Box condition concerns

Always love shopping with you for the prices, easy to navigate site, and massive selection! My only issue lately has been the condition in which my packages arrive. Ever since the boxes have been changed to the easy-open top, they’ve arrived with splitting seams and corners. No damage to books has resulted from this so far, only cosmetic, however the continued damage is concerning. I always recommend your site to fellow readers and am unsure if they have experienced the same issue, but any doubt in a service can sour someone on repeating their business.

Do you care about customers & customer service

Shipping takes so long. Tracking is weird - difficult to really know the schedule & where package is in its journey. I have yet to receive a parcel that was not mangled. I’ve lost small books & bookmarks out of the holes & tares. I’ve received books missing pages - broken spines with loose pages. In addition I’ve tried numerous times to get positive results. One time I was required to prove things fell out through tears & holes. I’m still wondering how to accomplish this. Also I was required to return the damaged merchandise
This I did - return postage was $30. When the books arrived I was then told that title was out of stock & you do not refund return postage or the cost of books So I am out twice. BTW this has happened 4 times.

When the books arrive in good condition your prices cannot be beat. But the boxes are flimsy and the books are allowed to jiggle around during shipping. I know the brown paper once used was wasted but the books arrive in much better condition.
I make these suggestions each time I receive a survey and NOT ONCE have I received a response or comments. The poor customer service runs rampant across the company.

My grandchild has enjoyed your books tremendously and that means so much to me. The books peak her curiosity about life in a positive and uplifting way and also while helping her establish a foundation for reading it also helps her peak her curiosity to explore the world around her. Awful, will probably never buy here…

Awful and will probably never buy here again.
The way the books are packaged is horrendous, no packaging to ensure books don't fly around in the box. Box they do use is so easily to tear apart. 3 books came bent, the box was heavily damaged that I didn't have to tear any part of the box to open it, as it was already opened. It takes forever and a day for customer service to contact you back for an inquiry.

great books! bad packaging

I am so thrilled to have found Book Outlet, and will be shopping here a lot. My only complaint is that when my boxes arrive they’re always open. Three times now the US post office has delivered my box of books and it is wide open. I haven’t lost a book yet! But I feel like there must be something wrong with the method used to seal the boxes.

This was my first order from Book…

This was my first order from Book Outlet. I thought it was easy, simple, and inexpensive. I'm looking forward to using the books for my students' families to check out and take home. I'm famliliar with many of the books and have not seen many of these titles for several years. I look forward to reading some of them to my students as well. I will definitely come back and order more from Book Outlet soon.

The book price was fabulous (a fourth…

The book price was fabulous (a fourth of others’ prices) & arrived in perfect condition in a week. The transit time did seem slow & I was unable to track it with the link provided. I ended up emailing, & then calling & the representative I spoke to was very polite & helpful. The book arrived later that morning.

Long delivery time

Got the book but it took what seemed like forever ! 11 days from order date to delivery. I needed it for a book club - not sure if the savings of $4 was worth the wait.

More missing than shipped

More than half of the books I ordered and was charged for did not come. The message saying my order was on its way included all the books I had ordered.

Packaging is horrible

Packaging is horrible. Boxes are weak. They often have holes or are partially ripped open. There is no packing material inside. Books bounce, jostle, and slide into each other, causing damage. My last package had to be taped closed by the post office, because it was so badly ripped. Two books inside sustained damage. I'm sick of taking photos of damage and asking for refunds. I'm no longer buying from Book Outlet. If they go back to the previous boxes and packaging I'll reconsider.

Packaging not appropriate size

Books were packaged in too big of a box. Had some damage, but not enough to warrant the hassle of sending them back.

The only issue I have is the packaging

The only issue I have is the packaging. The books so far have mostly been okay when receiving them but the box has always been pretty badly damaged. Great prices, easy to navigate the website, nothing else to complain about!

Prices are great but shipping is SLOW

Prices are great but the time it took to go from the day the order was placed to actually shipping the order takes FOREVER. We ordered a book on 12/10, thinking 2 weeks would be enough time to get it for Christmas. We got a notice that it had “shipped” on 12/12, but the book didn’t actually start moving through the system or leave Canada until 12/23 and it wasn’t delivered until 12/30. The book itself is great, but it’s pretty frustrating to have a package take 3 weeks to get anywhere with how fast other companies are able to get things done these days.
