Extremely Poor Installation Experience and Aftercare
I recently purchased a Vaillant ecoFIT Pure 835 boiler installation through Boxt. Unfortunately, the entire process has been highly unsatisfactory.
During the installation, the gas engineer severed my washing machine outlet pipe but failed to inform me. This resulted in significant flooding to the kitchen, patio, adjacent toilet, and carpets when the machine was used. A subsequent visit by a representative to inspect the damage ended with him stating it was “not his expertise,” and no resolution was provided.
Additionally, the gas engineer advised that an electrician would attend to complete outstanding electrical work. Boxt confirmed this follow-up, but no one has contacted me, leaving my fridge disconnected and unusable.
Communication throughout has been inadequate. Despite submitting a formal complaint and sending multiple follow-up emails, responses have been slow and unhelpful. I have been forced to purchase a temporary mini washing machine to manage in the interim.
While the boiler itself appears to be of good quality (so far!) bear in mind its just been a week since installation, the standard of installation, damage handling, and customer service has fallen far below expectations. I am now arranging repairs privately and will be seeking full reimbursement, daily compensation, and all associated costs. If Boxt does not provide appropriate and timely compensation, I will pursue this matter through litigation.
I would not recommend Boxt based on this experience.

Frustrating boiler servicing booking
Boxt's "hassle-free service" was anything but.
Initial inspection appointment cancelled on the day, re-scheduled appointment 1 month later chaotic, with engineer calling & asking to attend the night before, then to postpone because of Congestion Charge, then to request I call HQ to re-schedule for a Saturday... eventually to arrive and do the job as requested/expected. What is the point of having an online appointment booking service if it can be changed on a whim by the appointed contractor? Considering customers also have to make special and costly arrangements to accommodate pre-arranged inspections, a less cavalier approach to customer service around such appointments would not go amiss.

Got a standard boiler installed last week after being stuck without hot water for 4 days. Went onto the BOXT website, filled out the survey, uploaded pictures and got a phone call to confirm everything was ready to go. Then, we got Gary (our installer) with us the next morning!! He was simply fabulous, very focused and got the job done within 6 hours. He was very respectful of my property and was happy to answer questions 🏆.
The only reason I'm knocking off a star is because the wrong boiler arrived from the company in the morning!! But within 2 hours, the correct one arrived and it was all sorted.
BOXT has an app where you can keep up to date with documents and installation info. Communication was quick and friendly as well, through email, text and phone call.
Lifesavers, I could not recommend them more! And I wouldn't hesitate to give them a call or use the chat feature on the website if you are unsure about anything. Shout out to Kevin and Karl as well, great service 🙌
Also, you can upload pictures before even placing an order and get feedback if you're worried. I would recommend calling them and asking them about this.

Friendly and efficient engineer who remembered coming here to do a service last year!
Everything was done quickly and…
Everything was done quickly and efficiently. Engineers were friendly and clearly competent and experienced. The whole process was simple and user friendly. Now enjoying mains pressure hot water and heating. Simple to use thermostat that can be moved to any room you like is also a bonus.
If there was anything to complain about it would be some hand prints left on paintwork but considering the amount of work that needed to be done, it's a very small price to pay. Well done.
