Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 60 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers frequently struggle to book airport lounges in advance, frequently encountering fully booked slots, unexpected network restrictions, misleading app information, and sudden access denials at airport terminals. Furthermore, people consistently experience entirely unhelpful customer service, ignored refund requests, and wasted annual membership fees due to completely unusable entitlements. Some reviewers were happy with the assistance received, noting that support staff went above and beyond to resolve difficulties. A few other people also felt that certain partner locations successfully provided smooth access, accommodating service, and pleasant complimentary meals during their travels.

Truly Truly Awful - DO NOT GET AS PART OF A PACKAGE FROM THE BANK

Truly Truly Awful - DO NOT PAY for this benefit, as there is non. This company needs investigating and I will be collating all the reviews to substantiate this complaint much higher.
I have had my package with Barclays for 10 years. I have paid a considerable sum for this and year after year, unable to book a lounge. Now being disabled it matters more than ever and still unable to book.

I listened to their customer service and they told me that dates are available 6 months in advance. So, based on this I went through everyday of those 6 months working backwards and I was unable to book 1 slot. This is an absolute scam! The banks are mis-selling this and their fall back is the terms and conditions to get out of it. Well I am afraid, you are going to have to explain more than just T&C's.

They replied to say today my complaint won't be upheld because their terms and conditions say subject to availability. The number of negative reviews on here say that something is a miss and they need investigating.

I am super frustrated with this…

I am super frustrated with this company. It's not easy to use and then I called in customer service they don't have any solution for the issue. I even got charged about $81 for international call when I called the customer without any warning about the calling fee. OMG I wish I can vote negative start to vote for them. Stop wasting money for this such a scam company

I wish there was a ZERO Star Review

Oh: I wish there was a Zero Star
Dragon Pass are a complete scam; as is pointed out by many other revisers (95% 1 star reviews)
I took out a Barclays Credit Card, one of the 'Benefits' was Dragon Pass Premium +. What a waste of time.
My wife and I travelled trough Singapore, we had a delay and decided to use the Dragon Pass. We believed that we had at least one (if not 1+ one guest) so went to The Plaza Premium Lounge.
On arrival we showed the agent the QR code on my app and specifically informed her we only wanted to use the Lounge if there were no further costs. After taking my phone to check the app the agent printed a completely illegible piece of paper, said we could use the lounge for no more then 2 hours and pointed for us to go in. St no point was I told there was a charge and at no point was I asked to authorise a payment. So we assumed that no charge was being taken. The lounge was less than average. But we were tied and just wanted some piece and quite.
On returning to London and receiving my August Statement I note a charge of £41.00 has been placed against my Barclay's Credit Card.
I have today phoned both Dragon Pass and Barclays. Both companies say there is nothing they can do. Having read some of the many 1 star reviews about Dragon Pass ( while waiting for them to answer the phone) I see that they seem to treat most of their customers with contempt, so don't expect much help from them. I was right.
Barclays on the other hand! A main stream UK Bank.
They also say there is nothing they can do. I explained that
1. I was not told there was a charge.
2. I was not informed of what the charge was.
3 I did not authorise a payment.
I not sure this complies with UK Law.
For Barclays to partner with such a disreputable company such as Dragon Pass seems incongruous.
Don't be sucked in to using Dragon Pass, there is nothing of good about it or its Lounges.
Do not take a Credit Card that offers Dragon Pass as a benefit; its a rip off. Shame on Barclays for offering it.

What an absolute scam

What an absolute scam.
Third time this year, Manchester Airport terminal two not available to press book lounges, so six further passes have had to be purchased separately via different companies.
Even November is unavailable (booking in May)
Full but not full... The lounges were not full.
Do not purchase Barclays extras... The Dragon pass is useless.

Dragon Pass does not work.

Dragon Pass does not work.
I’m not sure what the problem is, but doesn’t appear to be accepted.
There is a dragon pass portal to pre book, but always says lounge full. The lounge will of course allow you to book and pay. How can we book if the lounge is full?
This feels like a scam.

