Awful. Go elsewhere

Awful.
This used to be a wonderful company. Sadly it is a far cry from how it was even a year ago.
Its terrible app (created by a third party company and used by several other UK cannabis companies) has been abandoned.
Its not the fact that my inbox was inundated with constant emails suggesting I request a new prescription (just days after ordering a new one) for weeks on end, and phoning to complain and ask for it to stop made no difference.
No, it was that as a "light user" only wanting to have my prescription changed in consultation with my (excellent) consultant, the CB1 Admin team decided to leave it up to an algorithm to decide what strength of oil I was to have.
Again, I complained but to no avail.

Simply, if you order in more than 4 week intervals, the algorithm punishes you by reducing the potency of your prescription.
In other words it is NOT a medical decision made between the patient and the consultant.

My PAIN does not get LESS worse when it comes along because I haven't ordered for awhile...
So, order your prescription MORE often than you should, because CB1 are pushing cannabis onto its patients, and you won't get punished.

What the hell my medical needs have to do with an admin department and does NOT have to do with my consultant is beyond me.

So, I decided to move. I asked for a Discharge Letter by email and phone over a series of weeks. Nothing.
On one occasion, some idiot said, "Oh, ok. I'll do it. Bye," and just put the phone down. I was amazed. But she didn't create a Discharge Letter. She hadn't even acknowledged the emails which were apparently, "lost somewhere."

Today I had a shouting match with two different admin people who have no manager other than the COO. They have no manager...

Neither cared. Neither said sorry to hear you're leaving. Neither asked why.

This company has gone from 5⭐ to 1 in a year. Mr Simon Tordoff, good luck dealing with light users who only need a one month prescription every month.
There's no point making a complaint - it goes to the same enquiries email address and 'answered' or deleted by the same people who you're complaining about, so I'll reach out to the Cannabis Industry Council instead and the CQC.

Meanwhile, I'm now safe and happy with a company that uses MULTIPLE pharmacies (unlike CB1) to fulfil its orders, which means I can reliably have my prescription fulfilled from now on because CB1 couldn't do that either often enough, when I did require medication.

Overall then, they were great a year or so ago. Today, they don't care. They're cheap for a reason and their admin department is disrespectful and couldn't give a t0ss.

I'll also be sharing my recent experiences with some of the organisations out there aimed at helping those patients in need of medicinal cannabis for pain management, who I'm sure will also be interested to know.

The issues you describe occurred around the time we transitioned to our new web-based portal on 17th November and relocated to a larger dispensary. During this period there were teething issues with order processing, communication, and tracking, which have now been resolved. All clinical decisions, including prescription strength adjustments, are made by qualified clinicians in consultation with patients.

Been with CB1 for about 6 months and…

Been with CB1 for about 6 months and been happy with every process. From initial consultation to been cleared to chose my meds each month.
My only slight criticism is there's not often much choice at the cheaper end. £5 to £6.50 per gram. If there was more choice it might temp more people off the 'street' stuff. You can get really good stuff at £6 per gram.

Always been straight with me.

I have always been supported with Cb1.
I was on my last sleepless night. My medicine had arrived. It took time, but I knew what to expect, there is alot of positive reviews online, to help make your decision. I had some concerns, gave them a call and was helped right away.
Consultation was simple, just had to wait, everything happened behind the scenes, I was confirmed suitable and have had no problems since.
Thanks to cb1 I get good sleep, without harmful tablets.
I am also on a treatment plan for pain. No hidden rubbish, just help and support. Thank you.

CB1 helps me to function more normally

On joining CB1 I have found the whole experience very beneficial for me. The support, service and prescription delivery have been first class.
Having access to the prescriptions available to me on CB1 has helped to improve my physical and mental wellbeing being.
Suffered with Colitis for many years and all the other symptoms that go along with it, discomfort, anxiety, insomnia etc. The prescription and service I have received from CB1 has been a massive boost. It gives me some discomfort relief and my sleep has vastly improved. Having regular access to medication that is legitimately sourced and approved makes a big difference and the ability to reorder my prescription in plenty time ensures I don't run out. Knowing their is also support available and I can email them out of business hours is so helpful and convenient. My overall health has improved mentally with the ability to sleep better which has allowed me to function better with work. I self medicated for years but medication wasn't always available to me and at times I wasn't sure the quality and effectiveness was of a good or safe standard.
I'm continuing to use CB1 pharmacy it really does work for me and has become a staple in my well being and overall health that allows me to function with more normality.

