Well, this is just gross and BULLSH*T
Firstly, they intentionally make the questions as confusing as possible just to get you to fail. If they asked the question straight on then fine, but all this "which of the following will you agree not to do as it might not be the incorrect decision on the day that is not prior to the day that the program does not work?" and you ask yourself WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY ASKING HERE ?????
Unfortunately established scammery
Keep in mind I passed, I'm not writing this because I failed and am mad about it.
CompTIA doesn't actually test your knowledge, it tests your perspicacity. They use intentionally obfuscated language and the majority of questions are absolutely not in their "certmaster" product.
Nothing but absolute scammers, unfortunately, they are established. It will be a bright day when they are uprooted.
Hi Paris Lewis,
Hi Paris Lewis,
Did you take the confirmation from me , the customer before closing the ticket. Is this is what you have been trained for.
I would lke to escalate my issue. If you find earlier tickets, please clsoe all other duplicate tickets and work on your ticket and resolve the issue. I think you dont understand my impportance or urge why does a customer raise mutliple tickets for same issue. because other agent is unable to understand the issue correctly.
And you unnecessarily closing the ticket saying duplicate ticket. MY ISSUE IS UNRESLOVED FOR MORE THAN 3 WEEKS. IS this why I pay 1000 USD to buy Comptia products???????????????????????????????
THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH IN MY LIFE IS COMPTIA.ORG customer service.
Security+ Voucher not received
Worst company ever. Bought a Security+ voucher and didn't receive it... The money was taken and no response from this company. Their support is more than useless. Doesn't even reply to my contact messages.
More likely a scam website than a real business.
Discrimination to medical emergencies & pregnant women
Their online test kept glitching and keeping me in the queue unable to leave for any restroom for 2 hours (9 months pregnant). They allowed me to reschedule.
The night before my in person test I was admitted to the hospital for induced medical emergency delivery and was there from 1/2 through 1/7. I've opened requests twice. First request did not care that I was hospitalized the night before. Second request asked for proof and said they would only offer 50% off next voucher.
rip off
Purchased a package of 2 vouchers and training material for 2 tests required for A+ certification. The purchase agreement said the vouchers and training would expire in one year. Took 1st test - no problem. Went to take 2nd test and was unable to schedule it. Turns out they retired the 220-1002 test series with ZERO email notification. I had to scramble and study for the new version of the test and take the exam before my 2nd voucher expired. Presently I have passed both required tests for CompTIA A+ certification but I won't be certified unless I retake the first test (it's new version.) That will require multiple hundreds of dollars and hours of studying. Customer support has been unhelpful. My complaint was that they sold study material that became useless in less than a year while I paid for a year's access. I asked for access to the new study material but they say it is "recommended a candidate knows the retirement and launch dates prior to making any purchases." But how can I know that if the retirement dates aren't public? Has anyone else experienced this with CompTIA? Seems illegal to me.
Their expensive Certmaster is horrible
Their expensive Certmaster is horrible. I was scoring 100% on their practice exams before taking the CompTIA+ core 2 exam. Failed the actual exam twice. How can the practice exam results from THEIR PROGRAM be so far off from their actual exam? Because they want to make more money off of you retaking the exam? Completely unfair.
They will lie and take your money.
They will lie and take your money.
Do not do virtual tests
I am reporting them for making up rules for testing that you don't even see or agree to like " looking off the screen" during a 2 hr test. These people are unreasonable and unrealistic and should be ashamed of themselves
Application Crash - No Refund
I took a Network + exam from CompTIA, and normally during exam there is a person for you all the time that you can speak with if you have any problems. But there was nobody, during whole exam.
The application crashed in about first 10 minutes and I needed to relaunch it, which of course took some of my precious time. I tried to chat with someone, but it was not possible in the application to write something in the chat. That was the case during whole exam.
Normally, there should be a person at very beginnig of exam to confirm everything, by sending you an message, or contact you anyhow, but this time was nobody there.
