I made an order for the wrong size shower tray an honest mistake and my first order with drench. I called to request a return thinking it would cost me an additional delivery cost of £20 fine of course my mistake. However they have charged me £50 and refuse to reduce it. But if I do an exchange for something else it will be cheaper! I would have most definitely done that but they don’t sell the tray in the right size. It feels a little like they take the opportunity to over charge and as a first time customer I won’t be returning to drench for my other bathrooms because it’s left a bad taste. Victorian lumping customer service is much better

Thank you for your recent review. I am sorry to hear that you felt let down by the collection charge. We aim to be as reasonable and transparent as possible both on our website and in our communication about our optional collection fees.
We appreciate that ordering the wrong size was an honest mistake, and we understand your frustration regarding the return collection charge. As the shower tray was being returned because the incorrect size had been ordered, rather than due to a fault with the product, the applicable collection fee was charged in accordance with our returns terms. Unfortunately, we’re unable to reduce this fee on an individual basis.
We do need to charge a fee to be able to arrange for one of our couriers to collect any unwanted items. This is an optional service and we are happy for any of our customers to return any unused or unwanted items themselves via a local post office or courier service. We do of course, not charge a fee for the collection if the order arrives damaged.
We’re sorry that the cost has left you feeling that we don’t value your custom. We appreciate your feedback and we’re sorry we were not able to alter the collection fee for you. We remain available should you have any other questions or concerns.

Would not take back damaged item
When the plumbers took the tallboy out of the box they showed me where it was damaged. I was outside the 30 refund period but Drench would not even offer an exchange, repair or credit note ! This is disgusting. The unit was really heavy and took both men to lift it into the house. There is no way on earth i would have been able to do that by myself and report it back to Drench within 48hrs. That is unreasonable and physically impossible - especially for a woman on her own. I am now left with a damaged unit.
Their actions are against the Consumer Rights Act 2025 which says I have 90 days to get a credit note or a repair - neither of which has been offered to me.
I will never buy from them again

I can see your order was delivered on the 19th of June and you contacted us in August to inform us about the damage. While we outline in our terms as well as our order confirmation and delivery notices that all items should be inspected as soon as possible and any damages reported to us, we understand it's not always possible to do this during the delivery so we allow our customers 30 days to check for any obvious damage caused in transit and report it to us.
We’re sorry that, on this occasion, we have been unable to offer the resolution you were hoping for. We understand your frustration and appreciate your feedback regarding the practical difficulties of inspecting larger items. All good damaged in transit
Vanity unit, sink and tall cupboard all chipped/damaged in transit and had to send the lot back. Took 2 weeks to receive a refund too.
Realised I bought a vanity unit from these guys 8 years ago and that was also damaged.
Better care and packaging required at Drench!
