A catalogue of botches
A catalogue of botched measurements, repeated delays in installation, leaving us without a kitchen for two weeks, and a botched installation at a price of EUR 29.553.
When the kitchen installation was declared to be complete, we were left with a cupboard shelf with only three supports instead of four, a missing hinge cover, and a missing skirting cap for the kitchen unit.
As a cherry on the cake, the supposedly "fitted" cupboards were left with a 1 cm gap on each side.
After three weeks of internal rumination, Eigenhuis Keukens announced that they would do nothing to correct the faults beyond sending a replacement part for the missing skirting cap, a response my aannemer described as "despicable".
When the missing skirting cap arrived for me to fit, it turned out to be silver. The rest of the skirting is black.
A lawyer has advised me that I have grounds to pursue a claim for compensation against Eigenhuis Keukens, something that I am considering.