With all that stress and time loss I contacted later on the CompTIAs Customer support, and they actually Confitmed with PearsonVue that there WAS actually an issue. But, since they saw I finished the exam they thing everything is then ok.
It is not ok. Not at all. No refund or offer to retake an exam, or some voucherm, or some discount for later on exams, nothing.
They CONFIRM the issue from there side (Or PeasonVuem I dont carer for me they are one thing), and they say on that : It is ok.
This was the last time I took exam at CompTIA.
There are many other online platforms offering this service.
Unethical and Untruthful
I took an original exam for Security+ with CompTIA in 2016, and used a verizon.net personal email. Verizon.net discontinued email service finalized in May 2018, where I had to find another service, and I changed my address in 2018 with CompTIA to a protonmail.com account. I got notices, emails, and then renewed my certification in 2019. I kept getting emails from them until early 2022. Being caught up with a very busy job, the pandemic, and other events, I was relying on renewal emails to prompt me into taking the cert master test like I did to renew in 2019. When I finally realized I had ceased getting emails in July 2022, I logged in and couldn't see any certification information. I had to email them, at which time they told me that in 2021, they had re-imported my 2016 information from Pearson Vue (original exam), so emails had been rerouted to verizon.net, which no longer existed. They just merged it in July and I was able to see my certification expired a mere month earlier in June. After they said THEY changed back to the email in 2021 that I tested with in 2016, JENNIFER WHITE now keeps saying "I" changed it back to an email I no longer had access to. I have 90 days from expiration to enter work experience and other training to meet the renewal requirements, I meet very many objectives with work experience, but that's only 9 credits no matter if you meet 1 or 10 objectives. I have several training courses, but COMPTIA makes it so you can only count one class once and 1 credit per hour (even though taken annually, so 3 times). I can't meet the 50 credits to renew within a 90-day grace period, and they don't allow the cert master test to be taken after expiration. I'd have to take a new exam at great cost (she offered a voucher) and effort and they won't even admit they did something wrong. I responsibly changed my email, renewed my cert in 2019, a pandemic happened, work life became utterly crazy, they come around in 2021 and change my correct information to incorrect, old information but won't be accountable and JENNIFER WHITE keeps saying that "I" changed my email back to one I no longer could use. They won't admit it's their fault, and won't let me take the CertMaster CE to renew like I did in 2019 because it's after expiration.
If I could rate them a zero
If I could rate them a zero, I would. Between CompTIA and PearsonVue, I have had the worst testing experience of my life. Avoid these two suckers at all cost. Their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. They do not care at all about quality service but making you pay for their overpriced test. And CompTIA always disconnects from the blame as much as possible, to put it on PearsonVue. The PearsonVue customer service people will steal and use your vouchers and then refuse to tell you who used them, I have had 2 vouchers stolen, and PearsonVue will keep issuing you used vouchers and waste your time to discourage you from pursuing the issue. CompTIA will keep sending you back to PearsonVue. I have had their stupid exam proctor stop my online test 10 minutes in, because I could not sit straight with my back problems. I always sit leaning either to the left or to the right. Despicable two organizations. Avoid these suckers at all cost. They keep sending you back and forth between the 2 of them to waste your time and discourage from pursuing your issue. Save your money. I am not taking the exam anymore and not paying anything to sustain these 2 horrible scams.
Beware of purchasing vouchers through…
Beware of purchasing vouchers through CompTIA. Once purchased they need to be used via Pearson Vue who proctor the exam.
I purchased a Security+ voucher through CompTIA, used it to sit the exam with Pearson Vue and experienced a fault which meant the exam couldn't be pushed through to me. Due to time constraints I needed to purchase another voucher to sit the exam in time, and did so expecting that there would be a refund system between the two companies in place for this kind of issue.
However, there is not. CompTIA advised that their policy is not to issue refunds for vouchers, at all. Pearson Vue advise that as the purchase was not made through them they are unable to issue a refund.
Pearson Vue have issued another voucher, for any CompTIA certification I may wish to sit (but expires next year). Both CompTIA and Pearson Vue both seem unable to understand that I have no current need to sit another certification at the moment, but have a much greater need for the £270 odd they are refusing to refund.
