I can often find a BMD on FMP where it just doesn't 'pop up' on other sites. Its frustrating when you use identical data on both. Not being able to see the actual Baptism, Marriage or Death original... See more

I'm just getting to find my way around FindMypast. I've been told that I would find information about my Irish, Scottish and other ancestry by using this search engine. I hope they are right.

Before my free trial was over, I cancelled my membership. I was still charged for a year of Find My Past. I want a refund but I am still waiting.

Lack of available records. You have nothing on either of my parents. I know what should be there, but there is nothing not even a connection to their parents. Why pay money when I can't get to even known facts on your site.

Finally! Records from Guernsey have allowed me to fill in a lot of blanks.

The 1939 register free access has given detailed information and helpful leads. The way FMP presents a source gives a broad and detailed picture into ancestors lives.
In tough economic times free access is like sunshine on a winters day.

I have always enjoyed the additional facts, and information I discover about my relatives
on your site! Thank you!!

FindMyPast is an excellent source for UK sources and records. The website, however, could definitely use an upgrade in user navigation; which can be quite cumbersome and not intuitive.

I love this site it gives me hints on my relatives that I had no idea that existed

Reply from Findmypast
I am disappointed that the site does not have copies of original records, only transcripts, which can be interrupted wrong.

Well I thought that you could add photos and I tried but was a bit difficult it would be nice if it were simpler to do

It isn’t the easiest site to navigate and I still feel I’m missing something. The site seems to make it difficult edit and delete information on your tree. Plus I have information to verify a fact I have on my tree and I haven’t figured out how to add that fact with my sources.

I use Findmypast for my English, Irish and Scottish research. I have been a member for several years and have not been disappointed at all. Highly recommend.

Generally the hints are very useful but occasionally there are hints that remain hidden because there is no obvious way to associate them. In the 1939 registration my grandparents were working and living apart due to work constraints and appear in different registers. The data is available but there is no obvious way to make a connection hint that is not a correction. After WWII, they resumed living together.

I really love it and its easy to navigate! I wish you could see the tree as a whole instead of in sections.

It was great getting some of the information that FindMyPast had in its archives. My problem with them and the reason for giving them 2 stars is I wasn’t able to find the phone number or a place to cancel my order and order monthly as needed. The took $299.00 out of my account and have ignored my emails and messages. I have to get my bank now to cancel the account. This isn’t the way to do business!! Product doesn’t live up to $299. I would use it occasionally to search out some things, but it’s definitely not a complete archive.

I’m using your app on my iPhone I signed up for one month subscription and I used my Hotmail address and paid on my iPhone with Apple Pay because my iPhone has a different email address it recognise the device email address so won’t let me use the app with my Hotmail account so I’ve wasted £24.99 when I phone customer support it asks me to hold then after a few seconds it hangs up, it’s a complete scam I wonder how many people have lost money in this way.
