I want to say a profound thank you to Diane, Kingdom and the whole team at ECL. The assistance given and still being given to my son and to the whole family is beyond fantastic. Since we met at my son’s College, they have always looked out for his best interest Always feeding back to us and ensuring my son is well cared for and given opportunities to be able to become someone of pride to himself and family despite his disability.
Now working at Amazon, a job opportunity that Jake would have lost if not for Kingdom advocating for him, Diane is constantly making sure he is supported in all the ways he could be. I could go on and on about their immense support, but will end by saying that they do more than their job required. They go beyond and provide the specific support my son and his colleagues each need daily. I am grateful and only God can repay their efforts. Once again THANK YOU.
The ECL day centre team are wonderful. They are all so warm and welcoming, and for my mum who has Dementia the centre is just what she needs, with activities and crafts and games that keep her mind engaged and she enjoys the company of all the kind staff and other visitors. Well done to everyone, you’re doing a terrific job.

We met with Louise Simpson at
ECL today regarding support for my son, Freddie, and the experience was extremely positive. Louise was very attentive, kind, and genuinely understanding. She immediately put Freddie at ease, using a light-hearted and friendly approach that helped him feel comfortable and listened to.
Louise took the time to clearly explain what care and support would look like if Freddie is successful in accessing support through ECL, ensuring everything was easy to understand and tailored to his needs. She was patient, reassuring, and very professional throughout.
Overall, it was a really positive experience, and we both came away feeling informed, supported, and hopeful. Thank you to Louise and ECL for such a thoughtful and compassionate approach.

I attended Crafty Drama’s show Scrooge on 5th December 2025. The show was fantastic, everyone was included. From not so abled to very abled, everyone got to take part. The customers really enjoyed themselves. The staff are brilliant and encourage everyone. I’ll definitely be attending next year!

My experience with ECL (Felicity) was great! She helped me motivate myself in applying and helping me with my CV. Been supporting me with applying and what to say, which is really useful. Now I have a job that I absolutely love, all thanks to her! She’s a lovely person! Thank you.

I met felicity as she took over from Neil, she is amazing, she has helped me with job searching as well as tina, she did interview prep with me with the job I currently have. It will be sad she is leaving the team. She would ring me in the evening if I ever had a bad or tearful day. I will miss her in the new year. Hope she goes on to fo great thing in the future. She has been amazing to know and be one of her customers.

I am next of kin for a 96yr old very close friend who has no family and up until recently was able to live independently. Following a hospital admission it was clear she would need social care in discharge. An assessment was carried out detailing 3 visits a day ( with a friend calling every day for a lunch visit as well)
It was agreed that she needed help with washing , dressing, meals and medication morning and evening . The lady has cognitive delay and although she is still able to make some decisions, she does not recall if she has eaten or washed or if she needs to put on clean clothes. One of the carers is kind attentive and very good the others are definitely NOT. Over the last few days my friend has been wearing the same dirty clothes ,she doesn't appear to have been encouraged to wash/ shower and not one evening meal ( microwave meal) has left the fridge for 4 nights !!!!! She may not eat them but they should be cooked ,put on a plate and given to her on a tray!!! I guarantee she will eat at least some . I am disappointed that I had to call the man who did the assessment for the 2nd time today as this also happened last week.

Since day one of Wendy from ECL working with my son he has received an incredible amount of support. She always goes above and beyond to find him opportunities and to encourage his growth and skills. He has grown in so many ways through his experience working with her-we have seen him approach situations with much more confidence and open up to different possibilities. Wendy has always supported Jack in a mindful way which has shown a perfect balance of understanding and encouragement. We are very grateful to Wendy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Elaine and Caroline of the Inclusive Employment section of the Maldon Branch were excellent at helping David, my uncle, into work. They worked closely with him to find the ideal role. When he found a job they attended to ensure that he fitted in well and helped with bus routes etc. They also helped with communication with the employer and helping them understand his needs. It is no surprise that ECL have won awards for this service. Thank You!!

My mum started going to ECL in Loughton for one day a week earlier this year. She was initially really nervous about attending, but Oliver and the team were so welcoming, and quickly put her at ease, making her feel so comfortable that she now goes three times a week. The team are caring, engaging and fun, and keep everyone busy with different activities like quizzes, games, dancing, baking and crafts, and they regularly organise trips to the pub for lunch or visits to local museums and events, to break things up. Everyone, including the carers, are made to feel like they are part of the extended ECL family and the centre is now like my Mum’s second home. At one point, she said that she would happily just move in there, if they’d let her, so that speaks volumes! I honestly can’t recommend the day centre and the team enough. They are all fab, and I don’t know what we’d do without them now!

I have been greatly impressed by the Day centre and all its staff at Torrington Drive Loughton. From the first time I met the manager Oliver he was so helpful and friendly. He is dedicated to caring for people and making a comfortable safe environment for them. My mother who first started going in August this year is 96 and really enjoys her days spent at the centre. They have a wide and interactive range of activities but it is not robotic and scheduled. The centre is very homely and I know my mum is benefiting from attending. My mum always tells me how all the staff are so kind and attentive. I remember Oliver saying how he believes everyone should be respected and valued and I think this principle seems to make the whole team work well .It is so difficult to make decisions for elderly parents but I feel this day centre certainly was a lucky find. Many thanks Paula.
