Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 60 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers frequently struggle to book airport lounges in advance, frequently encountering fully booked slots, unexpected network restrictions, misleading app information, and sudden access denials at airport terminals. Furthermore, people consistently experience entirely unhelpful customer service, ignored refund requests, and wasted annual membership fees due to completely unusable entitlements. Some reviewers were happy with the assistance received, noting that support staff went above and beyond to resolve difficulties. A few other people also felt that certain partner locations successfully provided smooth access, accommodating service, and pleasant complimentary meals during their travels.

DragonPass are a self-serving bunch of charlatans.
How they are allowed to continue operating is a mystery.
Why Barclays are still using them confounds me.
Don’t even consider using D pass. Go to a reputable company (see other reviews).

Over crowded lounges

Most of the lounges are full or over crowded so they don't let you in or they let you in but there is no sitting places available and the queue for the toilet is insane

Mastercard benefit is worthless

Mastercard benefit is worthless. It is supposed to provide free access but I get charged anyway, in USD! The DragonPass lounges are open to everyone now, so “access” is worthless as a benefit. Food is a joke, free drinks OK i guess but the whole experience is depressing. I’ll head to one of the overpriced airport restaurants instead, so I don’t have to eat stale bread and warmed over cheese macaroni.

Tried using it three times

Tried using it three times. First time was told that unless I was flying with that Airline I could not use the lounge.
Second and third time i was told that i was unable to use it because it was lunch time and only those with that airline could use it even though that app showed availability. Wasted an hour walking to the terminal.
I don't mind paying more if it actually worked!

As with most other reviews on here…

As with most other reviews on here bought a dragon pass access to Bristol airport. Went on the site to book and apprently it was full. Yet go onto escape lounges and there is availability if you pay full price. I pay extra to Revolut specifically for the lounge access which is now a pointless benefit.

Pointless and a waste of money

Pointless , can never pre book the lounge . Always booked months and months ahead ! However I’ve seen first hand standing in the queue people who want to pay full price just walking on in , so always space for that .

Benefit I’m paying for with Barclays and a waste of time . Just a con .

Used to be good - pointless now it

Used to be good , is now a pointless benefit. Lounges only take booking from full fee paying customers and keep spaces for them and reject Dragonpass customers face to face and when booking in advance . As a Dragonpass customer, I have been unable to book non busy times 6 months in advance . What used to work well as a benefit, it really doesn’t anymore as clearly Dragonpass customer mix % have dropped in these lounges . When you complain , they also now hide behind the small print now rather than the big bold statements they make up front .

Wouldn’t even give 1 star

Wouldn’t even give 1 star ! Had a booking for 3 people, flight was cancelled, passes not used, they know this, lounge confirmed they haven’t charged dragonpass however dragonpass will not reimburse the 3 passes, they are a bunch of ignorant staff who reply to emails, rude and obnoxious and not at all accommodating

Useless

Useless. Lounges are not accessible: AUH - get in a queue and wait (one-out, one-in); LHR T4 Plaza Prem - no room, we'll call in 2 hrs if any room becomes available; LHR T4 Blush - no access until after 15.30. This scam company needs to be shut down.

Unauthorised Dragon Pass 'Guest' Charges

My wife and I both have Dragon Pass through our bank. The cards have been used many times, sometime pre-booking, often not. We always take them with us to airport lounges. What is really annoying is to later find that our bank account is charged for a lounge guest (£24), even though both of us have shown our cards and the details have been taken. There has been no one else travelling with us. Our complaint is that this is done either by the lounge provider and or Dragon Pass without us being informed of their intention to make a charge. It should be compulsory for the lounge to have evidence that a guest charge has been agreed, as without it this practice seems like a form of attempted theft. Check your bank statements! The money has been refunded but only after making a complaint. This has happened on at least 3 occasions.

Must say this is a real pain where it hurts most !! I used to be able to visit lounges at any time and with every flight, now with Dragon, I get refused often due bookings or times .. I’m sitting in Paris for two hours and cannot enter with my dragon pass, because it only opens for us at 17:30 it’s now 14;05 … pathetic !!!

Approach to complaints and staff attitude

Submitted a complaint about quality and availability of food and drink during a recent lounge visit. Complaint rejected as 'Dragonpass responsibility is to faciltate access to the lounge', they do not acept responsibility of any issues whilst in the lounge. So basically a waste of time complaining, even though the dragonpass website has an FAQ on making complaints about issues at lounges!! Dragon Pass Customer services agent was condescending when informing me the complaint we being rejected.

Great experience at Manchester terminal…

Great experience at Manchester terminal 2, the staff were really helpful and attentive. I know Manchester is notoriously difficult to get in the lounge without booking so this was a pleasant surprise. Everywhere else I travel in the world it’s always easy to get in, from Dubai, Frankfurt, to Hong Kong. Wouldn’t want to travel without lounge access.

Charging for guest have been informed there would be no charge.

My wife and I have a dragon pass through our bank. We were informed at the Cape Town airport that no charge would be made if we went in with our three children and on that basis we used the lounge. I have just received a bill for £72 and I am outraged. All they can say is they don’t own the lounges and refuse to refund the money.
