I do not recommend doing business with Dort Financial. As a growing business, we opened accounts with them. They have done nothing but make growing our business hard. They continue to hold funds on checks because their tellers want to. They do not have a rhyme or reason as to what requires a hold. They told me today if they don't like the way you look, they will hold your check. No matter how long the account is open or what kind of business you have with them. Escalation is almost non-existent with this credit union. I recommend Elga over them any day.

I applied for a savings account with this bank and these people told me in order to open the account that my credit file would have to be opened at no time did they advise me that a hard pull would be necessary. I explained at that time the experian stated that they should be able to see everything to open an account.
Buyer Beware this credit union pulls hard inquiries to open a saving account without your permission. I am so angry and disappointed by the actions of this company. This bank also racial profiles.

Terrible phone service!! Every time you call any branch they all lead to one line and no one answers. Been on hold for hours on multiple phone calls. NOTHING. Save yourself the massive headaches and don’t get an acct here or you’ll never have a simple phone call answered. This has happened too many times!!

Trying to call them to pay my auto loan and have been on hold for a hour and a half. No one ever answered. Terrible customer service will never get another loan through them. And while on hold they say "Are you tired of being on hold? join are team by going to there website" That's insulting when i've been on hold for a hour already

So far I haven’t had any problems with this bank service. Has been simple and easy to work with

Worst credit union possible for Service Members. Does not care about their customers

Worse credit union ever. Waited til auto loan was 17 months to payoff then inform me I have to have taken out of my deceased husband’s name or they would repo. All payments had been met. Was informed of his death years ago. Threatening me with one week to do. Yet didn’t provide needed release to do. Said to get copy of form for proof only to be told only dealerships have those. Do they know their jobs. Think not. Not even 1 star. Negative x 100 🤬

I recently opened an account here. I needed to add my wife to the account and my personal banker at the Pierson Road location said to just go into anyone of the Dort Financial locations - no appointment needed. Well, that wasn't the case at the Davison Branch. My wife went in there today to add her and we were told that no bankers were available and we had to set an appointment. Ed, the representative booked the appointment 2 days out and acted smug and like we were bothering him. Also,, when we asked about online banking, he acted like we were bothering him again.. Even members sitting in the waiting areas even "raised their eye brows"

Wow - Dort Financial - you're off to a bad start already. What a bad experience. Ed needs some "extra training" or a talking to by his supervisor. He has a POOR attitude. We felt very disappointed and we left.

I had the best experience ever with Jody and Amber at the Hill road location in Burton. I came In extremely nervous but on a referral from a friend. They stated that Dort had the best F&B among any other credit union that they tried and the best customer experience. I was slightly nervous about going in due to my current bankruptcy and not having luck finding a financial institution willing to work with me. Not only did you guys work with me, I am blown away at the benefits and programs available to me as a member here. The $1000 loan option you’re offering will be life changing! Truly! These two lovely ladies were extremely professional, courteous, and patient. I had a million questions about the process and your programs and they answered each one! I never once felt like a number with you guys. They took the time and explained the programs that could benefit me the most given my interesting and different financial situation I’m currently experiencing. My appointment lasted at least an hour and was so informative. I am so happy to finally find a financial institution that sees me as a person instead of a number. Thank you Jody and Amber! I will see you ladies in 90 days to take out my first loan! ❤️

Micayla helped me so much with getting a car loan! She answered all my questions and helped me with other banking issues too while I was there! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience, so nice and personable.

This place is a joke I have been on the phone numerous times trying to contact someone!!!!! Over 50min almost every time this credit union is terrible all calls go through a call center!!!!!! But they don’t answer!!!! It was faster for me to get in my car drive 20 min to get help!!! What a shame just think of customers your loosing because of a CALL CENTER!!!! what would happen if I was out of state on vacation and needed to talk to someone for help???? I’m out this place used to be a great place but going down hill fast!!!!! Fix your issues

We have been with Dort Credit Union since the early 1960's. We've never wanted to go anywhere else as they always have been great. They are friendly and so helpful if there is a problem. We have always highly recommended them to anyone looking for financial needs.

I stopped into the Swartz Creek Branch-there were a few people waiting and I was prepared for a wait. Micayla was courteous, fast and excellent professional service - they need more workers like her .
