The cleaning was usually done to an acceptable standard, but I used eMop because they claimed to background/CRB check the cleaners.
I had two different cleaners accept bookings on different days and the same cleaner turned up for both. Neither booking had been reassigned. When I questioned eMop about this they said they would investigate. They asked the cleaners if they turned up to their own bookings and they said yes. Case closed! Except they definitely didn't because as I said, the same individual cleaned both times.
I can’t be sure who turned up to clean my home because they didn't match the name on the booking, and can't have any confidence that that individual was checked because they showed up instead of the verified eMopper. eMop have not taken this seriously.
To reply: As I said, I already contacted customer support. On Nov 2 they said they were awaiting feedback from one of the cleaners and I haven't heard back since. It's fine, I've found a different cleaning service to use in future.

I’m absolutely disappointed with the service I received from EMOP, a company whose behavior I can only describe as unprofessional and disappointing. My experience with them was frustrating from start to finish, and I feel compelled to share my experience to help other customers make an informed decision.
I booked a 6.30-hour deep clean with EMOP for an end-of-tenancy clean for my small studio flat (238 sq. ft.), costing me £175. I expected a thorough job for this price, but the service was shockingly subpar. The cleaner arrived 15 minutes late, adding stress to my tight schedule. Worse, he came unprepared, lacking essential tools, which led to several corners being cut. For example, the floor tiles were left with a streaky, dull finish, and the wall stain removal I specifically requested was ignored, even after I reminded him. By the end of the 6.30 hours, the place was far from the end-of-tenancy standard it should have reached. I am now left to clean it myself before moving out—an unacceptable outcome, especially given the premium price.
What was equally, if not more, upsetting was the company’s response to my complaint. I requested a refund due to the inadequate service, only to be contacted by their complaint manager. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, I was asked to remove my negative review to receive my refund. This coercive approach—essentially withholding a refund until a negative review is removed—is not only unacceptable but also deeply unprofessional.
I did temporarily remove my review, feeling I had little choice if I wanted my money back (money I now discovered to be a lousy £20). Such tactics reflect poorly on EMOP and go against fair business practices. I hope my review can help others avoid a similarly disappointing experience with this company.

Company is a scam, Save your money and don’t use this service. Really unprofessional business, they don’t care about their clients and it’s never to a high standard most likely don’t care about their employees. Like untrained people just rocking up to a property and doing as they please. Plenty of cleaning services out there that are not a waste of time such as this one!

I had a deeply frustrating experience with eMop's end-of-tenancy cleaning service. We booked a clean at the end of September (ref. 345909), expecting professional standards that would satisfy our landlord. Instead, the service was so poorly executed that our landlord had to hire another cleaner, costing us over £200 in additional charges. I recognise that this is not the fault of eMop but their complaints procedure is appalling.
When I reached out to eMop’s support team to address the poor cleaning and request a refund, I was met with a complete lack of accountability. Their response leaned heavily on a 48-hour complaints policy, which is absurd given the nature of end-of-tenancy cleans. It is common knowledge that landlords’ check-out reports often take more than 48 hours to be completed and shared, and yet eMop’s policy is rigidly structured to dodge any form of responsibility. I explained that we only received the check-out report from our landlord weeks later—something entirely out of our control—eMop offered £15 in credit as a “gesture of goodwill.” Credit for a service that I am never going to use again and would certainly not recommend to anyone.
I have written back a number of times in the past 2 weeks but had no response whatsoever, except receiving a separate email offering me a further 15% off a future clean with eMop (which had to be used within 14 days!)
I was initially persuaded to try eMop based on the positive reviews highlighting their supposedly responsive and understanding customer service. Unfortunately, that couldn’t be further from my experience. If you’re considering using eMop based on claims of excellent customer support, be warned: their service policies seem designed to protect themselves rather than the customer, and their approach to resolving issues is deeply disappointing.

I recently hired a cleaning service for a £240 end-of-tenancy clean. Despite the cleaners being advertised as 'professionals', several areas, including cabinets, headboards, shower glass, and doors, were left unclean. This was despite being explicitly included in my cleaning request.
Customer service was contacted, but the issue wasn't fully resolved, as not all areas were cleaned. To make matters worse, the cleaners accidentally broke my rented Smeg microwave.
As a result, I lost £300 from my security deposit, bringing the total cost of the cleaning and damages to around £540. I could have achieved a better result and avoided the breakage by cleaning myself.
The company's inadequate response was to offer a mere £100 refund and suggest I pursue the remaining amount from the cleaners directly, an unreasonable expectation.

