The hotel was really nice

The hotel was really nice, the food was also good, servicie also good really friendly personeel and de location from the hotel super good a lot of nature and so quiet. Excellent, only thing I can complain is the swimming pool, is big but the water was cold i have a lot zin in to use it but we used only ones because the water was cold. 😌 the rest everything was super I would come back only fix the water from the swimming pool. Thank u

Comfortable stay

We had a very enjoyable stay at Fletcher Hotel Middleburg. The room was neat and tidy, staff were polite and the breakfast complete. We had a room with an excellent view, however it certainly heated up quickly on a sunny day, which is worth considering if visiting during the warmer months. Overall, a comfortable stay at a great location.

Forewarned is forearmed

I travel regularly for my job. Most of the time is room paid for. Not when I stayed at Fletcher's in Bosschenhoofd op 12-13 juni 2025. Nevertheless I never received an invoice until yesterday. I found one REMINDER 2 (dated 3/10/25) and a SUMMONS FOR PAYING 1 (dated 7/10/25), obviously posted on the same day. Definitely not professional or customer-centered approach. Forewarned is forearmed!

Don't buy a promotional voucher for Fletcher hotels, it is impossible to use it

I bought a hotel voucher for Fletcher hotel in Enschede via an NS promotion, but it is impossible to use it. It has been the most frustrating experience trying to use this voucher, and finding that it is impossible to use it, as it was promoted on the NS website. It should have been very easy, but it was incredibly frustrating and it has made me so angry!
I have complained to Fletcher hotels and NS customer service, but neither will take responsibility for this, or give me a refund for this hotel voucher that I can't use.

Don’t stay here

Absolutely terrible, the room was not clean with stains and holes in the walls.

The pool is only accessible from 8:00 to 9:30 out side of that time you had to pay extra. Advertised a gym but there wasn’t one.

The mattress looks like on from a hospital and across the corridor is a rehabilitation centre. Room didn’t have water or a fridge and only paper cups.
The breakfast was utter s**t.

The shower soaks the hole bathroom with no shampoo.

Very little to no wardrobe space.

It is massively overpriced, poor value and two stars at best.

My stay here was overall a good experience. The staff overall really friendly and helpful. I had dinner on Tuesday, the food in the restaurant was excellent and so was the waiter service. The lady on reception who welcomed me on Tuesday was very professional and the bartender/waiter knew how to make a good cocktail. Only issues were ac units in room, their pipes kept getting loose and there were no options for snacks after 10pm.

Room was super

Beautiful & comfortable stay

Beautiful location and felt like staying in a tree house since the forest is so close. The hiking trail right in front of the hotel is gorgeous and loved exploring. It is far from the city centre, but the bus does come frequently enough (bus stop is a 3-4 min walk right around the corner) to get there in about 45-60 min. Attended a conference at the university and it was doable. I found the distance worth it for the hiking and close distance to German boarder to hike there, too. Room service came every day, and if I had the do not disturb sign on they left fresh towels on the door handle. Comfortable bed and very spacious room. Had a coffee maker and a kettle. My room had a balcony with chairs to sit outside. Blackout curtains worked so well I overselpt thinking it was still nighttime. No AC but with the door open it wasnt too hot. Felt like a 5-star hotel. Staff/reception was very nice. Would absolutely stay here again if I ever am in the area!

Unprofessional front desk and lack of basic knowledge Amersfoort

As a front desk supervisor in another hotel, I know how essential it is to treat guests with professionalism and have a solid understanding of hotel systems. Unfortunately, I had two disappointing experiences at Fletcher Hotel Amersfoort, both involving the same receptionist.

The first time, I asked to provide my credit card so that my restaurant charges could be added to my hotel invoice, including my VAT number. However, the receptionist clearly didn’t know how the system worked and couldn’t process the request so the charges were not added, and I didn’t receive the proper invoice.

The second time, I had to wait 15 minutes at check-in because the receptionist was busy counting coins for the night audit, completely ignoring me as a guest. The next day, I asked for an invoice including my VAT number, but I had accidentally provided the wrong number. I contacted the hotel by email shortly after to ask for a correction, but they refused, claiming it was not possible. I have their response in writing as proof.(4th Jun)

As someone who works with hotel software every day, I know very well that editing a VAT number on an invoice is absolutely possible. Every hotel system supports this. It’s surprising and disappointing to see such a lack of both customer service and basic training.

I expected much better from a hotel chain like Fletcher.
