I made a call to Julie and asked for certain criteria to be met regarding my apartment. I then visited thirteen times to get a feel for the Village, and how much the activities were frequented. I have been at Lark Hill for 11 months and I am as happy today, as I was when I first arrived. There is a community here, vibrant, and full of life. It feels so safe here too!

My husband and I moved into Lovat Fields in February. From the moment we walked through the door, we could see the difference from many other villages we had viewed. There are so many more facilities, from woodwork shop, to raised beds/massive greenhouse, to gym, events hall with full stage, restaurant, hairdressers and a lovely Bistro and Bar. The Sales process was brilliant, everyone we met made us welcome ( both Staff and Residents) and there were so many activities available. Our apartment is roomy and was refurbished, so looked like new when we moved in. It has truly given my husband a new lease of life and I’ve joined in so many of the wonderful events, both with him and on my own. I’ve also just started volunteering in the Village, which is a great way to meet more lovely people. Best decision we ever made!!

We had known Lovat Fields Village for several years before moving in eight months ago. The information given us about our apartment in advance was accurate and trouble was taken to ensure we were kept informed about our move.
The apartment was well presented, and we had a choice of a variety of size and design from which to choose.
There is a great deal to look forward to in a community of positive minded people with interesting life experiences to share. Many of the residents are able to enhance life by volunteering for different roles for a few hours weekly, enabling us to meet new people and make new friends.
We are able to cook meals in our well-appointed kitchens, buy a snack from the Bistro area, a great place to meet up with others. A well presented meal is available daily in the dining room if that is your choice.
Very pleasant and helpful staff are easy to approach and willing to answer questions or resolve issues.
Set in beautiful and well maintained grounds we find Lovat Fields a great place to continue to enjoy independent living with appropriate assistance where needed.

My Mum and Dad have care provided by the Extra Care staff at Earlsdon Park Retirement Village. We are extremely happy with the care given as staff always go the extra mile. Recently my Dad fell in the flat and after raising the alarm the carers stayed with Dad for over 3 hours while waiting for the emergency services reassuring Dad at all times.
And then recently another of Mums carers noticed a change in Mums constant coughing. She alerted her manager and a doctor was called who diagnosed a crackle on the lung for which antibiotics were prescribed. If left the cough may have worsened so great that the carer was alert to Mums condition and got the prompt action needed.
We are very grateful for the standard of care given by all the staff at Extra Care

We have lived at Lovat Fields for some months now and are really grateful to be here. We feel safe in the privacy of our comfortable flat but there are lots of things we can be doing and learning when we feel like it. The village is close to lovely open air parkland and also within easy reach of the main shopping centre. There is a real accent on community here and we have found both staff and residents friendly and helpful. Downsizing is never easy but we just wish we had come here sooner.

lifts not working and frequent breakdowns, corridor ventilation blowing hot air in searing hot weather this summer 2026 and it’s been like this for last 3 months and roasting frail residents and staff not replying to emails, automatic glass doors open halfway etc. Under no circumstances buy a flat in an extracare village, because service is poor, service charges are extortionate and flat owners partly pay for those who are not owning. Total fiasco of a caring company. Keep off and stay away for your own sake! Beware, you have been warned. Probably the worst care provider in UK 2026

Linda Bunn, the Sales rep., was extremely helpful, especially at times when the process of selling my home hit a few snags along the way.
When I did finally move into Lovat Fields, the team who greeted me, Claire and Wasasna, were very charming and explained all that I needed to know very clearly. Sarah at Reception has also been most helpful and dealt with my enquiries most efficiently.

Having moved to Lovat Fields Retirement Village in March, to give my wife some independence, her condition deteriorated very quickly and she passed away within 6 weeks. The whole Village, it's residence and staff have been incredible. There is lots to get involved in for example a woodwork room that I am using and volunteering in the Bar/Bistro and helping layout the main hall for events that are a regular thing. If I'd been at home I don't think I would have lasted very long. So thank you one and all.

