Failed to deliver on promises. Waiting for more than year, there still is no estimated shipping date.

The last update said they can't afford the shipping cost increase due to Covid, so we have to wait until the costs come back down.

Alexander Gomez is on a three-month vacation in Hong Kong while Matthew Thompson lies to and insults the backers that wanted to make this project possible. "Overpromise and underdeliver" would apply if they had actually made any progress in the past two years. Now they're stealing more money by charging additional shipping for backers to receive their cases, but the cases aren't even assembled and won't be until well into February or March.

This is a giant scam. Matt Thompson and Alexander Gomez are both scammers.

I've backed several projects on Kickstarter and Indiegogo but the Dune case has been the biggest disaster I've been a part of.

Dune has consistently over-promised and under-delivered throughout the entire production of the Dune Pro case. Not a single deadline has ever been met, even with getting a mere 10 cases shipped out to the "Lucky 10" backers chosen at random. Dune guaranteed they'd be shipped by 11/15/2021, then they changed the date to 11/17, then 11/18, then 11/20, finally shipping on 11/27.

This company regularly misleads backers with the status of the project and have admitted that they were working on structural revisions to the case in November 2021. This is despite the fact that cases were reported to Indiegogo as "shipped" in May 2021. They also REFUSE to give any kind of refund to those asking for one.

Dune has struggled to manufacture and ship 10 cases in 2 years and have not demonstrated they are capable of fulfilling all 4000+ orders, yet they are preparing to take NEW orders for cases directly through their website (they also missed the deadline of Oct 1st for their new website lol).

While COVID has understandably complicated manufacturing, the team at Dune have mismanaged so many other aspects of the project under their control (like finalizing prototyping before manufacturing) that COVID can no longer be used as an excuse for why this project is floundering.

Anyone who still believes in this project has a severe case of Stockholm Syndrome. Dune has struggled to manufacture and ship 10 cases, missing every single deadline along the way. There's still 4000+ more to go.

With enough excuses and time, Dune could very well deliver every case. However, I wouldn't chalk that up as a victory with all the ill will, deception, and delays surrounding this project.

Lol, they gather $1.3M in 2019 and were able to produce 10 cases they promise to ship till the end of 2021. If it is not a scam - what is a scam? :) TEN cases! TEN! For $1.3M. Rofl, although I also have lost my $314, I cannot stop laughing. I must admit, they're really good scammers

OMG!!! THEY ARE FRAUD..!!! THEY SELL AIR... I'M WAIT FROM 2019... MORE THAN 2 YEARS OF LIES AND NO ONE OF 4000 BACKERS RECEIVE WHAT THEY HAVE BOUGHT...!!! DON'T BUY IT..!!!

It's been over two years since Dune announced this case and everyone who pre-ordered one then has been let down.
Yes there was Covid but the Dune guys at 6-8 months into Covid and around the same time since first announcing the case, even showed the cases were built and ready to ship!
16 months since then, NOT A SINGLE CUSTOMER has had a Dune case delivered and everyone is still waiting at the time of writing this review.
The total cheek what makes these guys stink is the Dune Case guys do adverts to make other people pre-order this yet there first 1000 customers still haven't received their case! Dune keep giving excuses of 'China is on strike', 'O there's another lockdown', 'O the packaging company sent the wrong size boxes' and 'the shipping boat doesn't have permission to leave China' the list goes on and on every 3-5 weeks. They sound like they are the most unluckiest company in the world! But reality is they are like the most disorganised company in the world!
A total joke! Let's see if we get into year 3 of waiting... But I don't have my hopes up! A newly designed Mac Pro or Jesus will return before this model gets released!
Don't bother buying one!

Do not order here. This is a scam. @ The people who work here, for example M*tt, switch your job! You are still young and have competence.
With dune you are permanently damaging your reputation. Leave!

They can not produve 0 cos they change parts each 6 mounth, and they not planing to sheep product to investors. i lost my 210euro on this

Never delivered anything & money flushed down toilet.

Possibility 1 - it was all a scam from beginning.
Possibility 2 - good intentions, but company is a financial catastrophe.

Either way, I have zero faith I will ever see my case inside my front door.

Complete failure of a campaign. They failed to deliver a single case in 2 years. Communication and status updates were very deceitful. I am not convinced in their honest intentions. 4000+ backers supported with a total of 1.3M USD invested, and no tangible result was produced since 2019. Their CEO is avoiding the customers, when available is deflecting from the valid questions being asked.

Both Matthew Thompson and Alexander Gomez are to blame for this. They have been lying constantly for 2 years about the state of their company. They took money and refused to deliver the product that people paid for. Do not do any business with Dune Case LLC.

A project that has so far delivered absolutely nothing* to any of the backers. I would not trust anything this company says and certainly will never use them again.

* Apart from excuses and broken promises and claims of doubtful veracity.

DO not do business with Dunecase LLC. They took my money and refuse to deliver a product.

After countless self-set shipping deadlines, no case has been shipped after nearly 2 years. Even their "lucky 10" marketing to show they have something to ship hasn't been shipped after 3 months.
Keep away and don't put money in their mouths! This company has really fraudulent behavior and seems to be a scam!

It has now been 2 YEARS since ordering and still no product.

If everyone has a work ethic like Alex and his team, we would still be in the stone age fighting mammals with spears.

I backed DuneCase in October 2019. its November 2021 and they've still not delivered.

I've had communications with Alexander C Gomez on many occasions where he has made no effort in sending me a product, despite my offers of assistance to overcome his difficulties.

Alexander C Gomez is the CEO of the company, and, as he reminds us often, won many CES awards, has a background in manufacturing and has run several businesses. you can find his LinkedIn profile by his name and company profile to see what he is capable of.

Though experience during this 2 year campaign, he's failed to exhibit any of the qualities he espouses.

Alex claimed he shipped 300 of his PC cases out of 4700 due to backers in May 2021. He redacted this after six months of complaints, and claims to now be modifying stock. This is despite persisting he had shipped for months. simply, a liar and a thief.

If I could sum it up as a TLDR...

Little was expected, and AlexanderCGomez still failed to impress.

Terrible, fraudulent company. I backed this project nearly 2 years ago, and was promised delivery in January 2020, then November 2020, then May 2021. They failed to meet every deadline. The product and promised accessories still haven't shipped yet.

Dune then randomly chose 10 people to get the orders they paid for in August, and then failed to ship even those. I have received no product for my time, money, or energy.

CEO Alexander C Gomez has no accountability, is openly hostile to customers, regularly lies. STAY AWAY.
