The help and support I was given @ The Ashley Hub, made a very stressful time for the user and myself all a little bit easier.
The staff showed compassion and thoughtfulness all of the time

Working with Katie (ECL Community Connecter) has been amazing for me, everything has worked and is working extremely well. I always feel supported and cared for. My needs are listened to and respected which is a huge thing for me, so it makes me feel super comfortable in the hands of Katie’s support knowing she will take action when bringing up things I need.

ECL have been a massive help with finding me employment, with the standout individual being Melanie Johnson. From letting me know of opportunities that I would probably miss, to helping me optimise my CV for different job roles. From offering moral and interview support, assisting with job applications and offering get togethers where I was able to better learn how to work within the current job market.
Without ECL It would be fair to say that I would have had a much harder time with things.

I have mild autism. I currently work at Odeon Cinema in Chelmsford which ECL have helped me apply for the job. Caroline supported me for a while and made sure there was some reasonable adjustments for my interview which really helped my confidence and she has helped me get settled back into a work environment along with a few other job coaches at ECL which I’m forever grateful for! Having autism and finding work is not the easiest thing in the world but I’m so happy that it turned out to be a success thanks to Caroline and a few others who have stood by me for a good while! I’ve been working at Odeon for 18 months now and I love my job there!

My work coach Hannah has been brilliant at helping me find and manage suitable jobs that I otherwise would not have found due to my autism. Since our first meeting I have gained experience and support with CVs and interviews, and have secured both volunteer roles to boost my CV and confidence. As a result I have secured a part time job while we continue to look for full time roles. They have been extremely friendly and supportive, and a great help in finding jobs.

I am supporting a young Adult and have referred him to ECL. I attended the screen with they Young person. This was a positive experience for him and has now been accepted for further support. Both workers showed understanding and empathy and remained professional as well as very personable though out the process.

I cannot praise the services of ECL enough. When my son qualified, he was seen, and allocated his Employment Consultant Caroline quickly. They met up every week, and Caroline was extremely attentive, gave good easy to understand advice, had a friendly approachable attitude, and was very supportive. She was always on the end of the phone, email, or text. She was also a support to me. By the time my son qualified for help, we'd been looking for employment for nearly 5 months, and I was beginning to flounder on how best to support him. She was a lifeline to me. My son has just got a job, and the support carries on in the workplace if he wants it to.

I was having great trouble looking and interviewing for jobs and was referred to ECL, they have been so incredibly supportive and my consultant Erika has been truly amazing in my journey to employment. After over 2 years of unemployment and many failed interviews they helped me regain my confidence and offered me some very valuable feedback on areas to improve.
With their help and support I have been offered an amazing role and I am feeling more confident than ever to get back into work!

Katie Connolly has been great and very supportive of the work and helping to to find work
Amazing company! My son who has a learning disability used ECL’s Inclusive Employment Service. He had been out of work for 3 years and lost all confidence and self esteem due to discrimination in his previous employment. ECL’s Inclusive Employment Service support has been outstanding offering my son support from looking for work, supporting him in the interview and supporting him in the workplace by providing him with a support worker when he was successful in securing a job. Even after a person has settled in their new job ECL will always be available for the person to contact if any issues were to arise. I Wished ECL’s Inclusive Employment service had been around 18 years ago at the beginning of my son’s journey into the world of employment I’m sure he would have had a much happier and fairer time.
