Very quick response. Referral was approved almost immediately after consultation. Consultation was very thorough. Initially, I was sceptical as it was online, but diagnosis was confirmed by in-person physio.
Limited practitioners near me who had availability in less than 2 weeks.
Not sure if approved number of physio sessions (4) will be enough for full recovery.

BUPA app and the team have made it really easy for me to book appointments and get referred to specialists. Managed to get appointments, tests and results within 2 weeks. Don’t know what I would do without them!

The consultation with the Bupa appointed Consultant was very thorough with adequate time given to for the fullest answers to questions raised. I left knowing that I was being very well cared for and that my health was in expert hands. This was only possible because of the unfailing help and assistance given and received from the Bupa staff when help is sought for the necessary authorisation.

Overall the service was very good and the insurance worked well in getting a swift operation at a good local hospital with a top consultant.
Unfortunately the one area which let it down was receiving an unexpected bill from them for a "anaesthetic shortfall" where they wouldn't cover all of the anaesthetists costs. Our family have had private medical insurance for over 30 years and had several major operations and never had to pay any additional charge like this before.