It was a big decision to sell my house where I had lived happily with my husband for 40 years. However, when he passed away I was struggling to cope with the cleaning and maintenance of it as I am disabled. My daughter persuaded me to have a look at the apartments in Longbridge Retirement Village. I am so glad I did. I met the sales manager there, Lynda Williams, who showed me around the site and explained everything about the facilities there. The ExtraCare Charitable Trust owns the site and there were a number of options available to purchase an apartment. I opted for a shared ownership which allowed me to have a more financially comfortable lifestyle. I didn’t have to wait too long for an apartment to become available. Once my deposit was paid I couldn’t wait to move in. Lynda kept me well informed throughout the process. All the facilities and services are included in the rent, including energy bills. There is a bar and restaraunt, a fully fitted gym, a library, a convenience shop, regular evening entertainment with live music, crafts, various keep fit classes, art classes, a regular market and the list goes on. You have company on hand if you want it, but the privacy of your own home when you don’t. The new Longbridge town, where there is a Marks & Spencer’s, Sainsbury’s and many more shops, is a short walk away. The Trust has thought of every detail to make our retirement happy and fulfilled. Every person I have met here are so friendly, and it’s good to know the staff are on hand to help if necessary. There are emergency cords in every room, which is reassuring for me because I am prone to having falls. The apartment is so modern and spacious and easy for me to keep clean. I am so thankful to Lynda and to all the other staff who make our lives easier and more fulfilled every day. Thank you.

As a family moving a parent into this facility, we were very appreciative of the professional way everything was handled.
Lynda is excellent with the communications. Questions in emails were answered quickly and clearly.
Margaret from Housing who gave the induction gave plenty of useful information and advice with humour and flexibility.
The actual move day, (which can be such a stressful time) went very smoothly.
Anyone we came into contact with whether Residents or Staff were friendly, cheerful and welcoming.
The facilities are very well appointed and organised making it the perfect option for a Retiree who will need increased care in years to come. It didn’t take long to feel at home and see the potential for pleasant experiences and happy memories into the future.
Well done to all concerned. We look forward to visiting in the months and years ahead.

I have lived at Solihull Village for 5yrs now, and have loved every minute. The residents are very friendly and I have made many friends. The facilities here make life easy to mix and keep active. I have now become a volunteer and this has made my life more interesting and helps to keep me fit. The staff are excellent and always willing to help.

I have been volunteering at the Earlsdon village for about two and a half years now, after my mum and husband passed away within 5 weeks of each other, I've always worked In a caring profession and been a very busy person, my Daughter who is care supervisor at the village encouraged me to apply to be a volunteer, and I've never looked back since, all the staff treat me like one of the team I work behind the bar In the bistro and do a befriending service to residents that are lonely and housebound. I've made lots of new friends there and I am very much appreciated by the residents and the staff for the work i do there and feel I have a purpose in life and enjoy it so very much. Anne Faulkner.

Welcoming atmosphere and Glenny was most helpful when showing us round Solihull Village. The apartments looked good with fantastic amenities.

We’re only at the start of our journey with Solihull Village, but so far, I am extremely impressed. The facilities are amazing and the staff are all very friendly. Glenny has been really helpful.

This review is prior to taking up residence at St Oswald’s. Based on dealings with staff there whilst awaiting exchange of contracts, etc, we have only found all to be business-like, but friendly and helpful. We have made several visits to our selected apartment but never felt that it was bothersome to those who looked after us. From what we have observed of the premises in general, and communal facilities, they appear to be well kept and clean. We look forward to moving in once all the usual legal side is completed.

I have lived at Solihull Village for five and a half years and have enjoyed every day here. I have a beautiful large bright apartment , equipped to a very high standard with my own front door. The corridors are very spacious with access to the four lifts, three overnight accommodation for family /friends, three assistance bathrooms and the beautiful roof garden. All the corridors and ground floor “village “ are air conditioned with plenty of areas to sit and chat. The facilities here are second to none and include a gym (with an instructor), bistro and bar, hairdresser and beauty parlour, well-being area with qualified staff, library, etc. The Care office is manned 24/7 days a year so assistance is always available, just press your pebble or activate the button in your apartment and help is at hand. Regular Carers are also available but you need to pay extra for those. Maintenance is provided during working hours by our two engineers who keep things ticking over. I can certainly recommend Solihull Village to anyone .

Brilliant staff at the extracare Solihull village and in our experience, they go out of their way to accommodate you. Solihull village is wonderful place with easy excess to a lot of amenities and facilities within the village and outside due to it's location. As trades people who go in on a regular basis , we get a sense of community within the village and we come across residents and staff who always have a friendly smile.
Keep up the good work.