Update: customer service was great after posting here

Update: customer service reached out to me after I posted here and provided not only reinstatement of the passes that we couldn’t use but also a refund of the reservation fee which was a pleasant and unexpected surprise. As such, I feel like customer service exceeded my expectations and have changed my rating from one star to four stars. Not five stars because it would have been nice to have been allowed to use the lounge passes when I called from the airport or after the first two emails I sent - as in, during our trip! I hope we travel somewhere else before the passes expire.

Original review:
Very unhappy with this company. We paid reservations for 4 people not realizing the website uses a military 24 hour clock so we booked for 3:15 AM instead of PM. Clearly an accident and the lounge attendant suggested contacting DragonPass to get them to reinstate the passes but DragonPass refused to do so meaning we lost the reservation fee and the lounge passes and got nothing. Horrible customer service and I will be cancelling our membership. Do not use this company - robbing people of benefits and money for no service.

Needs improvements

Would be less than 1 star,if available!!.My husband and I travelled from Cardiff airport recently, and visited the lounge.Told to come back in 10 minutes, even though not busy,it WAS 4:30in the morning. We were eventually admitted.my husband asked for a portion of mixed fruit, which consisted of 4 grapes and an apple, was told if we had been there the day before
he could have had a banana!!!There were 2 ladies on duty, not very welcoming, and I wouldn't say they were rushed off their feet, all in all not a pleasant experience. Dragon pass members deserve better.we have paid this through Barclays for many years.Needs improvements.

Nothing short of robbery

Pre-booked 3 places in a lounge at Heathrow but then realised it was the wrong date. I cancelled the booking with 48 hours notice as per their terms and they refused to refund the unused passes despite me making a formal complaint. Rude and arrogant 'customer service' staff.

UPDATE: after reading my review, DragonPass have now re-reviewed my complaint and credited back the 3 passes.

Unethical and borderline illegal

Unethical and borderline illegal. You pay for a pass and them they tell you it’s full and you can’t come in. I asked them what I paid for if it isn’t entry to the lounge and they couldn’t even answer. Worse still is they won’t refund me because I didn’t make a claim within 14 days. I was ****** abroad! How could I? They have a proper scam going on here.

Their fair usage policy is a scam!.

Their fair usage policy is a scam!.. or the guys operating the program are!
Two days ago, I was at Sabiha Airport in Istanbul.
Used my card at the lounge. After about two hours, the internet stopped working due to a power issue... waited 15 mins and every minute they said "coming..."
I mainly use lounges for internet access.
Had to move to another lounge, then found $32 taken out without any warning or notification that I would be charged.
Wrote them an email, elaborated the main reason for the move, and complained about not being warned.
Got an answer from someone named Benigne who said they understand the reason for moving but simply can't refund the money :D
How nice — scam program.
Everyone should be careful of their scam policy of "fair usage," which doesn't clearly say you will be charged!

Yet another UK scam company

Happy to take your money for passes but don't tell you that the lounges put you at the bottom of the list when they are busy. You do get the privilege of going on an imaginary waiting list which will probably tell you, you can enter the lounge 10 mins after your flight takes off

low-budget pantomime,

There were four of us – blissfully unaware we were about to walk into a low-budget pantomime, starring your very own Miss Trunchbull at the front desk. The only thing missing was the chokey.

We’d just wrapped up an amazing trip and thought we’d treat ourselves to a final bit of calm: a few drinks, a snack, some good conversation before our journey home.
What we got instead was:

– 15 minutes of standing at the desk while Trunchbull processed our very existence with all the enthusiasm of a sloth on strike.
– A drink we barely had time to sip.
– A stale sandwich so dry I think it blinked at me.
– And the genuine threat of police involvement – because we dared to sit.

Now look, we weren’t expecting caviar. But we did think £39 would cover more than one drink, a crusty triangle of sadness, and the thrill of being ejected like it was last orders in a Wetherspoons.

At no point were we told the lounge would be closing in 30 minutes. Not verbally. Not in writing. Not with smoke signals. When we asked, we were told there had been a sign — but, and I quote, “It must’ve blown away.”

Let me be clear:
There. Was. No. Wind.
There was barely airflow. The only thing breezy was her attitude.