I've suffered from ibs for over 30…

I've suffered from ibs for over 30 years. It gives me alot of pain and discomfort. I had been taking painkillers nrly every night and often on day too. Since getting my prescription via cb1 who have been very efficient and professional I haven't taken any. No joke. And that's been 3 months now. I am getting better quality sleep and it's better controlling my symptoms well. Not a 100 % cure as I'm not sure that's possible buy it has improved my quality of living alot. Cb1 have been great and would highly recommend.

My experience with CB1 has been excellent.

After my first consultation 6 months ago I felt that my consultant appreciated my issues and listened to me, then took care and time to explain why he was advising certain products to help with pain relief and both their benefits and potential side effects. I felt reassured that we could readdress any issues that may (but haven’t yet) arise.

I’m very happy with their service, in 6 months with CB1 there has been one issue with availability, which was resolved very satisfactorily over the phone with friendly and competent assistance.

After my second consultation I felt like they do care about my situation and are looking to out for my well being and the successs of my treatment.

I appreciated and have followed their instructions for further success in my treatment.

I am so happy being able to treat my condition better and not being dependant on intrusive pain relief medicine (Gabapentinol and others) which was slowly turning me into a zombie.

I cannot fault CB1

I cannot fault CB1, the app is so simple to use, the doctors are fantastic and are always available to answer any concerns. The medication I am prescribed has really helped and improved my condition. I've managed to stop taking prescribed tablets and feel so much better. Thank you CB1.

Game Changer

I can’t complain about any part of their service. Their assessment was thorough, and the medication always arrives on time. Therapeutically it has been a game changer for me. I’ve stopped taking 4 of my 5 psych meds, and feel open, relaxed, awake and optimistic about the future. I sleep like a log and I’m re-engaging with the CBT I learned to cope with difficult moments. THC seems to put more space around your thoughts, so you can unpick them, and see them for what they are… just weather! Thanks

From start to continuing day

From start to continuing day , CB1 medical have been 1st class to every query I have asked of them .brilliant work keep it up.
I have suffered with joint,knees and neck nerve damage for years struggling with prescription pain medication with little effect of them working, I’ve been with CB1 for 3 months now and I have better sleep and I’m more comfortable and mobile than I have been over the last 3-4 years …. From signing up to getting g my prescription they explained everything they went though my medical history and didn't judge at all I suffer wuth complex ptsd cause from long term trauma abuse.
Since I joined up ive been able to go out in public and not have a break down .

I've never had any issues with CB1

I've never had any issues with CB1. One consultation fee a year of £50, far lower than one or two other clinics. Goods have always been on time and in good order. Any questions have been answered promptly and politely.

I was a little sceptical at first

I was a little sceptical at first, but having exhausted my pharmaceutical options I thought I'd give it a go.
I've found the whole process so easy, the doctor was really well-informed and helped me to understand the medication and the different strains. All of the staff are lovely in fact.
I ackowledge what other reviews have said about product availability, that's sometimes the case with conventional medication too; my daughter has been waiting 7 months for ADHD meds. So to sometimes have to switch to a different strain is not the end of the world for me.
I've found it really helpful all in all, and I'm grateful for the recommendation. I'm not pain-free, but I'm much more comfortable. And that's a win in my book.

The best service I’ve experienced since…

The best service I’ve experienced since starting medical canna. They actually seem like they care, from the initial telephone call they provided details and options not offered by other clinics. The details of how your order is flowing through their system was a welcome addition against other clinics. The repeat prescription process was simple effective with subsequent deliveries being very prompt. There have been some small points that were addressed promptly and effectively. Options and access to actual people was great and left me with a very positive experience throughout!