Horrible quality!
Horrible quality!! Get the ebook elsewhere!! It’s taking over a week to hear back about an escalated ticket(s) due to CompTia providing a bad access code!! Not willing to exchange for a paper back or stay on the ball of things. Customer service is as worthless and their access code for the ebook.

Comptia Beta Exam not $50, false advertising
The Comptia is showing the PK0-005 exam Project + exam as $50 on their website until April 6th. I tried to schedule the exam for April 2nd. I have spent a month preparing for this exam. I have also spent over $100 on study material.
The exam is still available but showing up for $348. When I call comptia...then say it must be a glitch on Pearson Vue website.
1. Pricing glitch
or
2. The beta exam is not longer available because a certain number of people have taken the exam...so it's glitches to show the PKO-004 price.
I call comptia. They transfer me to Pearson Vue. I even speak to a supervisor there. They tell me that COMPTIA controls the pricing, so I need to speak to them. We'll, I already did 🤦🏾♀️ 2 companies pointing fingers at eachother...but no one wants to FIX the issue.
The website says NOTHING about "a certain number of people"... but only mentions a DEADLINE of April 6th. I wouldn't recommend ANYONE take or prep for a beta exam.
FALSE ADVERTISING!
Pearson Vue Proctors are…
Pearson Vue Proctors are OUT-OF-CONTROL. Treated me like DIRT.
Recently I had an abnormal experience with Pearson Vue. On my 9th exam from CompTIA I was treated like dirt. I agree with other certification holders that outsourcing the proctoring of exams for Americans is an issue!! In fact…a National Security issue. Cultural differences make it impossible to work with these folks. Anyone with a minimum of an Associates degree understands this. Never would I treat them like this as a proctor.
How do you not know that your software has been failing exam takers for years? Pearson Vue…
Pearson Vue lies. They fail you for things you did not do! (See reviews below). They don’t do the research to resolve issues so why does everyone keep using them? We all know there is NO lack of software developers out there.
In person exams are just as bad as online proctored from home. I actually chose at home so I could eliminate the 40 minutes of driving coupled with poor treatment from their support team. If Im going to be treated poorly, Id rather be at home and not create environmental waste in the process.
CompTIA, an American, DoD baseline certification provider should be making changes to ensure that not only their customers feel supported but, that they are also not compromising National Security in the process. CompTIA, I would help if you needed people! Come on!?
CompTIA, please allow me to have faith in something. You have to make better choices for us! Otherwise, you will lose your credibility all because of Pearson Vue’s actions.
We can do better together!
I bought a comptia A+ voucher a couple…
I bought a comptia A+ voucher a couple of weeks ago, all vouchers are non-refundable. I’m from Ireland and bought an Albanian voucher as I’m currently staying in Albania, it’s impossible to take the test as I don’t have an Albanian passport and because it’s an Albanian voucher, I won’t be able to take the exam in Ireland. I just spent $350 and my savings are minuscule. They also require two forms of identification for the exam although some people on reddit have used debit cards and bills as ID documents, Two year old passport is clearly not adequate. Very poor service!
Passed Network+ in the past, but not visible
CompTIA lost my proof of certificate as well, only A+ is yet visible in 'exam history' at their website, as well as PearsonVUE. I've put the most efford in Network+, and it's just gone!
That platform won't allow you to leave…
That platform won't allow you to leave reviews on their products and makes an excuse "sorry we are looking into problem".
Company itself look fine, but BE CAREFUL when buying its study materials:
The platform where the product is provided is just AWFUL. So buggy! When printing all the tables come out formatted in a poor way with text overlapping. Please fire the person who is responsible for review of the content. For the price you pay this book is EXTREMELY LOW QUALITY. Not to mention all the mistakes in the text, this is just a joke. Def do not recommend. You guys need to pay more attention when writing the material! This is so unprofessional makes me doubt about all company as a reference in the industry.
