I ordered a poncho directly from their website showing a picture of the one I want. They sent me the wrong color, it's a nice poncho - just NOT what I ordered!!! - I emailed the company and they would never admit to sending me the wrong color - even after I sent pictures along with SKU numbers. They even said it was a trick color where some see it one color and others another color - WHAT??!! I asked at least 10 people what color they saw and we all agreed on the same color. To return - I will have to pay the shipping for return and they would inspect it for perfection. Quite frankly I do not trust this company and will never do business with them again. I should have known better when I didn't see ANY bad reviews. It isn't realistic - lesson learned.

Just wanted to clear up the previous reviews saying they thought it would have the Aztec pattern on the Aztec lightweight poncho hood. As the photos depict, the poncho comes in two styles, a solid black hood or the same Aztec pattern as on the poncho body. I asked in the comments section during my order for the Aztec pattern on the hood, and it came with it. And it’s super warm and soft despite being lightweight, I’d recommend just asking for your preferred style if the pattern is what you want. Great company thank you guys!
Edited review: I ordered several ponchos to give as gifts and was shocked by the coarseness of the llama wool fabric and the intense smell of lanolin oil on the ponchos. After communicating with Daniel from Ecualama's customer service line, I received some advice on how to remove the smell and also received store credit with instructions to select ALPACA wool as these products are soft to the touch and don't contain lanolin. I appreciate the excellent customer service and only refrain from a five star review because the product descriptions of the llama wool products is misleading.

I recently made a blanket purchase from Ecualama. The quality is decent, quite warm and has a nice design. There was a bit of hassle with the order process initially, but their customer service quickly resolved it, which was commendable. Shipping took quite a while and involved some complications, especially for international buyers. Overall, the product is good but the experience had its ups and downs.

I have bought two beautiful Ponchos and a blanket for gifts. The blanket is the softest you ever touched, I will give that to my new grand niece.
They are all three of the best hand woven quality you'll ever find from Central America.
These blankets are so nice. Soft and beautiful. We got 4 blankets for Christmas gifts and it's a big winner.
The products I have ordered have been of good quality and arrived faster than if shipped in U.S. I would not be afraid to order from them again.
Lovely poncho - just as pictured and so soft. Quick delivery and nice little extras in the box like chocolate and eucalyptus leaves. My husband has two, and I just bought two, and they are our favorite things to wear in the chilly Northwest.
I’m currently wearing a Pancho bear chested the natural fibers are comfortable and warm.
I have bought two others as gifts. I will be buying two more as gifts in the future.
I have all praise for these products.
Thank you

Fantastic, loved every single item and they will all be treasured and valued for the absolute pieces of art they are. You raised a lot if good people’s vibrations this week i hope you know all the good you bring the world with these bad larrys, hopefully emily loves her scarf i’m sure she will! Wish me luck, happy holidays to you and yours!
I have purchased three ponchos and four blankets, for gifts, to my family and myself. They are beautiful , soft and warm. The service has been great.
I have been shopping with this company for a couple of years now. We have 2 blankets and 5 ponchos from them. All extremely nice quality, not itchy and like this strange perfect blend of not hot but not cold. These are our main blankets. Ponchos have been warn around a bit and we get stopped and asked about where they are from a lot. Durability is great. They always include nice little extras like chocolate or some gloves ir something. We will definitely keep adding to our collection.
I ordered a poncho, and when it came, the stitching on the hood was just all messed up with no care to make it look good, and the fabric would fray and made me nauseous from the smell. I understand that it’s hand made, and it’s genuine alpaca wool, but for the $120 that I spent, I would expect a much higher quality
I wasn’t to upset about his because I thought I could just return it but after reaching out to ecualama, I realized that they make it as difficult as possible to return it.
I have to pay for shipping which is going to be $310 through the same postal service that they used. Which I KNOW FOR A FACT they didn’t pay the same because the shipping label has the incorrect weight, size, and price of the package to make it cheaper. I cannot afford to also lie because if something goes wrong, I wouldn’t get my package refunded or maybe even shipped by the shipping company.
This product is nowhere near worth the money, it is much better just to go to Amazon, they have better quality and much better security for your purchase. NEVER BUYING FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN
This review better not get deleted I am a real customer with a real serious issue.

Quick shipping and the quality of the product is amazing!
Really nice Pancho, comfortable as a couch blanket too. Delivered quickly.
I love the blanket, so soft and colors and pattern are beautiful. Shipment also was so fast. You guys rock!
