I needed to know the interest I received from closed SmartSave accounts in order to complete the 24/25 and 25/26 self assessment forms that have been thrust upon me. Now you can’t log in to SmartSave, I phoned the Chetwood help number and braced myself for frustration and despair. Fortunately, a very nice and helpful lady called Karen was able to provide the figures straight away. It left me a bit dazed to be honest.

A very quick and prompt response regarding a question I had with a savings account, and Lucie who I dealt with gave a good and clear reply to my query.

Speedy resolution to a silly mistake on my part. Really friendly and supportive staff.

Don't be put off if the name is not familiar. Chetwood offered a good savings product with an attractive interest rate. The process of opening a new account was straightforward, and your money is protected. Excellent if you want to lock away savings for a fixed time.

I need to change some contact details. This was achieved without any problems and the bank confirmed the changes via secure email. Good service.

on-line Customer Services were able to greatly assist me, once security vetting had been completed quickly and easily. Would use that facility again, should the need arise...

Flawless setup & online account management; plus top interest rates, of course!

I did research for FSCS and best interest rates. Chetwood was amongst the best. But the difference was that Chetwood responded to my enquiries and application more professionally (on the phone did not advise me "we are very busy, please hold.") for ten minutes or more!! Chetwood offered me the option to call me back.

Chetwood bank only went with these because of the interest rate of 4.55% worse thing I ever done.
Tried to get my money back during the 14 day investment period but to no avail AS INTEREST IS PAYED DAILY on a 1y fixed rate. NEVER AGAIN.

We already hold 2 separate accounts and they rejected our new application on the grounds that they could not verify our identity!

The Complaint handler did not have anything to add despite informing him/her that you already have fixed deposit accounts in our name. Despite that they did not uphold our complaint.

We are very disappointed with this response.