Job number #290785
I requested an end of tenancy cleaning and every thing was wrong ! Starting with the poor quality of the service for which I had to order and pay for re cleaning. Then there was damaged items in the property and when I contacted the site about these things there declined a refund for either claiming that I reported these issues late (a fact that is not true since I contacted them w e mail within few days of the job and I have all the e mails to proof it) very poor service and even worse customer care.

I recently booked a 'Deep Clean' with Emop and was extremely disappointed from start to finish.
The website is hard to use, and there's no way to know which cleaner is coming or to check their ratings beforehand. Reporting bad service is nearly impossible—no response to the feedback form, making it feel like customer concerns are ignored. There’s also no clarity on whether you need to provide cleaning supplies. After using this company twice, we’ll never use them again.
The cleaner was friendly and on time, but the results were terrible. It seemed like they had no idea what they were doing. They used toilet paper to clean surfaces, leaving crumbs everywhere, and used the wrong products on different surfaces, which could have caused damage. The house felt dirtier after they left, and we had to redo most of the work ourselves.
While the price was under £20 per hour, the quality reflected that. I strongly advise against using Emop if you want a professional clean

It has been an awesome experience working for eMop. My first 4 jobs I executed for the company boosted my confidence as a good cleaner seeing my clients happy and well satisfied with my work. The organization of the company and how it operates is of highest standard and I must commend the company for all efforts put in to make the platform a very successful one. I so much believe I have a lot to offer to the company to boost its work force. My special regards to Nelisha who recruited me as she has given me an opportunity to be in my area of work expertise.

I recently had an unexpected issue with the Emop platform when my phone's wet screen caused me to accidentally accept a job offer with an unsuitable schedule. Panicked, I quickly cancelled the acceptance, only to discover a £40 fine had been incurred.
Fortunately, when I reached out to Emop's support team to explain the circumstances, they demonstrated remarkable flexibility and understanding. After reviewing my case, they kindly waived the fine, showing a willingness to listen and adapt to unforeseen situations.
I'm impressed by Emop's commitment to customer satisfaction and their ability to balance rules with empathy. This experience has reinforced my trust in their platform and services. Thank you, Emop, for your understanding and support.

My tenants paid emop for a professional end of tenancy clean. I always recommend tenants pay for a professional cleaning service rather than clean themselves because it ensures nothing is missed. Emop charged 430£ for an 800 square foot flat (including upholstery). Unfortunately, the service from emop was slapdash and very disappointing. To check the quality of the clean and clean everything that had been missed cost myself and the tenant 7 hours of labour. I wish I had just asked the tenants to clean the flat themselves because I expect they would have cleaned it to a higher standard.
A summary of everything that was missed (pictures of a few attached):
– a streak of sauce on the inside of a kitchen cupboard
– top of fridge and kitchen cupboards not cleaned and covered in grease.
- remnants of food and debris down the side of the fridge because no one had bothered to move it and clean around it
– only the bottom half of the kitchen blinds cleaned
- kitchen window sill and shelf above cooker not cleaned and covered in dust, debris And grease
- drip tray in fridge not cleaned
- Windows throughout the flat not cleaned
- throughout the flat that had been little/no attempt to move furniture and clean underneath/ behind it
- bathroom blinds not cleaned
- two chest of drawers in two of the bedrooms had not been cleaned and there was dust/debris in the drawers
- tv brackets and rear of TVs not cleaned and covered in dust
– radiators not cleaned
- parts of skirting board not cleaned

I booked eMop for an end-of-tenancy clean, and we got our full deposit back! 🥳 I was very impressed with the clean, and the cleaners put a lot of effort in.
I had one issue with being charged more than I should have for cleaning overtime -- I was very worried that the customer service team would ignore me or not want to help me with my claim, however, they communicated very well and helped resolve the issue efficiently. I left feeling happy with the service and I would definitely book with eMop again in the future.
