Poor product and service from Doors Direct

I bought an exterior meranti door, described on doorsdirect.co.za as "Crafted from solid Meranti timber, this door is built to withstand direct weather exposure, making it ideal wherever a robust, no-fuss exterior door is required", sealed it, and had it hung. Within days, after the first small rain shower, it had swelled up. I emailed Bernard at doors direct about this, and received no reply. About two weeks later, the door was deformed, coming apart, and completely ruined. I sent another email, talked to a chatbot, and finally got a condescending response from Bernard, saying wood is a natural material, and that I improperly installed the door, where it is fully exposed to the weather. He denied that the wording "..withstand direct weather exposure..wherever.." was misleading. A few days later the product description on the doors direct website had been changed. It now includes that the door needs to be sheltered properly, and no mention of direct weather exposure.

So, to conclude, the door is poor quality, the service is terrible, and these people are dishonest.
