Our experience of chasing payment for compulsorily purchased IDS shares has been very frustrating. After an initial delay, we chased in January to be told that payment would be made at the end of the month. The person we spoke to took a long time to find our information and made us feel that it was our fault. Have not heard anything since. There has been no explanation, no apology.

I had to contact Equiniti following the death of my Dad and Ajay couldn't have been more helpful.
He located Dad's holding and patiently talked me through all the forms we needed to complete. Honestly, at a time when my stress levels are running high, he really was a very welcome breath of fresh air!
I was on hold for ages waiting to speak to an Advisor but he was absolutely worth the wait! A refreshing change to some of the experiences I've had whilst trying to deal with Dad's affairs - Thank you!

Each department isn't connected. So was on hold for over an hour, got through to their general team who then needed to give me another number to get through to a specialist team. Called the specialist team who then gave me another number to call. No-one could do a direct transfer so went to back of the queue each time. With the third team giving me the number for the original team...

I inherited stock from my father who recently passed. He had physical stock certificate for shares which were held by EQ. I was unable to locate the original shares, which dated back to the 1980's.
In order to sell the shares, I had to file an affidavit for Loss statement, which required a payment of 5% of the total share value. This totaled almost $2,000.
I feel this is unacceptable as a fee.
I processed an identical lost share affidavit through another holding company, Computershare, and I only paid $50 for the same service.
I fully understand paying a fee but 5% of total value is unacceptable.

Sripriya listened to me and understood my struggles and really helped me today. This is the kind of service we all need, to all be treated as individuals and listened too so for that im really grateful.

I have to be honest I spent 3 hours on the phone to 4 different people who either just kept passing me on or giving me different numbers to call, it wasn’t until I was lucky to speak to Ayan Kirmani who was amazing, she not only solved all the problems but also explained everything so I could understand. She did it all in 20mins. I can’t thank her enough as I had hit breaking point by then. So a huge thank you to her.

Trying to speak to an actual human is impossible after a shareholder dies. You can send a question via X (I do not and would NEVER have X as it's run by that vile man). There is no online chat function, no online complaints function. It's constant recorded messages saying they are busy and 'will be with you as soon as they can'. That is a lie. You're just left on hold endlessly. The shareholder can't set up an account as he is dead. Utterly shocking service.