At 9:50pm, barely 30 minutes after we’d arrived (and 15 of that spent standing), we were told we had to leave. Not finish up. Not wind down. Just leave. One of us was in the loo. The rest of us were mid-giggle. But apparently, her shift ended at 10 and that was that.

When we questioned this, she threatened to call the police.
Over sandwiches.
Honestly, it felt less like a business lounge and more like the dress rehearsal for Trunchbull: The Musical – a one-woman show with absolutely no encore.

Had we known we were paying for the express experience, we would’ve made it count – double sandwiches, triple drinks, photos for the scrapbook. Instead, we were marched out like naughty children overstaying their welcome in detention.

So to sum up:

– £156 spent.
– 30 minutes of use (if you count standing time).
– 1 stale sandwich.
– 0 signs.
– And an Oscar-worthy performance in passive-aggression.

Thank you for the lesson in how not to run a lounge – and the comedy gold we’ll be dining out on long after that sandwich finally goes off.

Yours with deep disappointment (and crumbs)

Worst customer service ever

I had problems loading apps ad registering. The website set up is confusing ad generally hopeless. Customer service is deplorable, they just refer you back to the issuing bank. I referred back to my bank who tried their best to resolve problem but ultimately failed, after 30 minutes on the phone, Big thumbs down for this lot.

Don't do it!

No previous mention that you pay to stay 2 hours when you clearly booked for 5. You are told that you can re-enter for another 2 hours based on availability but, of course, the system refuses you. Inside, USB sockets don't work and it's noisy - children screaming, people arriving and leaving, staff knocking to get people out. Spend your money elsewhere- it's a rip off!

I have been a Barclays member of dragon…

I have been a Barclays member of dragon pass for many years, I had no problem getting into the vip lounge until 3 years ago. It used to be possible to pay extra £5 to book in before you fly, not anymore. Bristol last year we had a problem, we tried to get into the lounge in Cardiff airport on the 8th June ( 4 ladies) the first question was are we with dragon pass, I said yes and was told they were full, we went back and asked if we could use the lounge, was told to come back in 10 minutes ( the receptionist didn’t ask if we were dragon pass) when we returned the lounge was empty, my daughter asked for a coffee and a gin and tonic , the waitress ( short woman looked as if she was chewing a wasp) said she could only take her order for one thing, so we all ordered gin and tonics, about 15 minutes later she came back for our food order, once again my daughter ordered potato skins and a quiche, she said she could only order one thing at a time, so we ordered the potato skins and then had to wait to order 4 quiches , we had 2 further round of drinks , but the food didn’t come on time ,they gave it to us in bags to take on the plane. If you booked and paid full price you could order what you wanted all together, this is a complete disgrace, ( we knew people in the lounge and they were laughing in disbelief) if these lounges don’t want dragon pass customers there should be a notice up NO DRAGON PASS. There was one lovely young girl there long blond hair she was the only one that gave us respect, all of the others should not be working in hospitality they were a disgrace

Worthless - Lounges not allowing DragonPass Members access.

Worthless - increasingly Lounges exclude Dragonpass for most of the Day (i.e you can't even book, and they won'y let you in unless you've booked) - Bristol, Toronto and many others.

I travel frequently and this is SO frustrating. I contacted them but the DragonPass agent seemed too thick to understand the situation. All they say is that they do not set the policy and it's the lounges' fault.

Well, I shall spell it out. If you sell a service and a promise of the benefit of that service, then when the lounges refuse your members - the service you are selling is worthless, disingenuous, and possibly bordering on fraudulent

Unable to use Dragon passed bought from Revolute

Hi I purchased 3 Dragon passes via Revolute app on the 18th of April 2025 to use at London Luton AirPort on the 09/06/2025, when I got to the lounge the passes wouldn’t open so I couldn’t use them!

I contacted Revolute and requested a refund as I couldn’t access the passes and was told I couldn’t have a refund as their policy doesn’t allow for refunds after 14day following purchase. I stated the under UK law that as the passes wouldn’t open so I could use these they where clearly not of Merchantable Quality and that I was entitled to a full refund!

No response from Revolute disgusting I’ve been a metal account holder for many years but I don’t think for much longer!
