One element of my order was still in Italy and may not have arrived on time. There was no issue about changing it for another which was in stock. Delivery was well tracked and arrived exactly as stated (there were 2 separate drliveries but flat charge). It was much cheaper than I would have paid at home.

Excellent wine at very good price and the whole transaction was so smooth. Very well packaged and they arrived quite quickly. Tracking data was very good. No extra charges for customs etc so now I'm looking forward to trying some more of their wines!. Highly recommended!

Need to revise Delivery service
I love this company but once again I’m giving them a low score due to using the delivery company UPS. Despite them receiving my package last Thursday it still hasn’t not been delivered due to UPS being incompetent at their job. UPS are a logistics company that doesn’t understand addresses or Eircodes which is pretty straight forward, especially if this is what their whole company is based on !
Guys you’re a good company but I beg you to change logistics company. They are letting you down.

Beware if buying for the UK
Beware if buying for the UK. Custom's charges and UPS brokerage fees will cost more than the wine. For example £126.80 for the wine and £149.10 for the unknown charges when ordering. Also UPS as a carrier not good, shipment of two parcels which arrived on different days. All in all avoid if you live in the UK.

Since Brexit, shipments to the United Kingdom may be subject to Import Duty, Excise Duty, VAT and customs clearance fees, which are determined and collected by the UK authorities and the courier on their behalf. These charges are not collected or retained by Garrafeira da Ilha.
We also understand that receiving your parcels on different days added to the inconvenience, and we sincerely regret the overall experience.

Excellent customer service
I experienced several delivery issues, mostly related to the carrier rather than the store. However, I was genuinely impressed by the customer service. João was always professional, kind and very responsive, keeping me informed and resolving every issue quickly and fairly.
The wines have been excellent, and despite the delivery problems, I have always felt well looked after as a customer. Thank you for the great support throughout the whole process.
